Soundlove Of Petrichor

spooning atmosphere
dust off you, lilac
eyes with you again
and the water's tight
urges in your hair

rain's attaching
us cheek to cheek
we are the same
tears as flowers

forever
drops; though a
christened fall,

raincoat,
scented

song

Paige, I can hear the rain fall, christened and scented in its petrichor song. I loke the formatting of this poem as it reflects the descent of a raindrop! Blessings!

Paige, your poetry is thought-provoking on the transient nature of worldly prosperity. The poem has a fantastic rhythm and rhyme scheme, which improves readability and overall flow.

As the first rain drops fall on earth, a sweet scent rises and invades our nose- the Petrichor. Nicely done.

I love sparse poetry when its done as beautifully as this. Those first 2 stanzas in particular are very beautiful.
