You And I

In blue water I'm going down
swept away by the tide all sense left behind
in dark waters I might drown
caught in the current out of my mind
holding my breath and hoping
my love for you will stand the test of time
out of my depth and hanging on
for the day you say you are mine
in over my head how long can I tread
these waters for you
don't know what to do
what's to be done
I'm between the devil and...
deep waters still run

The Poorest Man

The poorest man is who sell his own soul to the devil for money.

Premium Member Schmoozing with the Devil

Some call him Mr. President
some call him Mr. Trump
Now he also will be known
as Putin’s little chump

He’s broken every oath he took
each word he speaks, a lie
He whispers words of secrecy
just like a Russian spy

The leaders all around the world
now see him as a foe
Still in awe, of how a jewel
is now a horror show

He greeted a known villain
with a welcome mat of red
As countless bombs rained on Ukraine
and innocents lie dead

He stands against democracy
a puppet and a fool
Schmoozing with the devil
he is Putin’s favorite tool

So now it’s all left up to us
to stop this fascist swing
For we, the People, will not serve
a tyrant or a king

EVIL IS THE DEVIL

The devil is afraid
I told him to show his face
He's steadily hiding in dark
Plotting evil
Taking me unaware, he's a coward

If he can't get to me
He comes through
Those are close to me
I use discernment
So I don't hurt those that are prey to him.

His words are so soothing
But his heart
Is filled with hatred and deceit
Whenever he offers things
Which I know he doesn't give for free
Every gift has hidden intention
Steadily plotting to ruin or destroy
Those that are aware and confident.

Big Example Of Kids Killers

People shall recall Netenyahu kids killer wanted for murder.

DEVIL IN THE DARK

The sun shone in bewilderment,
Scornfully it scorch,
As Rose plead her fifth amendment,
Her good nature made a strife,
Lea smirk in disdain ,
Saith her world has ended.

Twice fairer than Lea,
In Lea heart lies deceit,
She whispers in Rose ear,
Come and sit, where Serpent hisses,
I will smother thee with kisses,
Honey lies secrets not known,
In Lea lives the honey.

Thrice shy, Rose smiled,
Shame to nymphs, her beauty adorns,
Alluring nature, men confuse,
The Serpent hold the kisses,
“Come, let’s dine with the devil” she said.
My table is set for thee, Lea.

ENVY

It enters like an old friend
Too familiar to knock
Slipping in quietly
When joy is about to speak.

It frowns at others’ laughter
Shudders at joined hands
Sours even the sweetest moments
Like a worm in ripe fruit.

A plague, it spreads
Changing faces and shifting names
Hard to name and harder to cure
It hides behind our smiles.

It festers and grows into hate
A hollow in the heart we feed
Not with love but with longing
To be anything but ourselves.

Envy is the devil in disguise
Polite and persuasive
The root of quiet wars
And loud silences in the soul.

Get Thee Behind Me

Speak of the devil incarnate
to give the devil his due
not to play devil's advocate
tho' devil-may-care
the devil is in the details
and while we're there
to state so now would be opportune
he who sups devil's food cake
or devilled eggs with the devil
should have a very long spoon
but if we don't the devil you say
better the silver-tongued devil you know
or there'll be the devil to pay
and we may go to the devil and be
between the devil and the deep blue sea
but it's the devil in me
as for the devil I have no sympathy

Heavenly Host

Fading away as the days
dwindle down to a dismal few
I'm still grinning
what more can I do
my head's spinning
eyes dimming hair thinning
but if the devil's in the details
he drives a hard bargain
and if heaven's like a five-star hotel
with 'Welcome' on the mat
remember when beginning
your final innings
there'll be no winning
when you're up at bat

SHE WORE A CROSS

There it hung, quietly trembling
a cross etched above her heart
a man crucified in ink
on skin the world had judged.

My desire blurred the sacred
fingers brushed past holy lines
the cross shifting under motion
as if faith itself sighed.

She whispered, “Slow down, boy
this isn't a race to win
you're not here to conquer,
just to feel without shame.”

And in that moment, something broke
not lust, but my assumptions.
She wore a cross
and carried more grace than I did.

Not all devils wear horns.
Not all saints live in temples.
Some carry God
in the most unexpected places.

Rage and Hatred

Raw, unfiltered anger, it’s all that I know. Constantly
Aggravated by worthless pieces of scum that I struggle
Getting off of my shoes. A nasty glare, a hostile retort,
Everything and anything can, and will, fan the flame.

After the infliction, what happens then? A swelling, a vicious,
Nasty swelling in the throat. A horrible torrent of flames threatens to
Destroy all in its path. Words of pure venom threaten to spew out.

Harrowing to myself and others, I know this to be so. But, like a sore
Affliction or rash, it never truly dissipates. It only subsides, a dormant ember
That flickers in the inky darkness until some ignorant cretin ignites it again.
Red, red, red! Blinding, sizzling-hot red is all I see. Pure and unfiltered
Evil that only cares for spreading vile hatred and destruction. Suddenly, the
Devil is fatigued. It sinks into the abyss, dormant. But not for long.

Yes- hustler,
all dressed in his lies.
Slick talking,
devil tongue.
Loves ladies of all ages,
you watch out for him.

Premium Member The Devil Philosopy

The parties were in full swing.
The doorbell rang, yet no one knew it.
In that instant, everything changed for the party guests.
Speak softly, lean in closer, and turn down the volume.
A sudden death—another soul has taken its last breath.
Did he pass the test? Sniffing cocaine, he choked,
Dust scattering across his desk.
What a mess!
This was his life; he surrendered to cocaine—
Cocaine was his guilty pleasure.
Have you ever witnessed their souls diving into the sea?
It's too late for cleansing.
The drip, drip, drip of blood dissolves into the sea.
This evokes a different philosophy—
The devil’s philosophy.
