I met her where her shadow leaned,
Beneath the cold and hollow sky,
Her voice was soft, her eyes unseen—
Yet still, I told the devil, yes goodbye.
She traced her hand along my wrist,
Her touch like ash, her breath warm mist,
She whispered, "Stay, you won't be missed, "
But I refused to pay the cost.
She promised love, she promised light,
A kingdom built on velvet lies,
Yet I have danced in darker nights
And seen the ruin in her green eyes.
So when she called, I turned away,
I would not beg, I would not cry—
Let others kneel, let others stay,
But I have told the devil, yes goodbye.
Listen to the sounds--
Eerie, spectral, strange, haunting:
These are cursèd grounds.
Reeking, nauseous smell
Reaching to your very soul--
From the pit of hell.
Darkness and shadows
Fly on the cavernous walls
Like a million crows.
Teeth as black as coal,
Bloodshot eyes and twisted horns--
Satan’s crafty troll.
Flames that leap up high
Damned souls scream in piercing cries:
No respite is nigh.
Serpents intertwine
Around Satan’s very throne
Where demons recline.
Pitch black and blood red
Dominate the ghastly scene:
Where the Devil led.

#One should be cautious in starting a war, but
once begun, it should be carried out thoroughly#
#Quote by Hirohito circa Dec 1942#
Onslaught
As little boy fell over Hiroshima,
a demigod dismayed how it grew
Into a fat man above Nagasaki,
Hirohito said, so I’m the devil too
Both are one, and the same person,
to say otherwise is splitting atoms
When two suns appear overhead,
an emperors duality, cannot fathom
And necessary evil is a dubious sin,
willpower making its choice that day
Expedience worked saving millions
I’m firmly on the side of Enola Gay
Reckoning came, not a flash in the pan
for marching POWs to death, at Bataan
Also, Pearl harbour, Iwo Jima, Guam
Midway, Okinawa, Tarawa, and Saipan
Job’s done, the mission accomplished
a time to celebrate, peace be strong
our conscience does not need absolution
obliterated by belief, we did no wrong
Little Boy/Fat man, US code names
for the atomic bombs in WW2

Prompt chosen Onslaught

In a little Irish village
Just south of Dublin town
Lies a little Catholic church
With little houses scattered 'round
It was a bright cool Sunday morning
When the bells started ringing
And the people started coming
As the choir started singing
McGee put on his coat
His hat, his tie and vest
For every Sunday morning
He was sure to look his best
Although wifey was away
He could still hear her saying
"No Pub today, My sunshine,
It's in church, You will be praying"
So reluctantly McGee strolled in
And found himself a pew
There He sat in utter silents
Not sure of what to do
Then, no sooner the Mass began
There came a chilling roar
Gods immortal enemy
Was standing at the door
Some people screamed
Some people cried
But they all ran from the church
Trampling one another
While McGee sat un-besmirched
The Devil asked McGee
"Don't you want to scream for aid"
McGee replied " Not really, It's not like, that I'm afraid"
Then Satan asked McGee
"Are you familiar with my name"
McGee replied " Yes indeed
And know all about your game"
"So why aren't you running now
With your heart all filled with fear"
" It's because, Dark one, I've been married
To your sister, thirty years
Different people, different aware
substitute Time for Maiden cares
I'm not so sure
I know
my heart
Depicting times all embrace my skin:
it's stony and hard and Earth-made Djinn
I've got no memories
on the
wall
But Time is for sure to know my heart:
it's gentle, it feels, and never parted ways with
me
again
For one thing for sure
you know my Heart
It's gentle, it reaps, it's torn apart
that you'd be the one I'd own and hold
the World right over now
Devil is me, and I am proud
For you are the answers in the Djinn
I've made some room for where I've been
For you are the only one that matters, matters
at all
For you are the only one that matters...matters
at
all.
Only, only. Just touch, let me love you
Let, let me. Where is your hidden life?
Oh, oh, where? I can not find it outside
I want you. As my sister, a perfect soul
Please, give your hand, heart, and drive
And cover me with love, against the down
Yes. Yes. Please, understand me. A devil
A devil mind, created by humans, in this life
Yeah, but I apologise, I love people, so you
A demon. I offer you my demonic life. Style
Be poison in my heart. Kill. My soul is life
Come, come and fill with your will. Our life
Give life, emotions, love, and heart. For dry
Understand my burning? Need water for life
My tears aren’t enough. Dried all at my past
Please, give your heart. I know you are hard
I want to feel. I am an ice. Give me radiation
Give, let me burn to die. I can’t live. A satan
But life was created for a saint. Hmm. Human
Just a mortal. A naive person. A changed life
Dead. Still waiting for the true life. The true
The truth. The True Love
The truth. Demonic love
Be love, chance, love
Love you
Love you
Be pain
Mine
Kill
Heart
Hot winds sweep over desert floor
on a dry lake, at Death Valley’s door
I walk the salty, white washed sand
feeling small in this searing land.
Herein lies Bad Water, hot and disheveled
a barren wilderness below sea level
near Furnace Creek, home of the devil.
Pioneers mined silver in this place
every breath, survival; after death, erased.
Dystopian shapes ripple and rise
skewing reality, hallucinatory surprise
caught within desert’s blistering heat
blurring the mountains in retreat.
I feel a crackling in my bones
I can hear past cries and moans
stark air penetrates my very being
my skin bakes in sun scorched steam.
Horizon spirit reigns from on high
breathing life into vast blue skies
cumulus clouds stand dominant and varied
now they turn stormy, dark and wary.
Layers of sand dunes rise like stiles
tall pyramids expand for miles
moving and drifting in waves and spires
lizards retreat from heat and exhale fire.
I leave my footprints on the dunes
passing sagebrush at high noon
shrinking shrubs will soon dry out
tumbleweeds will fly about
then blow away, just like me
into oblivion and feeling free.
Jesus is everyone who hangs on a tree
Jesus is everyone who sets us free
Jesus our everyone died in the place of me
Jesus our everyone fulfilled the law righteously
Jesus is everyone Who fulfilled, didn’t abrogate
Jesus is the everyone Who kept His first estate
Jesus our everyone rightly to be praised
Jesus our everyone with Him we are raised
Jesus is everyone the last Adam did prevail
Jesus is the everyone led captivity out of jail
Jesus our everyone foiled all assailed
Jesus our everyone withstood as the devil railed
Jesus is everyone Who counted it all joy, not loss
Jesus is everyone Who’s passion led to the cross
Jesus our everyone paid the price, counted the cost
Jesus our everyone came to redeem the lost
Jesus is everyone The Great I AM
Jesus is everyone The Sacrificial Lamb
Jesus our everyone in the thicket the Ram
Jesus our everyone He is both God and Man
Jesus is everyone Who intercedes for men
Jesus is everyone and Amen and Amen to The Amen
In the wild for forty days was a test.
As he hungered the devil did suggest
turning stones into bread
so that he could be fed.
“There's more to life than bread.” Jesus did stress.
Up at the top all the world could be seen.
“Its kingdoms could be yours and all between,
if me you would worship
you'd have a power trip.”
“Worship is for God, all else is obscene.”
From high on the temple, right at the lip,
“Throw yourself down for there's a scripture tip
that in angels' arms
you'll come to no harm.”
“Test not your God.” He gave Satan the slip.
Luke 4.1-13
There is a darkness to belong
There is a stranger to know
There are sins to be reborn
And there are dreams to enfold
Things weren’t always clear
Where feelings isn’t as always to be base
Creating things to term them dear
Yet where belongs my reality to face?
Strange and even stranger
Where a soul isn’t at all to own
Lost were moments since forever
Where is the stranger’s home?
Be it an angel, be it a devil
The good and bad are nevermore to choose
Only where guidance is shown to sparkle
Perhaps nothing more is ever to lose
Even darkness has a place to hide
Even a stranger has their sins
To never belong neither in day nor night
Where is of a stranger’s dream?
