Premium MemberOde To Summer's End

The swallow has gone,
Flown away, so has its mellow song
And so forth we go,
into bluer skies—indigo
Tempts drift further till tepid
Southern shades should not bid
Amid its alibi is incidence,
sun shrinks in appearance
Grayest shadows deepen
The first cool breezeway creeps in
Much warmth shall be ebbing,
heralding winter's woolen webbing
I count my blessings
of summer’s endings:
Abundance of sunshine so bright
Zephyrs on a tender August night
Book clubbing with best of friends,
Labor Day weekend marks summer’s end
As Summer ends Fall shall begin,
and what joyful gifts a winding wind
against glistening skin
Autumns kiss of this kind,
an earthly bliss entwined
And when the swallow returns,
no longer summer yearns
no longer summer yearns

       little piper, little piper
oh how fast you skip away
as the morning tide crawls in to taste the beach
briny swishes bring your breakfast
while you prance to greet the day
and they never seem to wet you
like you're privy to a chosen course of each

little piper, little piper
   such a ballet you perform
when you twirl and pirouette your dainty feet
       darting in-and-out the sea foam
just to keep them dry and warm
all with perfect form and motion
so as not to warn those little things you eat

       little piper, little piper
you're the bane of every clam
watching closely for their bubbles in the sand
oh, the hermit crabs are missing
 each-and-each now on the lam
and the hot sand gently hissing
as you try to sate your hungry chick's demand

little piper, little piper
all day long your work persists
as your tummy and your wee one both are fed
so with food enough to sleep on
      'midst the creeping twilight mists
   and as purple shadows deepen
comes the time to sing your little one to bed

little piper, now you dance in dreams ... instead.

Words to You

I have an innocent fellow in me,
I keep it hide from around me.
He has no mind but only a heart,
so pure, so delicate and innocent,
I need to keep it away from all,
world so wicked, intentions of devil.
He needs faith; He speaks the truth,
But around disguised in devil faith,
And You did a dangerous thing.
Assured him as you are his friend,
I opposed you doing so. Be away,
But you dig to deepen your way.
One day, he accepted your promise,
Now I am helpless one day you will hit,
Him hard, He will return to having a chit,
He will make my life full of despair,
Stress will surround him. I will care.

***

After sinking into oblivion
Only the fractured soul
Knows your sorrows
Your feeble hopes
Your fervent battles

When stepping outside yourself
You see a world so big
When alone
Everything is so small
Covered with a thick slice of darkness

In this inner chaos
You owe nothing but yourself
That once belonged
To his anxious dream
Now, a precious memory
That belongs only to you

Engulfing the past
Is not a life forward
Your mind sinks deeply
Into a fog of ageing sunsets
Filled with a sustainable pain
That never dies
And always bleeds
Till life becomes a walking shadow
Of what once you have been

You try a smile, a new make up
It is your social mimicry
Of delight and comfort
That doesn’t reinvent you

Your thoughts deepen
Your tears drown the pillow
 You still strive for love
 You hunger to be loved
But he is up in Heaven and
 His voice is silent

At the heart of this silence
 Is your soulful prayer
 For healing
That will give you new wings
 A new love desire
And the fragrance of a new life

Unglued

Every now and then
I wonder about you
If you're still feeling blue
And maybe need a friend?
I can't seem to send
A 'hi' or 'how are you'
Unsure how to continue
From our bitter end.
I can't just pretend
There isn't a grey hue
Lurking between us two
That time does deepen.
I know I messed up then
But can't I start anew?
After all we've been through
Let me try and amend.
You may think I'm a fiend
Who is fine without you
But ever since we unglued,
There remains in me, a dent.
I'm not trying to defend
My actions towards you
But admit I'm a coward who
Misses her best friend
And can't say it but only pen.

Listening To the Pelican's Affliction

What has brought him to this cheerful place?
Is it curiosity, hunger, or an escape from loneliness?
A mild wind from the East caresses the gleaming waves,
and he expresses jealousy with deliberate rage;
his small nest was destroyed by the wrathful storm of February,
vainly, he searched for it through the bushes of wild huckleberry.

The mid-spring sunrise is bright-golden and luminous:
similar to a brilliant sun that illuminates all in its path;
and yet the green-blue pelican ignores it and chooses
to mourn his loss, never hoping to find his little ones alive:
to survive in such a wilderness, any bird needs to strive
or die even when harmony invites to explore new skies.

It's Saturday morning, I'm strolling and singing
and perched on the Monterey Cypress stretching
its branches want to embrace him for solidarity,
would he accept or refuse the feeling of empathy?

Listening to the pelican's affliction is sensing total despair,
something I've felt and carried inside to deepen the wound
of a tragic event that provided no minimal healing whatsoever:
we were created differently from these fowls with thrilling sound.

There's ah rhythm to this
that's what I heard
a prefered way of doing it
that's what I heard
guess it aint that simple
Love is only a word
the cat's a little finicky
and the directions blurred
the chore of simplicity
my need to satisfy
a great deal of professionalism
that's the reason why
I can't eat if I
aint working gotta do my thing
got the birds ah chirping
let's hear them sing
There's ah rhythm to this
There's a kinda groove
get's my foot ah tapping

 From The Book;
" The Better Understanding"
written By: Ditty-DeWright
The Sound's of a Distorted man
To deepen understanding of love and marriage,
it's a story about a man needing help after finding that love and marriage were not
the prime directives of Church and the Church Community.
Someone gave him a wordless song to help respirt
 his then drained soul.
and Offfered him a ticket to a retreat were

Low flight that bends
The whorling sphere
In whistle-talk bounce-stops

Grass stains that streak
The dimpled-egg sitting white

March! March! On and on
Then climb the air-ladder
And peak in the blue

Slide! Slide! Down and down
The grade so swiftly weak

Impact flat, deepen, kick
And gently sit up
Arrogant
Free…

Again we meet and dimpled, smiling
You tease me openly to test
Your whistle-talk, marching, climbing
Sliding bounce-stop and the rest

Marriage

Two paths now one road,
Shared sun, shared storms, a soft hand,
Roots deepen, love grows.

Crashing Hour

You are my night owl
I am your morning breeze
That deepen your dormancy
My existence in your insensibility
Your presence never in my second
Our hour nevermore light on

Premium MemberSpindrift

Soaked by a spectacular spindrift,
liminal lingering leaves me locked up;
My eyes, a glass covered in sea salt;
Warm spray masquerades the rim.

Liminal lingering leaves me locked up,
waiting on tempestuous mavericks;
Warm spray masquerades the rim,
sprinkles intrude and steal the sip.

Waiting on tempestuous mavericks
to deepen this dance of distraction;
Sprinkles intrude and steal the sip
stifling the potency of chosen poison.

To deepen this dance of distraction
every wave is a wondrous swoosh;
Stifling the potency of chosen poison,
disguised as such intricate beauty.

Every wave is a wondrous swoosh;
My eyes, a glass covered in sea salt.
Disguised as such intricate beauty,
soaked by a spectacular spindrift.

The Weight of Your Silence

shattered your heart
something I never really dreamt of
deepen your scars
something I never really meant to happen
I wanted you to smile
and just look at me
but when you needed me
I burnt down your city
you never even smile
yet you never even became angrier
lack of emotions on your face
I still ponder, "how you feel?"

Cum virtus invenit Amor et Fides

Although I could count the petals of a flower
the tree of my great faith doesn't cease from sight
like a seed of hope always seems to foster,
the echoing call that wants a praying answer in the night.

As I venture into Summer's golden warmth,
expecting a wanderer to sift through my heart
like an old folk delve into his youth,
and a slight hurry to deepen for comfort.

The splashing river grasps within my soul
as if I would find my inner peace
to let go the pain and its faults
with the sun shining on my face.

Having a desire to transform my life
into a love that is sweet as a nut
as I touched God's hands I felt completely safe
with a flower of pure joy leads me to shout.

As I find myself feeling strong and blessed,
thanking God for yielding me to the tides of strength
like a little sprout had been sowed,
Cum virtus invenit Amor et Fides.
