JAZZ MAN
Lips of sweat,
Igniting catalyst tune as they burn,
Crossed eyes, attention spreads
feeling the whiteness in the pure magic
Each memo confronts the other,
Soul cord of depth,
and for one short-lived moment.
Losing sight of reality in a stasis of oasis.
The passionate barb sticks note directly into the atmosphere
Each message is a flood of scheme,
singing the blues, this smooth criminal
angel of birth, in your hands
luring you to a road in heaven.
The lights are all you feel;
you can see the forgotten masterpiece.
Bathing in it, as the drums go on,
the mob gathers, to feel the whiteness of the trumpet.
He is rotating his saxophone,
making love to the crowd.
His horn comes with words that deepen the soul,
the crowd is mesmerized.
He extends his hands,
A standing ovation,
Slamming and whistling,
Louder than thunder,
Mr. Jazz man is done
With no condom at all……………………….

Absolute Truth
What’s in a word that fades away in time?
Seldom heard like a masqueraded mime
What’s in a name that hides in the shadows?
Of feverous fame where poets compose
May we speak of love this echoing eternal bliss?
Be it weak in silence and deepen with a kiss
For love has many ships set sail to heaven’s shore
Thus never ready for what it has to explore
It changes faces right before our effervescent eyes
With its traces left behind admits the guilty guise
But love a constant the ethereal glue of the infinite
For in its content we know little of the magnificent
In its Omni purpose beyond our comprehension
There burns a furnace of emotions in each dimension
We think we know it all but there is much to learn
For within our fall we will always youthfully yearn
We are born out of love and defenseless desire
Mourning death with love amongst the angels' choir
Love the only absolute in the seasons of the abyss
For we are en route for the active soul to reminisce.
...dedicated to Heidi Sands for her Love and courage...plus constant support...

Come now, Spring! You’re such a fickle young thing!
On the wings of newborn feathers, your wiles
up and downturn winds to sudden cold flings
tripping warming skins to tremble a while…
Next come your silken color-filled fancies!
Eyes beckoned, step out to be near such charms…
Yens still, as you march as perfumed dandy,
masking musky breath, that breezes sneezed harm…
And when April comes along, your eye gleams!
Enchantment grows, then fades to slushy mush….
Becoming crystals, shatter in your steam
Oh how she weeps, for diamonds rained to slush!
Rivers gush your youth’s enthusiasm ~
Now, may you calm, ere you deepen chasms ~

A dull Christmas eve, still it was better than most.
I’d heard of winter and snow in places far away–
Of cold and frozen waters and rains that fall like powder from the sky–
Of words like mist, soft as a whispered kiss
Escaping from lips–red over a pale impression,
Muttering words of things of the faraway place.
I know not the feeling, only the idea of a place
And whatever feeling it evokes in me the most.
Of these foreign notions, I have not one but many an impression
Of wonder and adventure and ways to sail away
On wooden or metal monsters that beckon the sea its cheek to kiss
In the in-between world of salt water, wind and sky.
Not so here, no snow in this dry harmattan sky.
I’d rather for a change of pace, a change of place.
A place of apples and wine grapes and passions that deepen the kiss–
Of hopes and dreams and wishful thinking for most.
Come hopes! Come dreams! Come insane thoughts and take me away!–
Far away; and in my place leave no impression.
Rid it! On her alone, I made some impression
Of two on a low hill beneath a big grey sky.
Her eyes would haunt me screaming: “Why didn’t you take me, with you, away
To the place we had dreamed–the faraway place?”
Truth be told, she would prove really good–better than most.
Even so, rid me of it, with one final kiss.
A flickering flame snuffed out with a kiss;
Its dying breath trailing a wispy impression.
With that, I lost what it was I wanted the most;
Bartered for the image of a different sky.
Alas, a different time in a different place;
Yet to find a place to stay that doesn’t lead away.
Now, a seasoned drifter wandering away
With tales of wonder and adventure and many a departure kiss–
With yarns of many sights, yet yearning for only one place–
For the place I left, leaving no impression–
A place I must go only after I find the perfect sky.
It was a dull Christmas eve, still, it was better than most.
Now, in a place far away, making many an impression,
Oh, how I desire that kiss, under that same grey sky.
Despite the faraway place, it is what I want the most

I wish you knew the depth of knowledge gained
How instrumental are your thoughts to me
Through teaching what I’ve learned, I have been trained
To revel in my self-efficacy
Attention and retention play a part
To reproduce the model, I am keen
And motivation soars above the chart
When victory is felt and also seen
To read of you in books and realize
Your thoughts have left a mark that will abide
Like you to deepen learning is the prize,
I’m longing for, and I won’t be denied
Vicariously, I live within the realm
Where knowledge is a living entity
A place where greats like you stand at the helm
where life-long learning’s our identity
I had to pen these words, to let you see
That I admire all the things you’ve done
Your brilliantly well-thought out theory
Is why a place in hall of fame you’ve won

"HUNGRY GAMES"
"I can’t find the words I want to say! “
Under the moonbeam and sparkling scattered stardust,
I can feel the dew, which surpasses through the night.
As I speak to you in tongue, this stale flavor becomes overdone.
A taste of what is behind them luscious ludicrous lips.
I finally ask!
“Do you not feel what I feel?
Can you not feel my heart hesitating and holding hectically?
Addressed with attach anticipation on your side!
It is my hesitation, to answer with, “Please?”
The dwelling night disappears, underneath my deepen darken days,
In which makes every day, another night to come.
The wondering and whining worsens a little more.
I ache for seconds more, than my mind begins to mend.
The mornings keep approaching fast, the silences breaks!
Shattered scattered splattered words, finally released.
You start to nurture up around your notable noble nearsighted eyes.
For I have starved, just about all I can take.
Master of this crying slave…
“Your perception burns, the prescription, of persuasive deception.”
Your inacceptable improper intention cannot heal me now!
Leaving an awkward awareness feel, which lingers to the lustiness’, lost inside of me.
With a wallow with a swallow, soaping and spiting the sight of you.
Meanwhile your thoughts focus on the painful pulsating pleasure.
You will unleash on me…
For leaving all the crummy crumbling crumbs under our silver satin sheets.
I will be smacking and snaking surrendering and yielding, yearning at your will.

Alliteration
Born in New York of Italian descent,
From my childhood and beyond through the years,
Deep in my soul live the sounds of lament—
The drama of romance, fear, death and tears.
The power, the movements, fill up my soul
Like thunder that clashes in dark of night;
So vibrant and flowing, lost in the role,
I listen, to grasp each note with delight.
The voices, emotions strike at my heart,
I'm filled with a depth I cannot explain—
The beauty, the sadness in every part
Bring stories to life that stir inner pain.
Yes, opera I speak of—so part of me;
My favorites played again and again—
Puccini, Bizet and those of Verdi;
Of Tosca, Carmen, and best, La Boheme.
Each opera a drama of life and death—
The singers stir feelings with every word;
Strong voices mingle to deepen my breath.
Emotions rise with great arias heard.
Born in New York of Italian descent
With family that loved and nurtured this art;
Played records at home and many times went
To the Met where opera thrilled my heart.

I'm stuck in a puddle of mud,
unable to make a quick decision...
whom should I choose from among
others who have been so noble and kind?
More than a name comes to mind:
Linda, Carrie, Deborah, Catie, Rhoda, Danielle, Charmaine and Karen...
please don't be envious if I choose Carolyn!
You all are beautiful sweethearts, and I wouldn't sell you for a song!
After my day closes in, I check my soup mail...and there they are
those wonderful names flashing on my computer's screen,
and dazzling like precious gems in a crown! Many more should be
mentioned, highly praised and underlined with a marker:
Andrea, Emy, Joyce, Constance, Iolanda, Elaine, Laura and Carol.
One thing I can attest, nobody is greater than the other,
because they all have captured me as I have caught butterflies
with features so distinct and feminine as heroines of modern times!
Carolyn, be dazzled and feel proud, if not hysterically happy;
and if my choosing is fair, why should there be any contention,
or envy among them...I am pretty sure that they have secret admirers,
who in the same manner of awe and respect, constantly worship them!
Cheer up ladies, I have mentioned you all in my praise poem,
but only one gets this special rose...I hope they will send yours today!
I love you all as I love Carolyn for her honesty and graciousness,
then why don't you congratulate her and deepen your admiration?
My praise poem is dedicated to Carolyn Devonshire

Sunset like a cotton candy world full of color
fills the sky with mock representations
of the earth below.
Hills, valleys, rivers and fields in panoramic view
float above my head.
Clouds disapate and colors deepen
as the temptress of sunset takes flight
her time now spent.
Twilight whispers and seduces
as she brings on the blanket of night
with bed warm promises
till sunrise arrives with it's golden light.
Kash wrote a Thau-bauk called Twilight Her Name and through this poem he was my muse for this poem.
This is now part of a series of poems including Sunset Reverie, An Evening by The Lake,
Days End, A Night of Dreams and Tiny White Canoe

M Angel call L
When God calls little
children to dwell with
Him above,
We mortals sometime
question the wisdom of
His love.
No heartache compare with
the death of a small child
They make this world so
wonderful with Just a laugh
and their smile
All grieving words to Heaven
will tell all the loved ones
in his fold
The Dreams, Hopes & Wishes
for a child that won't
grow old
Close eyes, Clasp hands & Speak
words bespeak your belief
Then a metamorphic change
within you will deepen your
Faith and Belief
God knows how much we need them,
He takes but a few
To strengthen belief in the
Heaven that one day we
all will view
Believing this is difficult yet
somehow all of us must try,
The saddest word spoke on
this earth will always be
" Goodbye "
When a little child departs,
this earth, to those who
get left behind
Know God loves all the
children, but
" Little Angels "
are hard to find.

In the beginning my heart was breaking all the time Then I realized hearts don't really break at all They deepen with expeariance and grow rich on love And the greatest of these heart aches lives on In the haunted mannsion of my soul Where on any given day if I choose to look I know I'll find you there among the many memories that I love

little piper, little piper
oh how fast you skip away
as the morning tide crawls in to taste the beach -
briny swishes bring your breakfast
while you prance to greet the day
and they never seem to wet you
like you're privy to the chosen course of each ...
little piper, little piper
such a ballet you perform
when you twirl and pirouette your dainty feet -
darting in-and-out the sea foam
just to keep them dry and warm
all with perfect form and motion
so as not to warn those little things you eat ...
little piper, little piper
you're the bane of every clam
watching closely for their bubbles in the sand -
oh, the hermit crabs are missing -
each-and-each now on the lam
and the hot sand gently hissing
as you try to sate your hungry chick's demand ...
little piper, little piper
all day long your work persists
as your tummy and your wee one both are fed -
so with food enough to sleep on
'midst the creeping twilight mists
and as purple shadows deepen
comes the time to sing your little one to bed ...
little piper, now you dance in dreams ... instead.

The sunset blazes in vibrant colours,
Lighting the sky with crimson and orange.
As the evening draws closer, the colours deepen,
Becoming more beautiful as the sunset dies.
Such the same should be love,
Vibrant in our youth,
Washing over the world in splendor.
Deepening in our age,
Becoming more beautiful as we die.

Their hands raise with ours and for a moment we are all standing in perfect unity, every set of fingers curled in anger and defiance - and then they throw the tear gas.
Which is rich,
Because how many women have wept,
Sliding down their walls to their bedroom floor,
To their kitchen tiles,
To the post office pavement?
How many women have sobbed,
Clutching their daughter's body,
Trying to collect all of the broken pieces back into one person again,
The mother's tears, all of the nation's tears, spilling and seeping into the cracks of her skin
- how many more need to cry?
How much deeper does the blood have to scar the inside of her thighs,
Embed itself in newspaper ink,
Puddle and clot in the streets,
For you to see how the country is drowning?
How the river laps at our feet, our knees, up to her bruised wrists
Do you see your own fingertips dripping,
Or how his teeth are stained pink,
The iron on his breath a blunt tool he uses to deepen the crevices long carved into her?
No, of course, you do.
So what do you do about it?
Do you try to press your hands to the wound?
Hand him a life-sentence?
Or do you hand him a baton?
A badge?
Perhaps a can of teargas?

There’s a part of you
I cannot see or touch.
In the dark, alone, I know
every curve of your body.
I could sculpt you from memory.
Each detail vivid in
my mind’s eye.
The baby nail on your baby toe.
This neck that takes to kissing.
I know the moment when your
hip becomes belly.
Just there.
But there’s a part of you I
cannot see or touch. Hidden, I want to
know it all the more.
Behind your eyes, inside
your heart, that essential
you, separate from this
fragile tissue hanging, draped, over bone.
I watch you move when
you’re not looking.
Standing, your toes curling.
Twisting the end of your hair while thinking.
Asleep, I know your breathing.
You hold the morning cup like a chalice.
Little lines around your eyes deepen sometimes.
These things are pieces of a whole I ache to know.
This elephant leg obscured by sightless eyes can
be anything. Groping blindly toward
the totality of you, revealed in fits and starts.
This life of mine no longer turned inward.
Every day I have new discoveries to make.
