Her day is passed in sweet insouciance,
my own debilitated by this pain:
I lack all satisfaction: no disdain
is motivating her. No piercing glance,
no hurtful word, contemptuous, askance,
perturbs my consciousness. Against the grain,
she wounds me by her kindness. Grace’s stain
contributes to my woeful circumstance.
Some harshness on her part would help it end.
Without hostility, I’ll never mend.
Yet something drives me on, when things get tougher.
Through knowing her, I’ve learned of The Sublime,
Uniqueness in Normality, and I’m
reminded of love’s vigour, and can suffer.

Two worlds grip my heart --- the carnal and the divine. Faith* upholds my soul midst gratefulness to the Lord for redemption. Good health moves my body for reaching-out pursuits. Here am I praying for the strengthening of my physical and spiritual life, since dysfunction occurs if any of the two gets wearied or debilitated…
countenance does smile
eyes exude mirth of a babe
heart throbs with blest peace
worship brings revival surge
ministry impacts prevail
*Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Then
he used to get regular calls,
and hurry, carrying the shining me
on his sturdy shoulders.
Used me deftly,
and as I dug and filled,
I saw the inert relics rest
with the buried time terminated.
Now
senile, he carries debilitated
the burden of his time.
An old useless companion,
antique, I stand rusted in the attic.
In desolateness I deem he hears
the scraping of some other shovel new,
and waits for the final call.

Inner Child”
My inner child seems to appear when Im stunned by fear and my circumstances turn cold
Even though Im an adult shes still an infant incubated hidden deep inside my soul
When the weight of life pressure gets to heavy to bare
And my vigiliant eyes transform into blinded vision and Im no longer aware
When Im blindsided and hurt
When my love ones avert
The innocent child awakens with unrecognizable worth
Feeble, searching for any consoling outlet to divert
Her speech had froze when uncomfortability arose
When desecration debilitated our character
The spiritual nourishment of GOD was administered
Then exhilaration stimulated a fresh narrator
Shes just an ordinary ageless undeveloped child
And its been quite a while since Ive seen her smile
Camouflaged beneath my surface
Shes vicariously living through my skin for a purpose

Our love is botanical garden
where the trees have evanesced
The petals have wilted
The roots are debilitated
as if they were immune to growth
And the soil can barely shelter a seed
This is the landscape of the dead
Hope dies before it can grow
No season will stop this home from dying
What has withered will never return
I long for the time when this was our Eden
A place of peace and harmony
Yet I sit here in everlasting silence
appreciating the greatest dissonance of today

*Dedicated to my hubby. The reason I am who I am today and the reason I have been able to get through the last 2 years. Blessings, my love.*
debilitated was I when we met,
then you gave me a love I shan’t forget-
when rain cascades I shall show you kindness,
(ha) you shall give common sense when mindless;
I smirk, you sit; I etch your silhouette
for when I became yours, love I knew none,
then I felt your passion; hot as the sun-
youth brought you filled with much adoration,
for, love, I’m grateful for your creation;
and the best part is…we’ve only begun

How could I know that I could cast a life so complete?
Knowing now my past has lost everything, I’ve seen defeat.
Part of my life debilitated and taken down by the ocean's tow,
I pant in tiny seeds of loneliness, aligning up in pain’s forever row.
Root me inside the willows that wither inside of fields
of the soot that wallows without the craving a fight to yield.
This morn my throat swallows hope, feeling utter healing soon,
tonight, by Spallow's shore stardust descends, gazing at the moon.
Stanza 1
How, now, tow, row
Cast, past, part, pant
Stanza 2
Root, soot, soon, moon
Willows, wallows, swallows, Spallow's
I used 2 word morph words in each line, I hope it doesn't DQ me. I thought this was a very fun contest. Thank you!
"Spallow" is the name of a river by my home. It has the most beautiful shore.

I’ve been forsaken by the threshold
that renounces me from your arms-
Left barren in an azure existence that
we should be living together as one.
Only the few grains left in our indigo
hourglass can relieve this cruel fear.
It is midnight and I am surrounded
by abandonment as Orion and his
cobalt shield bestows the depth of
the black hole’s infinite darkness.
For the sky is falling and remorse is
calling us…
to ease our debilitated weaknesses.
So, I walk this sapphire universe facing
all the nothingness the gods offer - and -
I am indebted to you for this blue love.

TYRANNY
Self-centred narcissism -
Lying, cheating, stealing.
Uncaring interest only in money :
A monster all want to be rid of.
You can call it evil if you want, but it’s
Lurking inside ourselves; it’s part of us all because we’re all human.
Cutting the head off the snake urges it to grow another.
Yes, of course, this is idiocy personified.
What foolishness - debilitated by sex and money !
Yet these human traits are in me and you.
This idiocy is the evil seed in all of us.
Such an utterly bad purpose in life -
To cast doubt over the goodness of people
In the world inhabited by our children !
Even after the idiocy “goes” the world won’t be the same as it once was.
We have lost the feeling of permanency.
We have found there is no end to the misery and deceit of selfishness.

FANTASY WORLD
Awakened by the sound of bell,
Feeling debilitated of the night's Odyssey,
My surroundings appears to be Crimson,
I looked out of the window,
And the sun adored my little chamber, .....
Walking along the hallway,
Thinking of the day's duty,
Descending the building with my tools,
A Lad already set beside two horses,
We mounted on it and vanished swiftly,...
In the field,
After much wheat and barley packed,
I sat down to regain strength,
The lad feeding the horses,
The breeze doing it's work,
Till I found myself in another world,
"Morning my Lord "sounded the court chancellor,
I descended from my royal bed chamber,
And gently I was attended to,
Clothed in royal attire,
I walked towards the dance party hall,
Other kingdoms graced the party,
Sounds of drums,
Tunes of musical instruments filled the air,
Waists swaying to the tune of music,
A pretty princess extended her hand for a dance,
On holding her hand to the dance floor,
The Lad tapped me (time to go),
And I came back to reality,
We rode our horses back home,
And I smiled all the way home..

I am the son of the soil
The very black Afrika I am
My color is dark and lovely
It sings with rhythmic melody of beauty
Uniquely gifted, talented and black
Show me my debilitated and frailties
And I will improve beyond imagine
I am the son of the soil
Teach me how to dream about life
And will become extra-ordinary
Teach me character, teach me discipline
And I will become the footprint of history
I am the son of the soil
Give me a set of electronics and soft-wood
And I will build you a flying helicopter
Give me a library with a lot of books
And I will write thousand of poems
Give me a yard of land and a hoe
And I will turn it to a large garden full of all sorts of fruit
I am the son of the soil
I have been blessed by my progenitor from the Nile
For her wilderness quenches my spirit
And bring me closer to source of life

A Query With Fury
We were always a little leery,
Of people who query a theory;
For a while;
Facts compile;
Found to be done with great fury.
To cause they were seriously dedicated,
Until all of the parts had been decimated;
Became worn out,
Wondering about;
They did became completely debilitated.
We had fathers who were our founding
Scoring victory having been resounding;
After preserving,
Strength conserving;
Could run off curve if not carefully rounding.
Discovered difference between a professional
Compared to someone who is an intellectual;
Found disturbing;
Also unnerving;
When both run mouth off are ineffectual.
With many people we had consorted;
When things did become badly distorted;
Project concerned;
To complete yearned;
And mission we had must be aborted.
When he is near us in our proximity,
With hands on ends of each extremity;
Appeared agitated;
Even with unrelated;
While doing had been done vehemently.
What some people do is try to devour,
Through each and every minute and hour,
Bore us to death,
With bad breath;
Always perform by exerting their power.
