Spallow's Shore Shows Her Grace
How could I know that I could cast a life so complete?
Knowing now my past has lost everything, I’ve seen defeat.
Part of my life debilitated and taken down by the ocean's tow,
I pant in tiny seeds of loneliness, aligning up in pain’s forever row.
Root me inside the willows that wither inside of fields
of the soot that wallows without the craving a fight to yield.
This morn my throat swallows hope, feeling utter healing soon,
tonight, by Spallow's shore stardust descends, gazing at the moon.
Stanza 1
How, now, tow, row
Cast, past, part, pant
Stanza 2
Root, soot, soon, moon
Willows, wallows, swallows, Spallow's
I used 2 word morph words in each line, I hope it doesn't DQ me. I thought this was a very fun contest. Thank you!
"Spallow" is the name of a river by my home. It has the most beautiful shore.
