Crafty Ole Green Trout
Hides in that deep hidey-hole.
My fly is tempting.
He’d stay for a minute and watch the sun. Then disappear like the wind… and then there was none!
He’d follow my footsteps in the snow.
He’d watch me off to work in the car go.
He’d be around at breakfast and tea time and would always get fed.
He’d patrol n the nighttime when we were in bed.
He’d come in out of the rain , warm up and have a kip then be out again!
He’d walk high the fence line to see what was ‘his’!
He’d roll around in the sun on the grass until he got himself into a tiz!
The morning deck, the afternoon deck, the greenhouse and the borders were all good for a kip.
He’d be back even after I’d taken him home.
He’s got his ‘stations’ all round the close!
He knows which way the wind does blow.
That crafty little feline friend of mine. The neighbour’s cat that lives in our garden.
my quill found its soul
it danced on the parchment floor ~
all six sensed its life
... I sense a sharing
one of sincere gratitude ~
gift lift ~ spills my soul
I live when faced down
craft flows a course on parched reeds ~
ink spots ... your presence
Crafty Christine has a magical way with a sewing machine
She is also great with crafts, she may be the queen
She puts things together in a fun, fine way.
Recipients of her gifts say “hip hip hooray!”
She can take old denim and make aprons that glow.
With hems of silver, they put on a fine show.
Her quilts are amazing, better than any we’ve seen.
Crafty Christine is the queen, yes, she is the queen!
Her concoctions and designs are legends around here.
We stand back, amazed, said her neighbors dear.
She can take a backyard and turn it into a park fit for a queen.
We are all impressed by our clever, crafty Christine.
Poetry is so very special
it has such an illuminating effect
grabbing one's heart so clear
inspiring one to fully select
It's craft leaves many options
indeed one can adopt various styles
so much scope to experiment
for the pen to flow many a mile
I write for the purpose of calm
leaving all my anxieties behind
becoming very therapeutic inwardly
makes my inner soul feel so kind
Poetry is absolutely an art
portraying one's skill to the full
using all of the English language
to explain all your mind tools
I absolutely love to rhyme
it has a magic of its own
having such inspiration and joy
brings real beauty out of my stone!
The house cat unlatched the cage door;
Squeezed in to then find he's done for.
A quick turn-about
Canary flew out!
Cat's stuck, and bird's free to explore!
By many aliases they're known:
Crawfish, crawdads, mudbugs, yabbies.
They abound in brooks, and streams, and swamps,
As well as roadside ditches and rice paddies.
Their astacology has shown
They prey like scavengers and mobsters,
While some, more taxonomically aloof,
Try hard to pass as mountain lobsters.
Throughout the world as food they're meant,
Both from the wild and from the grocer,
But not as a substitute for meat at Lent
Because they're not considered kosher.
And so the cunning, craven crayfish,
The ones that didn't get away,
End up in boils, or bisques, or soups,
If not served up as étouffés
In swanky overpriced cafés.
The leprechaun was crafty and cold
When it came to hiding his gold
But another watch to see
He was as crafty, as he
The gold was stole, and the man turned old
A bulldog, spaniel and terrier played a game of pool.
Relieving me of my money and kibble. I felt like a fool.
They saw my T-bone and started to be salivating a drool.
I offered to trade them for the kibble, trick kind of cruel.
The T-bone had been enchanted by a devilish ghoul.
Never trust a Maine coon cat is a very good dog rule.
There is a cycle, that we all are riding
it gets bigger and bigger, with all humans spinning
Those who are crafty, will start on the climbing
and let all the others, do all the grinding
Downtown there once was a crafty lawyer
Egged his clients to be straight-faced liar
Facing the judge they fumbled
Grilled, façade of lies crumbled
He lost all cases, made money each year.

Yesterday, I was told by a crafty fortuneteller,
That I will not have sex for two years in the row.
I immediately proved, right there on her table,
That she was completely, in this matter, wrong!
A Crafty invitation
Cut him open, just go nuts
Reach inside and pull out his guts
Cut out his eyes, cut out his nose
Work your way down as you go
Use a little ingenuity
And cut him good for all to see
Don’t be afraid to make a mess
Join the pumpkin carving contest
There was a lady who lived in a Shoe,
A very stylish Shoe to be admired.
Decorated in style, every convenience
thought of,
And nothing else could fit.
Down the stairway, under the bed,
Shoes of all sorts and colors and styles!
Besides the Rainbow, add copper, silver and gold!
Pretty feet, a Pedicure every two weeks.
But the lady who still lives in that Shoe,
Is now craftily handled and exposed to all!
Some count down and remove to leave,
What they believe would be all she now
needs.
But the Lord looks down upon goodness,
And many are surprised at the Hezikia
extension,
A repayment for the SERVICE she willingly
rendered,
In rain, snow, sleet, helping in the affliction
of others.
