Turning to merge with the happy
herd,
I heard clinking against frosty
glass --
Ladyfingers escaping tiramisu,
Followed by creamy swirls of
Chocolate mousse --
And beckoned to their shelf, I
asked
If they desired of me to have a
word.
A dolce chorus of confections
confessed
How to my hips they wished to
bestow
Love handles destined to be
caressed
Through the streets of the Feast
Of San Gennaro.

Ye in creation
Does thou thinkers
Me
The flowers
and confections
How does one
Wish me to
Be
Ye in consideration
Perfumed
Does one wish
to improve thy
Luck
To have in
this position
To kiss and
Embrace me
And such
Music of the
Evening
The wines which taste
So sweet

Oh what joy my grandchildren deploy.
Hugs, giggles and kisses,
They are my untold riches.
Curious questions and sweet confections,
Grandma, what is that bird in the tree?
Do you have more candy for me?

Thoughts in my mind like rolling clouds in the sky finding new ways to flirt
Far off confections that bring forth questions of truth, love, and even hurt
Discovering new methods of sensuality, never stopping or thinking to subvert
Swirling together in beautiful destruction without forcing one another to convert
Disappearing beyond the horizon, seldom catastrophic, but also rarely inert
On the days when I'm not in your presence, how is it my thoughts of you do not divert

Kidnapped
I plan to kidnap you~though you
are a fully grown man.
I hold for you, a bag of sweets…
My heart's sweetest confections
and then...
Get you into my car and into a dark,
thick forest.
There, my deepest love...
To please you to the fullest.
So you just can't leave me.
Beyond any measure, my dearest
love treasure.
In the woods, near a sparling stream,
Timeless,we can settle and dream
And at night lie under the stars
Serene…under God's azure love blanket.

My cousin and I were dismayed
By the kids who were in her third grade
They had no answers to tell
Though they spoke very well
And knew how impressions were made!
They earned an A+ for endurance
For displaying remarkable effluence
They could babble all night
With no fact in sight
Nor any sign of congruence!
Oh, how wise we thought that we were
We could see their minds were a blur!
But now, mid-elections
And selfie confections
We see why they were so sure.

Please speak to me of love in gentle tone,
That I may recall her voice in your inflections
Never were her words shrill or monotone,
But sweet like honey-frosted confections,
She spoke to me with love and sincerity
In phrases coming from her introspections.
She and I conversed in contented solidarity
I so miss those times of sharing intentions,
When together we searched for our verity.
And, sometimes, we cast aside conventions
Speaking in intimate terms only we knew
We were our sole-partnered redemptions.
Once again I yearn to hear her words so true.

Oh citrus, my mistress
Exquisite, delicious
Appealing, revealing
No zestier feeling
Acidic confections
Ascerbic dilections
So tangy, so tasty
The tart in a pastry
A scurvy elixir
A fine tonic mixer
Nutritious, sumptuous
Mouth-watering, scrumptious
Exquisite, delicious
Oh citrus, my mistress

I don't think it is a McWhirtle, probably iambic trimeter? Dunno.

Our love is like a Baskin Robbins store,
These years with you, with flavors, each their own.
The carton's deep, Lord willing, there is more;
My taste for thy confections, sweet has grown.
Rum Raisin, sour, wrinkled, in a rut,
A scoop of Rocky Road, or maybe three.
Pistachio and almonds when life's nuts
And lemon, bitter, thankfully set free.
Sometimes vanilla might describe us best,
Or peach, the warmth and freshness of our youth.
Of late it seems one stands above the rest,
Yes, Cookie Dough as we grow long of tooth.
Though none of these are ones I would forsake,
Right now ’tis truly Icing on the Cake.

A photocopier without toner
Sometimes becomes an office loaner
I was no exception
So I sold confections
Becoming invaluable to my owner.

Christmas crazies conjure confections in candy kisses.
Wee whimsical winter warlock wistfully wishes
Dreamy darling dolly deliberately does dishes,
Fluidly forever fixing finest fluorescent fishes.
Seasoned sassiness scoring subtly in swishes.
Christmas crazies conjure confections in candy kisses.

Candy cane collector cooks confections
Accepting others' ideas with affections
Revising and rewriting recipes regularly
Creating candy concoctions creatively
He is our baker the neighborhood said
All the December candy he made in red
March candies were green clover shaped
Super hero cookies were aptly caped
What started out as a Christmas thing
Ended up as a profession with extra zing
