It's where I currently dwell
I hate tax season

THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH
‘Twas ten virgins of willing heart
That went with joy and merry soul
To meet the groom with loving mirth
That the union will make them whole
But behold they were torn in twain
A part thereof was meshed in sloth
While the other set for the rain
So in due time they shall move forth
Now these twin parts do here allude
The minds of mankind in this world;
While part in vanity abide
The other in Spirit are walled
And so when the trumpet did sound
The one in sloth abide strayed yet
They in Spirit holding their ground
Answered the call of the trumpet.

His evil malicious taunting's
Lucifer shifts minions and demons;
Spiting on the womb of the bride;
Embracing her soul windows closed;
The bride groom cometh
Tried and tied in the knots of life;
Desperately seeking wife's;
Separate the rooms, implant shame doom;
Body count concludes;
The head is separated from the main;
The bride groom cometh
The fam is distain;
Calculated divisions;
The bride groom cometh
Dirty broken windows cleanse with maple-syrup;
While little girls still play patty-cake and jump rope;
I can't wait for the Husband of the Church to come;
I can't wait for the parting of the skies;
The bride groom cometh
Catfishing dirty dishes mouths spitting;
Mixed decisions--
I can't wait to see with mine spiritual eyes;
The bride groom comes, The bride groom cometh

From out of the shadows into the light
Distance brought closer
The name that only one gets in honor
Houndman Cometh
How did I arrive at that name you ask?
It came directly from the Greyhound Bus Organization
It was the bus company’s creation
My involvement in the Greyhound ways than to now
The thought back oh wow
My Greyhound bus arrival with flair
The commitment with care
No joke
Devotion of Greyhound in positive words I spoke
Houndman being the honor
Cometh in continuing arriving
The love for the Grayhound Trademark Dog
The stretch and reach being no bones about it
Houndman Cometh has become part of me
It shines for all the world to see
Houndman Cometh now and beyond
Greyhound will always have me to look upon
Houndman Cometh more than just a name
I am the Greyhound bus bull’s eye that will always remain.

Heavenly Master, mirror-less races ...,
fat, thin, tall, short, friend, foe--didn't you know?
Soul choose sin--soulless|soul forgive saves--us.
Saved souls Heaven bound|ground zero soulless,
selves/reborn, lame bod/mind--restored, UP ... GO!
Heavenly Master, mirror-less races ...,
Scriptures were Written, contemps..., made lawless.
Man can't deny soul's Heaven? God said so!
Soul choose sin--soulless|soul forgive saves--us.
God needs 12 votes, could pass? Ridiculous!
West--still Wild! Protestant? Not sure. Tarot???
Heavenly Master, mirror-less races ...,
The East ... not Orthodox! Cause their name says?
Andromeda's next, come on let's go ... NO!
Soul choose sin--soulless|soul forgive saves--us.
We know the outcome, the show is for us,
Gabriel. Michael ..., he waits ... the last show ...,
Soul choose sin--soulless|soul forgive saves--us.
Heavenly Master, mirror-less races ...,

Sally made silly jewelry,
with seashells from the seashore
She put an ad on Facebook,
to advertise her brand-new store.
When she sold all that she had,
the people still wanted more.
She went to the bank to get a loan,
to buy more than she had before.
Then some men in blue suits,
came knocking on her door.
Said pay us for back taxes,
or you can’t sell,
your seashells,
anymore.

WINTER COMETH
winter is summoned as November quietly dies

Creaking, cracking, booming…
You hear the sounds before the bridge,
mountain quiet amplifies it,
step out on the old iron truss,
and a mess unfolds before you.
Creeping, slipping, shearing…
Long breaks in what was once smooth glass,
seams by the shore where current came,
set the center moving slowly,
broken ribbon slowly pushing.
Grinding, pressing, crushing…
Like slow-motion catastrophe,
chunks shift and jostle as they move,
strike rocks on bars, break down small trees,
smears on the ice, stained by debris.
Pressing, straining, slashing…
Ice so blue it’s almost glacial,
piles up on curves and pillars,
jams the path, water bubbles up,
sends swells racing across the ice.
Chugging, seeking, streaming…
Picks up speed as it heads southwards,
to the big rivers waiting there,
the parks down by the shoreline will
soon be buried under the crush.

“Your cone's so thick, can I have a lick?”
(Bill, surprised, dropped his wad on the brick!)
Not any vanilla,
nary a scintilla,
did poor Susie’s sweet tongue get to flick.

Behold & beware…
green comet
sails through
cadaverous darkness
on its journey through
Sol’s neighborhood
Gaia’s parasites
blink at
the luminous
icy rock
(they are
pummeled by
shocking storms
& plagued with stormy
delusions)
It’s official:
humankind is
on the glowing rocks
(obviously a major malfunction)
dodging more shoes
dropping like conspiring flies
out of a corrosive sky
caught between interstellar cigars
& hard places
as the gods play dice
with entangled eons
Aargh & Yikes!
rumbles a horrified poet
seeking & evading
The Good, The Bad &
The Ultimate
in celestial entrails
within fields of nightmares
blindsided by
diseased deities
bearing apocalyptic gifts
blinded by
tormenting tardigrades
waiting for the last laugh
Indeed
it is exhausting
to escape event horizons
& evade Martian ironists
posing as poisoned
dust devils
howling coldly
growling boldy

His knees shake, he's feeling weak
His hands tremble and he cannot speak
He got an email early afternoon
It's tax time again - it's much too soon
His accountant queries things long past
But his filing system is not up to task
Bits of paper cover the floor
As he prints reports by the score
He can't remember, his mind won't budge
What he's declared and what he's fudged
IRD is breathing down his neck
Wanting answers now - he is a wreck!
Interest is charged, he is aghast
Late paid penalties are mounting fast
A refund due would be as nice as pie
But it's more likely pigs can fly
Complex tax rules blow his mind....
It's a bloody stressful taxing time

Along street’s he’s casing, unseen in control
Sickles and Scythes, double edged swords
One hooks the young, other catches the old
And for winding up days, gets a tidy reward
Not diamonds or rubies, platinum nor gold
But fruits, and candies, his Halloween hoard

Impossible mission to uncouple accountability,
(no matter minuscule - veritable drop within
figurative bucket when quantity contrasted/
compared alongside industrial waste courtesy
major corporations), yet helplessness prevails
survival (mine) inextricably bound trappings
twenty first century allow, enable, and provide
exploiting even dollop so called nonrenewable
resources, I could sacrifice corporeal entity -
body, mind and spirit within eyeblink exhales
last breath before becoming repurposed - inert
cremated ashes randomly scattered across all
points encompassing terrestrial world wide web.
Obituary -
Despite havoc primate species did wreak
from the afterlife I figuratively speak
and applaud millennials whose peak
performance accorded courtesy
your token "aged hippie,"
mild mannered and meek
and long haired pencil necked geek,
whose disembodied spirit
now volunteers as Halloween sideshow freak
incorporating gallows humor tongue in cheek.

Bare winter trees begin to grow;
driving around, I watch nature's show.
shafts of light among taller, barren trunks
dogwoods blossom, a herald
as the woods come to life
Raindrops chase raindrops by design
and April beckons a flash flood.
The muddy streams now fill their banks,
daffodils and Bradford pears bud.
bird nests sporting eggs
yards gussied up for Easter
resurrection nears

“Love is an ideal thing, marriage a real thing;
a confusion of the real with the ideal never goes unpunished.”
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Gathering my wits once
I did ask Lady Love,
Who art thou?
Into what realm doth thou dwelleth?
Love declared…
I belong nowhere,
Like a wandering nomad
I traverse the land,
Like a passing breeze
I ruffle the curtains of your heart,
Like a whiff of fragrance
I entice your spirit,
Like an elusive wreath of smoke,
Now I am here,
Now I am gone.
I walk softly
Leaving no trace
Stirring no dust,
Like your thoughts
Like your dreams
I sneak upon you unseen.
I touch so gently
None aware that I care,
I hush thru time,
thru beings, thru things,
Like air, like sunshine, like water,
I nourish, I nurture
So precious -- yet ignored.
I speak the language of the land
I observe their customs
I reinforce their faith,
I sit with the prince
and befriendeth the pauper.
When I am around
There’s peace and harmony,
When I desert
There’s darkness and death.
