Calm, clear blue water
Fishing boat in the sunset
Mirror the sky.

Sea

Samuel saw her screaming for help in the sea.
Esta failed to save her friend  who was drowning
And some people could make fun of the victims.

Two brave men by  the seashore  jumped Into the sea
to rescue them, as they were in the harzardous
zone  of  sharks and some dangerous reptiles.
They succeeded to bring  them to the  seaside
and managed to organize some hot coffee
and tea for them in few minutes.

Esta and her friend thanked Samuel and his friend
for assisting them when some other people wished
their death into clear blue water.
Their friendships turned into love after some weeks.
Samuel came to love Esta so much and they decided
to live togather as wife and husband.

So their  parents met to discuss about the dowry.
Everything was concluded according to their culture
and traditions,  then they married traditionally.
so their dream of living together fulfilled.
A year later , they got a male child and named
him" Remembrance."
To express how he got a wife of his choice
through assisting some desperate women in the Sea.

The Heron

Alighting on the blue waters of the lake
The bird looked around before its take
A wonderful harmony of sunset sky
A shoal of little black fish

..... A colourful dragonfly did pass
Upon the clear blue water like glass
            Observing the splendid trio of
   ...........beauty life and colour
The bird lifted its head in a song
...... while the dragonfly flew along
              .tis life such.as this
 ....... must we but miss.

Umngot :: Sonnetina Due

At Dawaki a natural wonder
a beautiful azure river splendour.
Named as ‘Umngot’, Transparent, crystal clear
like an emerald coloured serpent sheer
from the hills dividing the Khasi Hills
from the gigantic Jainitia Hills.
Lies in the great hills of Meghalaya;
the "Abode of the Clouds" of India,
When seen from distance, water is so clear
it appears boat is floating in mid-air.
~x~

Note:: The water in this river yet unpolluted, river is so crystal clear and transparent. As if the boat is floating in thin air. Natural wonder of Meghalaya State of India lies at Dawki, which is known for its crystal clear blue water of the Umngot river, and possibly India’s cleanest river.

On the hill, high in the sky
I sit and survey all by my side
The fields, the trees, the landscape as far as I can see
It's a wonderous site, stretched out in front of me

The wind whistles it's quiet gentle song
Listen carefully the trees are humming along
Now the birds have even joined the throng

The sun's yellow rays touching every thing in sight
Warming the earth till dusk then night

The clouds in the sky glistening silvery grey
All moving gracefully as they go on their way

The sheep grazing on the lush green grass
Looking up as they they walk past

The clear blue water rushing quickly by
Going to the sea where it can lie

This beautiful tranquil picture I can see
In my memory it will always be.

WHAT A REFRESHING SIGHT !

Once, I went to a mountaintop lake
To invigorate my worn out self,
In tranquility, my eyes did take
    Lovely pics of the watery shelf;

The colourful fish donned their shimmer
With multihued scales of smooth veneer,
My heart was sated by their glimmer,
     As clear blue water mirrored my cheer;

Rejuvenated by the verdure,
I sat drinking in the treetop view,
Never had I seen beauty so pure,
     Where everything was blazing anew;

Enthralled, I listened in the silence
To those whispering sounds of nature,
Whistling rustles confirmed God's presence,
His art imprinted on each feature.

The Beauty of Mountaintop Lake

The Prussian clear blue water exaggerates my observation,
the reverie lingers with an ebb flow of nature’s sounds-
I feel at ease when gazing at this beautiful God-given creation
of the majestic Mountaintop Lake, its elegance resounds.

The colorful fish wearing pink, yellow and purple hues,
at the shore, the pebbles surface the tide like romance-
Sitting on top of our cabana I get a marvelous treetop view,
my heart sings, as my soul is lifted in dulcet dance.

The top of the mount is blanketed in melting snow,
the altitude is so high it always leaves a slight chill-
As I watch the children playing hide-and-seek below,
I inhale the spring breeze and my heart lays still.

Mother Nature holds such grace when I glare in awe,
she reveals her desire to bring harmony and peace-
When I remember all the years here there’s not one flaw,
And as I grow older my passion for this lake does increase.

Early morning first light, sneaking through
a wandering gaze out onto a sea of fog.
A cool and glorious mountain tree top view
away from the city traffic and smog.

Beneath the breeze's hands, nature is dining,
sipping the morning sunshine wine,
rambling through the lush green, alluring
woodlands. Clutching moss shrouds the pine
softening the sounds of nature.

Life savoring and nurturing the crystal clear blue water that flow
through rocks to appease the colorful fish. That feature
the thought of enchantment where your heart does go.

Sacred Lake Titicaca

Sacred Lake Titicaca

High atop the Andes, between Bolivia and Peru,
sits the birthplace of the Incas, sacred Lake Titicaca.
A powerhouse of nature through and through,
it was created by the Inca god of the lake, Viracocha.

A treetop view showcases unique flora and fauna that abound,
from llamas to fresh water snails dozing in the sun;
rainbow trout and other colorful fish are found
as sunlight reflects golden on the lake’s horizon.

Flocks of snowy egrets among the rare totora reed
share this natural habitat with slate-gray Andean coots,
snowy egrets, and white-tufted grebes diving for feed,
while parrots scratch their heads perched on mangrove roots.

Sounds of nature overcome the silence of twilight,
as huge water frogs on lily pads croak their lullabies.
The black-crowned night heron forages in the dying light,
and gloomy catfish float underground for a tasty prize.

Incas believed that when their time on earth was done,
the mystical clear blue water was a portal to the stars,
and into the depths of Titicaca, their spirits would return,
to reunite with their gods and venerable ancestors.

Premium Member Secret Lake

Lying where songbirds have a treetop view
of clear blue water near a rocky trail,
Secret Lake is not so hard to get to
nor very secret, for folks know it well!

Where colorful fish are swimming, this lake
is popular in summer, and such cool
refreshment is its water that people make
the hike in droves to this gigantic pool.

Nearby are wild flowers, bright and yellow,
and other scenic views you’ll see around.
It’s a place to picnic and feel mellow.
Sounds of nature and tranquilness abound.

Waiting for some bread crumbs, and on the loose,
are ducks, but if you are adventurous,
walk all around the lake. Perhaps a moose
you’ll spot! Your time there will be marvelous!

Mountaintop Lake

Whole night snow fell in the mountains

Surrounding the blue oval lake

Downhill sang the gurgling fountains

In our window mystic snowflake

At morning the coloured fishes

Look at coloured birds on tree tops

Both after their golden wishes

Merry morning in their love drops

Clear blue water in the cool sun

All around the snow laden peaks

Love and peace look from the lemon

Many a word the dimples speaks

The lake perches within the hills

Shadows in a snowy whisper

With pines around us we stand still

Summer flows into the winter

It is the story of our life

The wheel turns from ice to warm sun

And then to cool snow from the strife

Glisten the flakes on your hair bun

Dusk descends on the sun soaked lake

At the end of lyrics of breeze

Our eyes moved to where stars awake

And moon draws shadows of the trees

Then the lake in contemplation

Of apple leaves rustling in air

Inhaling the meditation

We are in a lake like prayer

Tranquil Waters

Tranquil Waters

Steady goes the stream of pure tranquility
Clear blue water rushes over smooth polished rock
The landscape is so green near this water of fertility
To this mountain lake nature's Beings tend to flock

All the sounds of nature make it so peaceful here
Admiring from above this breath taking treetop view
The frigid waters look so very pure and clear
Dazzling with its very own enriched color of blue

The wind is dead calm stirring no ripples in the glass
Watching the colorful fish in their under water dance
Blue ones, pink ones, red sunfish, trout, and bass
All together in this classical mountain top lake romance

The sound here is so silent exemplifying the word peace
A world full of panic never touches the beauty of this lake
Here there is no need for armies, government, or police
It is so sad the things for granted we as humans do take

EMERALD LAKE

I believe you want to wade in clear blue water,
But the Yukon presents a treetop view,
Of a lovely lake, emerald son, not daughter.
I was a traveler from the East Coast, one of few,

Who freely strode a horse around this paradise -
A two hour jaunt with my grinning spouse.
And if i could do it again, i’d pay a greater price,
Fly across this pioneer’s land, leave my sturdy house.

Are their colorful fish hibernating from the Yukon’s cold,
or dull - like pike or pink salmon? What does one beg
in this intense and bold, blue and green lake of gold?
I’d rather prance my high horse then search its dreg.

Lovely sounds of nature, broken by growls of grizzly bears.
Even the cliff’s crag, that shares its features - I am amused.
Yukon spirit with pure mountain air lifts away personal cares.
All of this paradise, sadly left, yet - into Alaska, we cruised.

The cable car proceeds, its old motif
on slender wire eyed by waiting queue -
So much it seems depends on thin belief -
We flew upon anonymous review.

Its window panes were dotted with the prints
that algid fingers left on hardened glass -
a fleeting mark of those who cared to call,
Then wiped away for tourists yet to pass.

The sight - ineffable to say the least.
So beautiful that if you were to fall,
You'd only wish you had more time to feast
on vision, catch the magic of it all.

On blue-green ice like paper they were grown -
A hundred shards of crystalline along
the clear blue water, glamour of its own
reflecting cattle herd it lay among.

And at the centre of this paradise,
No sight but this could make me look away.
She stood on mountain's edge with dazzled eyes
that showed no sign of labour everyday.

It's what you need that takes you far from home,
And till you find it, midst existence roam

There she belonged on top of the world - my mother
Standing apart, a star in the skies like no other.

Mountaintop Lake

The Treetop view is new
Animals and colorful fish
Looking youthful like you
Full of life aspire to wish
The treetops show different heights
Splish splash is the sound of water
Clear blue water as clear as light
Making mismatched matter
Chirp Chirp warms my heart
Ready to have something beautiful
The Sound of new life riding the Bart
It'll be for a new world so musical
