On the hill

On the hill, high in the sky
I sit and survey all by my side
The fields, the trees, the landscape as far as I can see
It's a wonderous site, stretched out in front of me

The wind whistles it's quiet gentle song
Listen carefully the trees are humming along
Now the birds have even joined the throng

The sun's rays touching every thing in sight
Warming the earth till dusk then night

The clouds in the sky glistening silvery grey
All moving gracefully as they go on their way

The sheep grazing on the grass
Looking up as they they walk past

Water rushing quickly by
Going to the sea where it can lie

This beautiful picture I can see
In my memory it will always be.
