Bloggers PhotoTHE DYSLEXIC POET I live in the uk and was born in the mid 70's Being Dyslexic has had it's challenges and being raised and going to school at a time when Dyslexia was not well known or understood, posed many issues with education. However being lucky enough to have determined parents, I eventually went to a school that researched and developed techniques to help individuals with Dyslexia. I enjoyed english lessons and was fortunate enough to have a wonderful teacher that took the time to nurture my talents and encouraged my reading and writing. I have a passion for creativity and all the arts and I have been writing poetry for a number of years now, mostly just for fun and enjoy reading it too. I have written and performed poetry on a number of occasions for weddings and funerals. I've also had four poems published in (PS: it's poetry and PS: It's still poetry anthologies) 'Well worth a read by the way' Something I've learnt in life, is to never let a disability get the better of you. It just means you have to work a little harder at things sometimes and seek out the talents and natural abilities you're born with. I am not a great scholar and never will be, my writings may be simple, but the meanings are hopefully provacative, deep and thought provoking. I am an artist of language, painting pictures with my words and encapsulating the emotions of our time.
