Sand, sun, ocean breeze, clear blue water at my knees,
Exotic places, smiling faces, little kids are running bases,
Ice cream sundaes, laid-back Monday's,
Laughing aloud without a care, chlorine dripping from my hair,
Riding bikes at the park, staying out until after dark.
Summertime.
a pig in the mud,
is so unlike a rosebud.
A chicken in the coop,
hanging around their group.
Cows grazing in the pasture,
in the house sits the rancher.
Clear blue water in the pond,
sitting there I spot a beautiful swan.
Sun going down in the west,
think I'll go in the house and get some rest.
I’d rather be found,
on top a mountain
to see a landscape,
no artist could paint.
I'd rather be seen
in clear blue water,
warmed by the equator,
no pool can imitate.
I want to sail oceans,
me against Poseidon.
to fly like Icarus,
and sore into the blue.
But I am Tantalus,
trapped by my own chains,
my wings are burning,
and I drown.
The salty taste of water,
The rise and fall of the tide,
The clear blue water waving,
And crashing into sand,
I see the sun smiling upon it,
I see the life within it,
And wonder what mysteries it holds,
I see the calm skies,
And the blue waters glistening,
I smell the salt in the air,
I hear the birds,
And laughter of the people,
I see this all so clearly,
If only for a day.
The Treetop view is new
Animals and colorful fish
Looking youthful like you
Full of life aspire to wish
The treetops show different heights
Splish splash is the sound of water
Clear blue water as clear as light
Making mismatched matter
Chirp Chirp warms my heart
Ready to have something beautiful
The Sound of new life riding the Bart
It'll be for a new world so musical
