Premium MemberLove's Simplicity

Old wisdom runs deep
Like rivers through our bodies
Heart speaks what mind knows

Blood carries stories forward
Through time's gentle flow

Love flows in our veins
Like songs sung by our parents
Nature keeps its course

What we learn in quiet labs
Hearts knew all along

Joy dances inside
Breaking walls we build so high
Love proves its strength

Each small part tells bigger tales
Of hearts growing close

Minds light up like stars
When we share each other's joy
Friends grow strong as one

Learning shows us day by day
How hearts learn to dance

Old paths glow like dawn
In minds that remember love
Finding the way back home

Children carry forward now
These heart-written truths

Hearts mix and match well
Like colours in rainbow light
Love flows pure and true

Through eyes that see deep within
Nature shows love's way

First Night

Our holiday was musical
(The food was yummy, too)
Because our grandkids each received
A shiny new kazoo.

To add to the festivities,
Another gift revealed
Harmonicas, which both of them
Did very proudly wield.

With latkes, dreidels, presents and,
Of course, the candles lit,
Our Chanukah was lovely and
My cookies were a hit.

We won’t all be together for
The candles left to light,
But the glow will carry forward
From the sweetness of last night.

Premium MemberNod To Greed

His was a lifetime
spent grabbing
	storing
	stashing
	garnering
	stealing
	collecting
	depositing
	amassing...
try-try-trying to fill
his soul hole carved deep
   from a youth
   from a poverty
of having nothing.

But all was but a sinkhole
each stash
   more greedy-desperate
and heavier
   than the last.

In the end
   all was as nothing
An aggradation,
   too heavy
for the man
to carry forward,

Sinking down with him
   now buried
   and forgotten.

‘Tis said,
A man is remembered
   for what he gives,
Not for what he takes.

A countdown 2023
Ushering in a prosperous new year
Political stability
Economic recovery
Epidemic free
Fast development
Hopes and happiness
Never countdown backwards 2022
Whatever gone is gone
Let leave behind all the frustrations and mishaps
Let carry forward secretly only sweet memories
Let pray
By the kindness and blessings of God
A reborn is guaranteed in 2023

Premium MemberListen To the Moon

The plain is fuzzing with the ingress racing.
Predicted rain is heard in the birds singing.
Sow your seed when the moon tells its time.
Hear the tales close to the fire; it's sublime.

Contemplate the skies for the hawks cry.
Focus on the breeze and the moonlit sky.
The noble spirit exudes an altered tone.
To heed of the rite of the elder, not atone.

The misery of grievousness is heinous.
I am fated, that I could carry forward.
There's no growth from the coldness.
The stable grace cannot stem rearward.

For a dismal exhale to seek for reeling.
Hear the beat and banter with moving.

Reassured

*Reassured*
Amidst the glitzy party, I wallow in suffocation,
Secluded in the bathroom – my apt accommodation.
Trapped within the hollow walls, I weep aloud,
Brutally slapping myself until my brain clouds.
My nerves throttling, I strangle myself,
Sourly oblivious to my true self.
I want to end this relentless agony,
And glide blissfully into eternal serenity.
Thrashed and unraveling, I am not a coward,
Frittering away is my will to carry forward.
My body completely bashed by bruises,
Depleted, I mumble self-loathing abuses.
Wearily battling my inner turmoil,
A stream of defeats left my rope coiled.

My roommate recognized my detrimental behaviour,
With one considerate gesture, she became my saviour.
Her empathy liberated me from the mental anguish endured,
By seeing my worth, my value was reassured.
My roommate’s understanding blessed my life,
Grateful to her for helping me battle my unyielding internal strife.

Right But Wrong

Ain't it funny
How one day you're right
Then the next day you're wrong
Hanging on tough
Trying to stay strong
During those days
That drag on so long
When you're not right

You're wrong

But oh those days
When you are right
Glory of love
Absent of fight
Must always remember
Hold onto the light
To carry forward
Into those long nights

To come

Until whats done

Is done

Waiting for whats meant to be

For whatever

Or whoever

Is looking...

Finally finds

Me

The First Date

She was the first to disappear
Behind the mannequin in "Quirk",
And he, from the cretaceous year
Followed like a Rex in dark.

She swallowed a tranquillizer
And that was showing on her cheeks
pink like a shade of amber, and dear
She was blushing like critics.

It could be any of those,
In this world at the moments
Who carry forward the legacy of prose
Of first daters with comments.

We change rooms every hour;
And in the first we never take a cold shower.

Feeding the Ducklings

Feeding the ducklings one day,
I slipped and fell in all the way.
'Though the lake was murky,
the weather was sultry.
I was inclined to stay.

As I floated on my back,
I heard the ducklings quack.
The fluffy clouds rolled by,
an azure coloured sky.
Transported was I
back to my childhood.

Happy times in happy places.
Smiling happy faces.
Sun kissed skin on
sun soaked beaches.
Listening to screeches
of playful children.

Lovely memories to
carry forward in case
of times I may feel morbid.
So, I am glad now that while
feeding the ducklings one day,
I slipped and fell in all the way.

Celebration

You sprinkle golden dust
I read them and feel silky
In dark or light, read I must
Two are toward the path milky

Even in the nursing home
Amidst the smell of illness
Golden dust do roam
Vacuum cries for fullness

I am a dreamful river
You are a flirting ocean
You and I together
Carry forward the fusion

Lo, there the birds call
Let’s go to dancing hall.

Interlude

Interlude

It becomes apparent
As the days go by
That with years behind you
A desire quietly lye’s

A commitment is made
Day one after the kiss
Of a life full of wonder
Wanting of love and bliss

So for every kiss of the lips
Every caress of the flesh
Patience is yearning
For the intimacy of togetherness

As your day approaches
Do you not feel the urge
That comes on the night
You consummate and merge

A man loves a woman
This happens unending
But for those who are special
Who wait for this blessing

A grace will come upon you
In the generality of sight
Mostly forgotten to us
Your God given light

That you spare the temptation
That bodes the body strife
And saved it for your special night
When first you are man and wife

As you carry forward
May the years bring to you
The love that you have nurtured
A love that is so true

There Is All There Is

There is all there is
No dream no morning dew
As before we were playing and cooking
In the backyard;
All fame for greedy
Through a path will not come to an end
Everyone is on that gathering of ruin
In front of this past nation
That cannot move or carry forward
Its own cherry-blossoms over this
Damned block sensation.

I Close the Lid On the Poet's Coffin

If you are reading this you are most likely alive.

                     a poem reader…….

                                    a contemporary……….

I prefer reading poems from hearts still beating
words with organic life
with love still alight or bitterly lost
from parents who still kiss fresh bruises
verses written by hands still warm.

I can inquire the meaning of cryptic symbols
praise well turned words
describe my appreciation of a moving verse.
The poem lives with the breathing poet
as current as the damp saliva of a fresh kiss.

Dusty classics have their value,
but the cobwebs of old ideas grow cumbersome.
The time comes when the thees, thous, and wherefores must cease.
Like archaic relics of books never checked out of the library,
or old grave markers misunderstood by the new culture.

I’ll choose the present day poets over their grandfathers.
Forward to future poems, not yet penned, I anticipate
written for today, to carry forward to the future.
Please excuse the irony.……
If, you come across this poem…..after I am dead!

A New Day

today is a new beginning.
all my past is gone.
the failures and regrets.
the heartbreaks and sorrows.

the could have done(s)
and should have done(s).
the wish i didnt(s)
and wish it hadnt(s).

all life till yesterday
is a preparation for life today.
no regrets to think about ,
no baggage to carry forward.

a new day greets.
a new world awaits.
smile big and venture out,
It is a new day!

A Piece of Dream

I look behind to see my dream has shattered
into a million pieces on the floor
I knew that this was going to happen
but didn't know it would hurt much more

It was the only way this dream should end
it wasn't one that had a hope
it's better off in a million pieces
I'm just not sure how to cope

I know that I must now recover
and learn to build my dreams again
I just need to build them better
and make them those I can attain

I know the hurting will continue
for a time at least
but from my dream that lies here shattered
I'll take from it one piece

It's something that I'll carry forward
into my new dream I must take
for it's the thought of possibilities
this piece of dream did wake

But it's the image my dream created
is that which hurts the more
I think it's this that lies in tatters
strewn across the floor.
