Either capitulate to Yeshua..Or go to hell.)
THE GIFT
Given a gift so undefined,
my life to win or lose.
Told, "Accept your fate," "capitulate," but
quit wears another man's shoes.
Diminished down to nothingness,
quadriplegic, useless, frail.
The respirator blocks my voice.
My body's now my jail
Days into weeks, weeks into months,
grappling insanity.
Barely alive, and trying to fight, for
sake of my humanity.
Dragging my brain down memory lane
picking my life apart.
Epiphanes, oaths, and promises.
The world for one fresh start.
Etched so deep, each time I weep
when Freebird starts to groove.
Playing along on my air guitar
when I felt my fingers move.
Tears are pouring down my face.
My life in every word.
My fingers missing every note.
I am my own freebird.
Then the work begins, so arduous.
The battle still up hill.
Nothing in this world will stop
a man with iron will.
I kept all oaths and promises.
I own my life again.
It didn't just make me stronger,
it made me a better man.
Meticulously petitioning the Divine for renascence,
From the trepidation of my solipsistic ways.
A renascence into the sempiternal.
For a moment, I was indolent.
But mercy is not optional,
Love unconditional.
Seeking the Magnanimous One,
The Luminous One renders me numinous.
Promised blessings falling like raindrops,
Sheltered by anointing,
Like Daniel, before whom beasts capitulate,
Like Shadrach, untouched by flame,
Like Job faith unshaken by self-fame,
Oh, my soul bless the Omnipotent name.
The sun kissed by mountain goodbyes,
That’s how time flies,
With hope to rise,
And potential born of dedication,
Yet drowned beneath trepidation.
You’re the descended curse from Eden,
Grace misplaced, a soul still bleeding.
Ambiguous dreams, not synchronicity,
You are the seed of Adam and Eve,
Footsteps echo in melancholy.
You pray for wealth, not to be holy,
Chasing gold, forgetting the slowly.
But silence guards the truth you fear,
Like raindrops quieting dust so near.
No gain just pain you feel,
Still, you cease not, nor do you kneel,
Pray when you kneel,
Capitulate not to defeat,
For you are fate’s own Eden seed,
When the noise dies,
The truth stands tall,
The mirror reflect defined art,
That's you realize you got yourself .
“Lasting” peace since time began, was never won nor made by man.
Treaties are made, then hastily broken, and forever more akin to
tim cans!
Israel was just offered to capitulate to all the demands of Hamas?
Those antedeluvian, October genocidists~are our leaders in DC ,
smoking fetid grass?
Our own USA, is sadly, way out of orbit lacking in political, educatiobal
and moral control.
While empty brains in DC, obviously hostile to Israel, are made of mushy
Jelly-Rolls?
DC does not have a clue that body parts from the Nova Festival are still
not even identified?
Sadly, this adminstration supports Hamas, and wants all Jews dead and
and all their national freedoms…..petrified!

With silly smile, playing laptop keyboard
keys, I relay tales of brief, college bliss,
where days, like dry martinis, swiftly pass
lips that pucker for life’s capricious kiss.
My roommates bring joy and warm delight, like
late night Cheeto-fights to break-up study
drudgery - some chaos can counter stress,
though it makes a powdery-orange mess.
While we whirl and preen, when on party scenes,
we've embarked on the classic scholar’s quest.
We're earnest lasses, who pass-up passes -
well, some capitulate - we are human.
But I'm tempered by shame, and remembered
love's flame - and nightly I whisper his name.
.
playing with sonnet
A black van moves slowly down the drive
While her sisters, sons and daughters cry
Here in my heart she will always lie
The moon will still shine and the sun rise
And the world will move on without her
Cerebral ventricles capitulate in the face of fatigue.
At night I am judged by executioners from the shadows who stalk me.
At dawn demons hold my head upright.
Our symbiosis is lethal,
and I can't kill them inside me.
That would be suicide indeed.
/it's getting dark/
The night surrendered to me.
corrosive eyelid rains destroy the skin,
on my body are written the names of the victims
of my internal wars.
I am a woman of principle,
but you should be afraid of them.
You only served me pain,
along with the pain, you also served me a salve,
so that tomorrow your conscience doesn't burn you alive,
but every diagnosis wakes up my inner fires and I burn from the inside,
the verdict on the paper which you bequeathed to me.
Do you have a salve for that too?
Everything your heart desires,
All that for you life requires,
Can be boiled down to one thing,
That in this gift resides.
Want you not the treasured things,
That others crave - like diamond rings,
And cars and riches and the rest,
But in this gift abides....
A luscious hoard of dazzling hue;
Blinding, lavish and for you...
The symbol of your deepest thirst,
Which this gift satisfies.
No more will your heart palpitate,
Nor will you capitulate;
To trivialities of life,
That this gift overrides.
So go forth quenched and full to brim,
No longer are you the victim.
Of unrequited longing for,
That which this gift provides.
In this your palindromic year,
Despite how rancid you appear.
With finger raised and scowl affront.
We gift this gift besides.
If you can motivate,
If you can articulate,
If you can stimulate,
If you can assimilate,
If you can fascinate,
If you can extrapolate,
If you can tolerate,
If you can decorate
If you can investigate,
If you can mitigate,
If you can regulate,
If you can demonstrate,
If you can clean a slate,
If you can stay up late,
If you can refuse to capitulate,
If you can increase the pass rate,
If you can control your heart rate,
If you can manage when your pay is late,
Then teaching you should contemplate.
blazing hot like cayenne pepper,
especially in adolescent years,
malleable youths
bend and capitulate
to peer pressure;
grown folks take the bait, too.
it could be a simple
"try this like the rest of us cool kids!"
or just an effortless nudge of
"you're missing out!"
to descend
an impressionable youngster
down
down
down
the rabbit hole
of insidious seduction.
the benefits of peer pressure are there,
though few and far between.
It's challenging for a lone hold-out
to resist the temptation
of wading in deep into
the muddy waters of coercion
when all his "cool kids" buddies
have crossed over
to the dark side.
no matter your relationship
with anyone forcing you to try
or do anything that goes against
your belief system,
your moral code, say no
if you feel even a tad uncomfortable!
refuse to go down
the primrose path of uncertainty.
don't allow yourself to be
handcuffed, or guilt-tripped
into walking down the road to regret.
It's best to abandon ship,
or better yet, don't board
if any proposition feels false.

She wakes hurting in the early morning light
Refuses precautionary painkillers, ‘til it’s too late
With age comes the fear of that unknown flight
Into eternal rest, or whatever, no need to berate,
At her age, reason is merely an interfering ingrate.
No amount of pleading alters her way of thinking
She’d rather bear intense pain than to capitulate
That her children might know that she is sinking,
No longer competent to make judgments of late
Unable to deal with pain, or how to seal its fate.

These arms are my olive branches
And these hands are my emissaries
They speak languages I cannot speak
And convey emotions I cannot always put into words
They have my full delegation to mediate on my behalf
To negotiate
To appreciate
To celebrate
Or to capitulate if required
They would like to think that they know you well
And they never ever tire of trying to know you better
Even as I try to sleep they are still obsessed with you
To assess you
To undress you
To caress you
To possess you is their desire
What can I say, they also know me well
It is only you who make us so inspired
They know who I love
And so they love you too, without reservation
Without hesitation
Without expectations
Often without invitation
Nor too much patience as you may have noticed!
They are naughty are they not?
These emissaries of mine
Without a doubt though, let me assure you
Your annoyance is not their intention
It is your pleasure that is their raison d’être
And for the next few nights, they’re really going to miss you!
One day
one night
when it started it was summer I think,
the enemy installed itself almost imperceptibly,
emitting the soft sound that said
"Excuse me, I don't intend to delay,
is this hole you live in?,
can i take off my shoes?
where is the bathroom?"
and then what was smooth
gradually it became shrill and continuous and endless.
There's no way to fight this insidious enemy
and now, to be honest,
I'm not even sure that this is my will,
for though imperious and destructive,
he often assumes an unexpected cordial and peaceful tone,
to the point of sitting politely on the sofa in the brain room and,
with the intimacy that only very old companions have,
invades all thoughts and practically lodges in them,
so that there is no way to capitulate or resist,
the only option remaining is resignation
and the false but comfortable acceptance
of what is slowly changing
in a future and inevitable reason for self-extermination.
