My second letter to the little princess in waiting line

I am having one usual day, as it is, most of the days
I, a misfit, wandering around, since
the ultrasound and incubator, they are ever invasive
The world with the main theme, and the off topic, outlier
A peace, to find solace, within.
You are a tiara, a bracelet a pearl and a teardrop too
When I think about the unbridled, unbundled gone spirits, my lion cubs
They are busy in angling, somewhere, elsewhere.
They grew up too close to a Skokie Swift Childcare, they surely do.
They used to tap around the keyboards, busy and always chatterbox
They hardly open up about radiant ways, as they are always busy to pave the gaps.

On a rainy day, they will be sitting inside with their jersey whims for a newer day
And I will be, the ever undecisive, is it the sky blue or the deepest wave, a say or a may

I wish I could be sitting around you, just to see the pristine may
A butterfly stroke on a lonely morn, a red leaf, and a grasshopper day!

winds whirling clouds about
within the confines of this mind
stirred emotions in motion
stagnant waters notwithstanding
spinning all perspectives askew

after the pub crawl
where will we land
if not by the sea
practicing our butterfly stroke
under a monarch moon

To the Drowning

Given a dog’s chance to survive
You won’t your swimming passions revive:
It would be over between you and butterfly strokes,
A thousand ‘All over’ with them even in jokes…
…And between you and jetty releases of mouthed water
You, ready to end its physical life with a mortar!

Allowed to live again,
Your church shan’t fail to gain
I predict: A hundred tuberous yams
And an appreciable number of Jewish rams
That should in any parish stir thrills
As well as tickle divine nostrils…

Now, erased from your mind
Are your gay strides towards your crusher
Its beautiful, treasured bank completely cast behind
And your greedy glances at what its scenes usher
Which you’d feared its disappearance the next moment
And you make a lousy loser of the worthier than ornament…
Sorry for the Drowning
Fighting his fate with mainly frowning.

When Rhyming Reigns

Sun smiles - withering flowers bloom;
Sky sprinkles - bowers gleefully bathe;
Breeze breathes - lovers merrily hum,
And rhyming heals all our aching woes.

Moon snorts wearing a woolen cloud;
Darkness now floods – drowning all,
And eerie spirits stride, hunting for mirth,
Yet rhyming’s reign can rescue us all.

When peace twinkles in poetic lines,
And sprinklers overflow the poetic tanks,
I see readers swim in butterfly stroke,
And then I know that a poet’s duty is done.

Premium Member Exaggeration

An astonishing use of words,
Penned by writers from best schools,
Making writer sage, clown, or fool.
Exaggeration!  Oh! Yes. Yes.
Exaggeration!   Oh! Uh. Huh.

Went down to the muddy river;
The muddy river was bone dry.
Frogs were having a big fish fry!
Exaggeration!  Oh! Yes. Yes.
Exaggeration!   Oh! Uh. Huh.

Went to the nation’s capital;
In the Congress what did I see?
Dems had joined the G O P!
Exaggeration!  Oh! Yes. Yes.
Exaggeration!   Oh! Uh. Huh.

Went across the arid desert,
On a blazing hot summer night.
Snake was frozen in block of ice.
Exaggeration!  Oh! Yes. Yes.
Exaggeration!   Oh! Uh. Huh.

Went to the beautiful ocean;
Had a stroke of beginner’s luck.
Saw crabs doing butterfly stroke.
Exaggeration!  Oh! Yes. Yes.
Exaggeration!   Oh! Uh. Huh.

To go beyond bounds can twist truth.
To overstate can warp the mind.
Fact and fiction intertwined.
Exaggeration!  Oh! Yes. Yes.
Exaggeration!   Oh! Uh. Huh.

Fact and fiction can by design,
Oft trigger dynamic friction,
Truth and fiction can test the mind,
Both tools of the wordsmith’s diction.

Healing Waters

Harmonious and strong swimming strokes in the water,
The breast stroke a learned swim strategy.

I glide through the cool refreshing waters,
My destiny to reach the distant shore.

Then I am back moving through the waters,
The back stroke strong and inviting and clean.

I like the healing waters, like God's care on wings,
Sometimes I transcend to the butterfly stroke laboured and difficult.

Swimming like a dolphin makes me very happy,
I like diving from a moderate diving board.

I dive deep into the water surfacing again like a mermaid,
My somewhat aged system, realigning beautifully.

The Ester Williams movies my favorite,
A swimming Godess and beautiful actress.

The movie sets and costumes beautiful and elaborate,
The honour of being there in the audience.

I reach the shore and return to my beautiful home,
Reflecting on the refreshing experience.

Premium Member My Sister's Diet Coke

My sister sips diet coke
Gets her day going that’s no joke.
It even helps her dream of the Baroque;
Dazzling her eyes while frying her egg yoke.
And folks this is no smoke
It makes her strong as an oak,
While floating like a butterfly stroke
Whenever she drinks her chilled diet coke.
