Exaggeration

An astonishing use of words, Penned by writers from best schools, Making writer sage, clown, or fool. Exaggeration! Oh! Yes. Yes. Exaggeration! Oh! Uh. Huh. Went down to the muddy river; The muddy river was bone dry. Frogs were having a big fish fry! Exaggeration! Oh! Yes. Yes. Exaggeration! Oh! Uh. Huh. Went to the nation’s capital; In the Congress what did I see? Dems had joined the G O P! Exaggeration! Oh! Yes. Yes. Exaggeration! Oh! Uh. Huh. Went across the arid desert, On a blazing hot summer night. Snake was frozen in block of ice. Exaggeration! Oh! Yes. Yes. Exaggeration! Oh! Uh. Huh. Went to the beautiful ocean; Had a stroke of beginner’s luck. Saw crabs doing butterfly stroke. Exaggeration! Oh! Yes. Yes. Exaggeration! Oh! Uh. Huh. To go beyond bounds can twist truth. To overstate can warp the mind. Fact and fiction intertwined. Exaggeration! Oh! Yes. Yes. Exaggeration! Oh! Uh. Huh. Fact and fiction can by design, Oft trigger dynamic friction, Truth and fiction can test the mind, Both tools of the wordsmith’s diction.
