fitting right in with the crowd.
If I close my eyes I hear the disco music
and blend in with the other groupies.
Life is simple as we parade our youth,
just another bunny without a care in the world.

Rabbits thrive beneath our sweet-potato vines, quite the cozy retreat~
free flowers, fresh veggies, and rent so cheap they’ll never leave their suite.
Easter bunny sent his eldest to me to brag
Her name was Charlene, she had one small snag
I created this wreath but I have a problem too
The back keeps slipping, so we added glue
I flipped it over and helped her fix the wreath
She was so grateful, she grinned with a whole set of teeth
So, your name is Charlene, I said. She nodded her head.
What’s your Daddy doing these days? He’s probably in bed.
On an ivory Easter screen, I remember
that mortality hops in each April or September~
when my wallpaper displayed
a calm bunny parade
then announced it had passed on to Task Manager.

Snowflakes sunk into my soft fur
I purred as my fur began to puff
the puff wetting my once so soft fur.
I fluttered as my fur began to puff.
During the Nightengale, when its cold,
When my head is filled in the slough
tarnished in scuff making me less bold.
My lips shuddered in the freezing snow,
flakes flowed and i decided to bring my body to a fold
from hind legs to long legs nestled in snow
wallow in the warmth, losing my wool
soft skin leaving me in a soft glow
I run against the snow and its cool
running back to my home and no longer being a fool
drugged winter fighting against the null

There once was an Easter Bunny
Who only came out when it's sunny
When it started to rain
Eggs went down the drain
And the kids didn't think it was funny.

There once was a squirrel who wanted to be a bunny,
He dyed Easter eggs pastel and, oh so yummy.
His name was Eddie, quick as DoorDash*
And wore pink fluffy ears quite brash.
He hopped around, called himself Sunny.
But his hops proved a farcical fail,
His acrobatics turned tails pale~
He stored nuts in his cheeks,
And developed a twitchy mystique.
‘cause he drank too much Easter-themed ale!
