Premium Member When a Lone Crow Cawed

Recently, one winter morning, out of the blue,
I heard the caw of a lone crow -
Once found in flocks across our land,
Now vanished many years ago.
Its caw awakened in me the
Memories buried in the wavering wash of time.

The weather those days was fine,
Water in the ponds and rivers was pure.
Rills full of fish would twist and flow
Through the villages.

The cricket’s song at dawn and dusk,
The farmer's call in the early morning,
As he headed towards the paddy field
With a pair of bulls so charming.

His caw recalled the temple bell’s ring
From the palace shrine in early morning,
A sound that once brough heart’s delight.

Oh,the Uthum’s song on a sunny day,
And Tamna’s call at night,
No longer heard, nor seen the fireflies,
Twinkling far and near at night.

Gone are many local varieties of fish,
Plants, and greens once found in abundance
In our land.

Today, that lone caw in the air
Brought back to me the memories rare,
Yet worried for what we have lost,
Ecological balance now the cost.

Arrivederci winter

Now it is finally the time
To say
Arrivederci winter
It was indeed a long Winter
I was already getting sick
Of the winter
That never seem to ended
Now finally my Father brough the spring today
And I am very happy about that
Also my Father brought back
Home the birds that I was missing
For a long time now
At night time I live the windows
Open so it can cool my house
Because I have no air conditioning
In my house
And I been living in my house
For a long time now
Also I love the area I live in
The birds wake me up
With their song first thing in the morning
I am already used to that

Brave Slave Would Crave Horn Haiku

when she tied the knot
must marry an astronaut
became overwrought

when he (she) was a slave
he had lived in home of the brave
freedom always crave

(caught moving through a cave)
(would live lonely life like a knave)
(was stuck (struck) with a stave)
(died when stuck with stave)
(like Jesus jammed with stave)
(at those on ship would wave)

when there was slavery
they always had been neighborly
would be much bravery

slaves would always shiver
when a newborn did deliver
had been with a fever

when he had a nickel
His money was in small trickle
would pick out a pickle

when in yard stood a tall tree
would climb and for miles could see
brough back a memory

Come and See

Times be' low and times a' grough,
No rest behold a' lowly brough,
Sings a' song the mocking bird,
Head long plunged the sorry herd.

Copy and Paste all a' dearth,
Post's seem true yet none be' worth,
Life is lost, God's not there,
Morals begone, long lost care!

None be typed, none that read,
Violence and rights, blood that bleeds,
All is lost and gone a' sway,
Tis a night a' dark as day.

Be not dismayed, stay on faith,
Evils' begone, their judgement wait'h,
Pray hard and hold fast, as justice's here,
God will wipe away each and every tear.

What culture says, is not as felt,
Knowledge be all, Learn be not a' dealt,
I know more and you know more,
But God knows how rotten we are to core!

The end be-come, Holiness Victor!
All evils' gone, a' past a' spectre,
Eden blooms and birth's a-new,
Do not worry my friends, God will re-new.

Drunken Joke

Drunken joke
smelling blood
dirty hands
broken bones
who was him?
I don't know
brought me here
without love...

Drunken joke
what was that?
why did you do this?
why were you mad?
what turn a good man
so deeply bad
who did this to you
I wish I could ask.

Drunken joke
drunken lie
made my mother mother
before time
I can't hate him
but I won't lie
I hate every single step
that brough him into our lives.

The Love Gods Smiled On Us

The Love Gods Smiled on Us

I have had a fairy tale life
I met and married the girl
Of my dreams

She came to me
In a dream
In 1974

She was the most beautiful women
In the whole world to me
She spoke to me
In a mysterious language

Then disappeared
Only to return
Weekly
For eight long years
She haunted my dreams

Then one day
When I was in Korea
Where I had gone
To find her

Joining the Peace Corps
Spending three years
Looking for her

The love Gods
Intervened
And she came to life
Walked out of my dreams

Seven weeks later
We became man and wife
That was 40 years ago
Ever since then
Every day I give thanks

To the Gods of Love
For their divine intervention
When they brough this angel
To my life.

Premium Member Did You Know the Joy of a Rescue Pup

Did you know that a rescue dog was meant to rescue you
Did you know they waited on the road or in a cage to bring
you to life to make you smile to force you to raise from the bed
watch you enter into the light of day or the gray mysery that brough up life the whine of a dog afraid seeking life and warm and love.
Such a simpie joy sent by creation.
Such an instant living joy of life

Please Dance With Me

I saw her out of the conor of my eye.
She was just standing there.
Beaitful flowing hair.
Bright red dress.
I strolled over any as if she wanted to dance.
She accepted wwith a big smile.
So we danced the night away.
When we finished I took her over to the bar.
And brough her a drink.
And we talked aand talked.
at the end of the night Iasked her out.
She was the nicest woment there.
It was a nice night.
And I am seeing her again.

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas

Who's the big fat reddest suit
the children shout excited.
Who'll take presents from his bag
and hand them proof enlighted.

Who shouts ho
fat ho fat ho
Laughs for children
brash and brough.

Cracks the whip of Christmas Spirit
Beckons kids to sit and stare at.
Fuels the weir for Christmas wishes.
and calls communion Saint Nick Merrit.

JOLLY OLD SAINT NICHOLAS

My Angel

If I could pick a memory of my precious beautiful daughter
I would have to sit and think for a while
For there's lots for us to treasure.
From a tiny baby growing up
To a toddler falling down .
From a teenager to a beautiful lady
In her red gown.
So many memories there is to recall
But I think I've captured the one that stands
Out from them all ,is that special time
All mothers know the day that you were born.
Placed gently in your mother's loving arms
So pretty and so small.
To me you came from heaven
Brough by angels from above
It was then I learned of a mothers
Unconditional love.
You've now taken back that special gift
You gave me on that day.
why god did you take my precious daughter away
Why couldn't she have stayed
So please take care of her I'll miss her
Every single day but is comforting
Knowing your guiding her on her way.
I will miss you my only daughter
With all my aching heart
I really can't beleve your gone
My world's now torn apart.
Ur a shining star as bright as can be
Keep on shining brightly for me.
Sleep tight our angel we will always
Have you in our hearts
Your imprinted there forever
Our love for you will never part.

Samuel Rosenstock

someone rapped on the window
in the evening
it was a star and it was bleeding
and it brough some strange parcel
with a note:
"Mandrake and an armoured elephant, for You."
 - Samuel Rosenstock
after which there were fireworks in the bedroom
and that’s how the dreams are born, if I’m right.

MY WORLD YOUR WORLD

The Children Cry and Aged Die

Why do the children cry
and the aged have to die?
Do children at birth feel
pains
or the aged tired of
earthly grains?

Why does the river flows
and the gentle breeze
blows?
do rivers have legs to
walk
or the breeze mouth to
talk?

Why do the dogs bark
and the great thunder
sparks?
barks and sparks
sound...aloud
but there is no dog in the
dark cloud.

Why shines the sun at
noon
and twilight unviels the
moon?
Light at noon, light at
night
why is one so bright in
might?

Why do sweet
friendships break
and some folks tend to
be fake?
If love lives on, do lies not
last,
is there a space in the
future for the past?

Why do we have to lose
the people we did not
choose:
mother, father, sister and
brother,
was it fate that brough
us together?

Why is the earth spherical
in shape,
why must men be linked
to ape?
Too many questions
craving answers,
Dear God, give men the
cure for all...cancers.
