Premium Member BRING YOUR SIN

Bring your sin and the ugliness within
It’s all we bring: our part of the equation
But He quickens us to Christ
This Desire of every nation
The ingredients found in the preparation
Is the recipe for God’s vindication
It’s more than a metaphor
It’s an intimate union prepared by the Lord
And as we doubt and fall, sinking as did Peter
Let us cry out to our Overcomer and Leader
(And daily we need our Savior because of our behavior)
“Mein Körper und mein Blut” says Martin Luther
But it’s more than just elements
But we have faith (and sin we exchange)
For our development
(It’s a spiritual imbibing of Jesus Christ
Needed for the Christians ambling through this life)
Myriads and myriads of angels
Descending and ascending on Jacob’s Ladder
For periods and periods in eternal life
We will live this faith (with each other), and for our Master
(In closing hear the pastor’s call, to all)
The Law and The Gospel, they work in tandem
As the Old Testament puts the baton in the New Testament hand
This is our faith that’s not contrary to reason
Even as we walk together with The King of the land

Bring to me seed of darkness

Bring t’me seed of darkness special,
I’ll from dawn, of brightness special.

Thoughts crowd the mind dressed as special,
Some more so, some are less special.

What to wear, what not’s worth weighing,
In merit, one’s dress is special.

In today’s times of power and puff,
No less is one’s address special.

Bring to me a man bogged with blame,
Confess he’ll, goodness is special.

Bring Us Back To Life

Something inside tells me
That things are gonna change
The world is in great turmoil
I feel there's lots and lots of pain
The rich are getting richer
And the poor barely get by
Oh Jesus please come help us
Bring this world now back to life

Premium Member Bring Them Home, Santa

Christmas in July in Israel is nigh
My list of wishes in the Gaza Strip is

     For every hostage priceless,
     Too many now lifeless

     Grieve for Israel’s fallen married
     Weep for singles yet unburied

Premium Member BRING IN ALL THE LOVE WE CAN

In this time of uncertainty…hate and anger…
between every kind of woman and man
may we be blessed to bring into the world…
all the love we can.

From wherever we do your wishing…
whether in our heart alone…
or from a God above…
Never have we needed it more…
never has there been a greater time….
never has there been a greater need…
for love.

Seasons Bring Change

The season’s subtle winds bring change, from the skies
to the mountains, bearing an autumnal overcoat
boasting gold, orange, and scarlet, gradually
hushing to a dying chestnut brown.

Soon, the warming of spring will throw back its head,
laughing at crocuses and daffodils daring to
	bloom above winter’s malingering snow.

The pulse of dawn captures me in its taciturn wake.
Above, the trees shed the last of their death and
blend in with the persistence of the evergreen.

I slowly bend and bleed with the horizon’s edge and
hold summer by the hand, laughing and
giving autumn a nod, knowing he’d be back
	one day.

Premium Member bring in the rain

bring in the rain

her rocking chair was hushed,
the metric creaking ceased
and sprinkles fell gently
like a supple cotton blanket.

she no longer smiled.
her feeble hands were folded
while a sweet summer breeze
softly kissed her unyielding lips.

persistent raindrops fell
singing a final melody
to the old lady who waited
for the kiss of visiting angels.

her journey now complete,
the fragrance of roses
growing in a parched land
beckoned the angels
to bring in the rain.

Premium Member Bring back the sun

At times I used to think life
was a luscious bowl of grapes
but since, in many weeks and months,
we haven't seen the sun ~
I've fundamentally shriveled up,
my mind's become a raisin.

Premium Member When I Bring Home a Deer

When I bring home a deer...
to live in our living room, my roommate
won't hear of it. Fear of what? I will ask.
He has no horns. He eats only oats, but
not yours only; I bought him some food.

He's not even hairy. I'm not even sorry
I brought him home. He'll sleep with me
on the floor of the washroom. I'll wash
him down with a hose and a broom.

I suppose you think there's no room
for a deer without antlers (as dear
as he is). What do you want? I should
bring home a goat?
