Bozo
Bozo's From Your Dad
And Your Grandad
And Your Dad's GrandDad
And Off Into Finality
Where All Of Them Meet
As One, Eternally.
I Thought This
Would Be An
Apology, Though
Uh?
Weird?
Is That Backwards?

fearful he rose from the ashes of hellfire
singed skin scorched soul and blistered mind
his heart full of charcoal burdened the flight
yet carbon cinder fuelled an escape route
from the trajectory of death or eternal damnation
when a tiny glimpse of ember cast hope
of renewal change growth and survival
he gave in to the vital force of the universe
and embarked on a miraculous journey
imbued by restoration gratitude and love
we’re here and so warm
we’re finally home
So Bozo you clown
you like to frown
forever being a
Sullen Mischief
So why do you sometimes have
such a great big smile
when you would rather
run a mile
Is it because circus games
are not so vindictive
when you smile
and can predict it..
So the problem then has always been
your smile is just a silly grin
and does not come from within
So smile you clown and stop the frown
Run a mile and create mischief
Because that is what a clown is
But a Bozo no one can predict

I’m going tell you a really funny, funny
story
It's going to really make you laugh out
Loud,
Your belly will ache and you will be tickled
pink.
Are you ready for the laugh of your life?
First you have to follow these simple
instructions.
“Laugh like you’ve never laughed before
Picture yourself on a stage and everybody
in the audience looks like bozo the clown”.
There you have it, that's the end of my
funny story.

This clown is a bit under the weather today
Bozo ain't feeling well, can't come out to play
Just a passing thing
So have you a wing ding
Growed up strong, won't be long till I'm back to 1-A
What is it about a bluegrass banjo solo
That turns my crank and drives me loco
That foot tappin' beat
Can't control my feet
I freak out, guess I'm just a bluegrass banjo bozo
What is it about a bluegrass banjo solo
That turns my crank and drives me loco
That foot tappin' beat
Can't control my feet
I freak out, guess I'm just a bluegrass banjo bozo
Bozo talking from his string
pulled to make him loud.
Orange nose shining bright as day
sure to please a crowd.
Red hair glowing in a bunch
just for your attention.
Gaping mouth to make you smile
and laugh at his intention.
Bended limbs to hold your hand.
Hugs to make you warm.
Bozo shouting out his name
loud enough to charm.
Propped against your pillow slip
left to get some rest.
Cuddles for your clown asleep
Bozo's peace has blessed.

all us kids on my
block rushed towards bozo's
house when we saw his car
pull up
his yard, unmistakable with the
striped picket fence always kept
the curtains drawn
but when he pulled up to the
curb and opened the trunk we peaked
in
it was like light hitting buried
treasure
sparkling sweet
as he handed it out
mom said sad things go on behind
the closed
curtains

A BOZO BOY
DEPENDS ON HIS gods
FOR HIS gods ARE WOODS, IRONS
MADE FROM CREATIONS OF A CREATOR
When it comes to modern technology
The word “bozo” suits me to a “T”
I quiver and shake and tremble all over
When my computer asks questions of me!
Think to myself “If you're so damn smart
Why are you asking this old guy?
I'm back in the days of peck-peck-peck
On my typewriter listening to hi-fi!”
I'm at an age when the brain doesn't work
The way it did way back when
Wait a minute, I'm not sure this old brain
Was that brilliant even back then!
Some of us guys were born to be techies
I'm just happy being real simple
Totally content in my own little world
All the girls just love my dimples!
I may be a bozo but I'm a happy bozo
Not familiar with that techie talk
Made it this far without hurting my brain
Technology's a total crock!

My name is Bozo, the neighbourhood clown
Spreading happiness, a clown of renown
There's too many bad things happening now
So smile and giggle, no frowns are allowed
Us guys weren't born to mumble and grumble
So stand on your head or go for a tumble
Roll over and over, spin like a top
Jump up and start singing bout red lollipops
Hey you over there! Yes, you in the back
You're not joining in, let out a big quack
Get up and start dancing, make Bozo smile
In the happiness race, you'll win by a mile
Now just one more thing before I must go
For all you kiddies, advice you should know
Always be nice and kind every day
So Bozo will smile and send love your way!
