Don'T Quit Your Daydream

I tried so long to get into your head
While you would sleep in the dead of the night
To be the monster underneath your bed
Yet mid nightmare, I'd start to feel contrite

I asked the greats to teach me how to scare
So in the darkness you would feel terror
My own conscience kept me from getting there
No condition of my kind much rarer

For we all vie for the same promotion
Big bucks for boogeymen are in the screams
All I want to do is cause commotion
More than big rainbows and babbling streams

But im the the nice guy on our nightmare team
They just keep saying, "Don't quit your daydream"

New Age Boogeyman

Not all of the boogeymen live under your bed
Some can be worse than concoctions from your head
Not all of them are green, with sharp and jagged teeth
Some of them are orange, and hide their fangs underneath

They try to hide beneath their masquerading wispy mane
But the wind blows their cover, showing it's in vain
They try to trick us into drinking poison, and get into your head
I hope the ones that believed it, didn't end up dead...

They make you think they're on your side, but only ever lie
They can even seem kind of pleasant, until you sever ties
Then they come after you with all the force of a rocket
And if you try to shake their hand, they rip your arm out of the socket

Their bullying can be furious, sometimes even fiery
Writing nasty rumors about you in a very public diary
Making exaggerated motions, hoping to distract you
Luckily some have tiny hands, that would physically impact few

But their words can be damaging and can demand a crowd
Sometimes their biggest weapon, is that they're so very loud
If we collectively ignore them, maybe they'll get no more attention
The very least we can do, to keep up boogeyman prevention

Awake before dawn
The night's Boogeymen retreat
Into daytime rest.

Television news
Fearmongers quickly step in
To fill up the void

Psalm a la Moms
To a tyke, Mom could be creator,
Tasty milk, tears & hurts aerator,
Mother Goose wisdom comfort,
Hugs do scary dreams & boogeymen, be short,
Lullaby & "Tucking In" bring on sleep,
'Til morning rays make staying in bed steep,
Much to mom's much desired rest disarray,
This is why Mom's Day is! A meager pay!
Where is dad in all of this?
Why dad enables mom & without him, "Alas!"
Look around, See? Observe the Birds & the Bees,
Mom is no less a maestro, as we, in His symphonies!

Small Walking Boogeyman Image Firework

Scared me all around
Get down get down
And moving all round
Like a Up and down
Turns the eyes closed
Small and large image in the fences
Blew of winds and curtains fall down
Get down the bed, I am not a clown
O boogeymen go away I will light the fire
And that will work definitely like a closed wire
Thinking stopped and silence all around
Not a single mummer surround
Now boogeyman will not caught you with his harmer tall
Turns image from large too small.
Hey buddy opens your eyes.
It’s time to wake up dud leave all your night dream lies ,get to work
And small walking boogeyman image disappeared by the dawn light of firework.

================================

Hiding in the shadows, there
at the corner of my eye,
I am slowly made aware
there is someone else nearby...

"Who is that?!" I bellow then,
"Hiding in the shadows there?"
"I've no use for boogeymen!",
I yell into empty air.

One more sheepish peek I dare,
feeling harebrained to have thought,
hiding in the shadows, there
was some scare that there was not....

But my heart begins to race
when that cursed glance I spare,
suddenly reveals a FACE
hiding in the shadows there!

Dance of the Boogeymen(An Unusual Halloween Hors D'Oeuvre)

Twirling around and around in the Night Sphere
Creepy eyes that scream out for a Partner in Loungerie
Two
plus 2
6 and then Twenty
The Boogeymen of the night
Catching the souls of the departed in flight
Sending them to the loneliest corner of Hell
With a Dunce Cap on every head that read:
HERE YOU ARE STUPID..AMONG THE ZOMBIES AND THEIR DEAD
A quiet empty trio of fools who did not play it cool while they were alive
Who refused to submit to the booze, the Pot,and all that Open Up Jive
Sweethearts on the dance floor where the Dead party all without a smile
Takes us back to that Halloween Trick or Treat town,at least for a little while
Mothers swing their Fathers
The Grim Reapers do their do-si-do
Harper Valley 1-800-NEXT-OF-KIN
Biting Teeth on a Harker Jonathan
Sipping blood with a grinning Mina
She is lovely in that shade of dead
Vein vessel blood all around her neckTAR and thy Head
Here in the ram shackled Studio 50 for DEAD
Dancers are the Boogeyshoes
With one eye alive and the other socket popped out
Sleep Deadly tonight Beneath the full moon and the Tango of cold Harvest Fright
