Boogey baby with a bippity boppity boo bee
Swung his body with a beat that fit him to a tee
Come over and watch his grandma said. Come see!
Proud of her darling toddler grandson was she!
We watched him dance, until he could no more.
Once he hit his napping place, he let out a snore.
He is darling, we said to grandma who did adore.
The boogey baby toddler, whose feet were not sore.

"Merry Christmas to all", says Sam the Stork
As he parties with some friends
They are laughing and joking merrily
As they boogey til the end
Leo the Lion is letting his mane loose
And of course things aren't complete without good ol Mother Goose
Frank the Fox and Stewie the Snake
Join Willy the Weasel with an intent to take
Harry the Hippo just wants to grub
While Susan the Swan just wants some love
Different animals all around just trying to get smitten
Deangelo the Dog is dancing with Krissa the Kitten
Everybody just wants to have a good time
Let tomorrow be tomorrow but today lets be fine

Insanity
A plague plagues human beings.
It started with the very first two.
Throwing away everything good,
wonderful, and beautiful.
Many billions of humans later
It Permeates the globe.
Insanity!
Modern-man, has the advantage of hind-sight.
They can see mistakes
humans have made before them.
Yet, choose repeating mistakes
knowing that it is a mistake.
Insanity!
Teaching youth not to lie
but, lie to them regularly.
Knowing one day they will know
of the lies told and, they repeat
the same lies to their youth.
Educational history books
are filled with known falsehoods.
Then there is
Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy
or Boogey-man.
The list goes on and on.
Insanity!
Besides destroying the planet
that sustains us
there are wars, hate, corruption of government,
cruelity, racism, slavery, hunger, poverty
and, so on.
Repeated throughout the history of humanity.
Remaining to this very day.
Insanity!
Nearly every human being
on the face of this planet
is touched by this plague.
Or...could it be humanity is the plague.
Insanity!

Does God Owe Anyone an Apology?
When misfortune and bad luck strikes
Many of us feel God is either dead or owes us an apology.
Certainly, if you find yourself at the wrong time and place.
All you can do is pray for mercy.
Perhaps he needs to do things differently before the fanatics wipe us out.
In modern life, there are many ways to learn to be good
School does this, a nice film or a good song does this too.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not advocating atheism—
Kids need God to protect them from the boogey man late at night.
However, as adults, the concept of an invisible man
You meet after you die may sound a little far-fetched.
But, if you are suffering any kind of serious illness or are at the end of your life,
You may find comfort in believing heaven.
Everyone wants to make it to heaven but no one wants to die.

I am finding myself believing in monsters.
The Boogey man that lived under the bed,
The demon that lurked in the dark ,
The Wicked Trolls that'll grab my ankles.
I am finding myself fearing these monsters.
The Boogey man that told me-
my life choices were sinful ,
The demon living in my emotions,
The wicked troll that judged my every move.
I didnt find myself ,
I found my reverence .
A leach on my shoulders relieving me of
Hope ,Happiness -
The light of life.
I've found my fears ,
Now i'm affraid .

Screams in the night give me a chill
I take one step further then stay very still
The moon is bright and the air is crisp
A ghost glides by me, a frothy white wisp
I look all around me to see what is next
My phone in my hand wanting to text
My mom is at home and I’m out with my friend
Making my way to the treats at the end
Without warning out jumps a man with a knife
Stuck to his head as the blood drains his life
My heart is pounding and racing in fear
I’m frozen and not sure of the way that is clear
I turn to my right, ready to run
As a bulging eyed monster says he’s not done
I bolt to my left as fast as I can
Past the graveyard, the skeleton and the boogey man
Finally making my way across the floor
I grab my goody bag and fly out the door
I look at the sky as I shake from the fright
My breath makes little clouds in the night
I turn to my friend as we smile and act tough
Then we open our goodies and laugh it all off

UNSPEAKABLE SADNESS
I dream of a porcelain-skinned baby, newly expelled from my loins.
Giggling, singing, chubby hands extended, feet kicking in unending joy.
She sings simple tunes of love
To the one who makes her happy and chases away the boogey man; to mom.
I awake to the truth that my baby is 23, and the boogey man has a new name.
Frightened glances shoot my way from damp eyes, while shaking hands reach out for support.
But mommy can't chase this away with a band-aid and a lollipop.
This boogeyman, named Lymphoma, scares mommy even more than her frightened cub.
I am helpless. My body is that of a blow-up clown weighted on the bottom so I always bounce back. My exaggerated mouth is painted in an unnatural blood red smile.
The cancer is growing. Her hair is falling out, but I bounce right up
With my unchanging, gleeful expression.
I only hope someone pokes a pin in me if the cancer wins,
So I can melt into a puddle of my own tears,
One that extinguishes my life's fire from the soul-stove of my heart,
Clown face distorting in an agony that truly mimics my existence.

What would happen if there was no happily ever after?
Would the stories we love now still be passed on?
Or would we abandon their worlds because we couldn’t hide inside them?
What would happen without the “evil” characters?
What hardships would the main characters endure?
Dorothy had the Wicked Witch,
Sleeping Beauty had Maleficent,
Jack Frost had the Boogey Man,
Without the bad ones,
There would be no story,
Yes they are “bad”,
But everyone is guilty of something,
The Wicked Witch grew up with a mother that didn’t want her,
Maleficent was hurt,
The Boogey Man was jealous,
That doesn’t make them bad,
It shows that they have flaws,
If you switched around the roles,
Made GOOD become BAD,
Where would we be then?
The stories would be better,
Relatable,
Honest,
Don’t judge a book by its cover,
Because behind even the toughest covers,
There is a story full of secrets,
Waiting to be discovered.

I Walk Alone
( by Joan Donnelly Ellis October 23 2015)
I walk alone
I am the vapor
I am the chill creeping up your spine
I am the cold wind that chills you
I am your disturbed mind
I am the frigid winter morning
I am the goose bumps
I am what you cannot explain
I am insanity unleashed
I am the bitter falling rain
I am the nightmare ' neath your pillow
I am the boogey man in whom you don't believe
I am the Creator of Halloween
Terror you have not yet seen
I am your wildest, crazy dream
I am gloom
I am moon without a star in sight
I am sun without shade
I am unconscious soul
Of no one afraid
I am slippery, cunning and hatred bore me true
And if you know not Jesus Christ I will destroy you

He's the equivilent of a human killing machine.
No remorse, no guilt, no need, no reason.
Pure evil runs through his cold blooded veins,
as he stalks and slays unsuspecting victims
every Halloween again and again.
Most claim him to be but an urban legend
yet every Halloween he claims more victims.
This dark masked figure without a face
then disappears and vanishes without a trace,
until next Halloween when he surfaces again.
His name is Michael Myers and he's the true Boogey Man.

Binge fiend of opulent fear. Between two way mirrors sponsoring fright, pale sheets of red color paint. Tell me if you believe in the boogey man.
Does it nip the tips of your toes while you sleep? Dreams of animosity teethed at the hair strewn rind of bedlam.
Or perhaps the pair of bright bleached eyes illuming in frosty despondence, a closet of decadence with a grain swollen grimace.
Do you believe in the boogey man?

...for Tarah and Alina
Boogey and Boopy will never be droopy
as long as they play in the grass(es),
they'll rumble and tumble with nary a grumble,
so cute when they fall on their ***** !

Walking through portraitures discordant nightmare
Acutations better part, of singulars far too long?!
Enunciating endogenous skeletons; less proxy....
Amid the harrowing graveyard of their bones
Decaying biosphere chambers these tales
In secrets they have never told!?
Slumber gathering beyound the iron gates
Atop the sepulchers betwixt gray stones
Virtual tombs marking time which screams....
And all the blood is not my own?!

A true quest is presented before those young virgin eyes of adulthood,
A focus of vision at still and paralyzed of what becomes of you,
A artic shiver runs down your spine and through your heart,
A sweat that makes snow fall and that same double standard of fire burning in that presence of who you are.
A strike of unknown standards flies you hard and fast,
A worry that will always haunt day and night,
Most quiver in their shoes, others shake in thier hands,
That grail of life, and to strive on, is worse than that boogey man under your bed, that first kiss what waited for you, or the pain of your past.
This one bourdan that is conflicting in all, but driven to make great ones of fellow man.
Is this the work I want to provide me with and share among???

Things that live in webbed corners of our mind,
that lurk under our beds or in the closet we soon find,
love the dark of gloom, the delicious smell of fright,
fertile dreams edge into heart-thumping terrors of the night.
A simple closet changes into the portal between fantasy and real,
shadows manifest out of every goosebump and beads of sweat we feel,
logic switches off and imagination wakes and monsters rule our brain,
and suddenly we are transported back to our childhood once again.
Gone are the thoughts of inlaws, taxes and the many burdens we bear,
We now are riding dragons and vanquishing monsters of land and air,
Warriors of strength and valour, failure is not known in this realm,
For King, Kith and Kin, with sword raised, we cannot be overwhelmed.
As a child, we were hero, warrior and victor to damsels in distress,
we cared nothing for wealth, fame and the way we looked and dressed,
So come on Boogey-Man, Dracula and things that go bump in the night,
with our imaginations free and clear we will conquer you with our might!
