all bark, no trunk tree
wind howls from cruel blank sea
calls all in, bluffing
the emperor has no clothes
no child innocent remains
Why has natural human beauty
Been deemed as not enough
Faces plastered and glued
With artificial, unnatural stuff
False eyelashes glued on
The length of camels plus some
Faces orange or unnaturally brown
Not touched by natures sun
Lips injected and pumped
Botox faces unable to move
Veneered teeth blindingly bright
Faces with so much too prove
It is so sad that young girls and women especially
Believe they are not beautiful or enough
Without wearing their artificial painted masks
Their natural beauty disguised and hidden…. behind the bluff
There’s no white job
There’s no black job
We seek a better life
Every day and that’s no gaffe
There’s no white hope
There’s no black hope
Hope has no color
Hope has no odor
We seek a better life
Every day like a giant giraffe
We reach for the stars
In spite of the ugly scars
There’s no white music
There’s no black music
We tend to forget history
And the true genesis of humanity
White lies
Black lies
You all know what I’m talking about
As we become nothing at the end of the bout
Reality will set in
As we settle into the special inn
We seek a better life
Let’s live, enjoy and laugh
Stop focusing on the white stuff
Which will eventually turn black in the mouth
And that’s no bluff.

the Seagulls bluff
his claws full of sentences
Languid beads of still water
with Neptunes panacea
Pirates tip toeing
the helter skelter
of a madman's voix
Yet the gentle way
Autumn wheat chaffing
beckoning the best years of your life
Take your stand sang the seagull
Unwrap your plans
Take your best foot forward
Wedded Bluff
You've made an invalid selection
The gal you picked was once nice
And she was once good in bed
Now it's all **** up worst damn way
You're stuck with a complaining wife
Three decades of pure effing bliss

From 'old' Black Wall Street
The Greenwood District and more
To the 'new' Pine Bluff
So much promise for true growth
Businesses and services
She said she’d go to the police,
but she was bluffing,
so I went to them today,
and she can’t do nothing
I’ve called her bluff
I’ve had enough,
her mouth is crude
her face is rough
one thing gets me the most
personality of a guff o’gross
I found you gal
And felt so grand.
I placed a bet
And played my hand.
But I was suckered
By your bluff,
‘Cause what you offered
Wasn’t love.
I still remember,
Way back when,
You upped the ante
Once again.
The stakes were higher
Than I knew.
I lost my soul
When I won you.
I’m gonna dry
My tears of you,
Then I’ll begin
My life anew.
I’ll plug that hole
Left in my heart
So I can find
A brand new start.
I was so suckered
By your bluff,
‘Cause what you offered
Wasn’t love.
You had me fooled
For a few years,
Then I woke up
And drowned in beers.
Now clean and sober
I can leave,
And I won’t even
Stop to grieve.
I’m gonna dry
My tears of you,
Then I’ll begin
My life anew.
I’ll plug that hole
Left in my heart
So I can find
A brand new start.
I was so suckered
By your bluff;
‘Cause what you offered
Wasn’t love.
Dan's daily head news
for a long time and decades
bluff is going on
The sun’s rays
Beat through the clouds,
Creating silver sparkles
Upon the crest of the waves,
Which surround the lonely sailboat drifting
Towards the small rocky island.
Green tuft of trees, like hair,
Growing over the bald spots.
Small cottage clinging to the point
Like a poor man’s castle.
The arbutus are shedding their rusty peel,
Revealing rich golden nakedness beneath.
Pine fragrance hovers around me
From trees not yet eaten by the pine beetle.
I hear my hound rustling in the leaves behind me
As she chases yet another annoying insect,
While sitting on my bluff
Surveying the never ending landscape.
Wide open skies and great expanse of ocean,
Toy sailboats in the hazy distance,
Sound of lapping waves below me.
Mother Nature has outdone herself again!
BRING IT ON
Bring your unreachable,
Bring your difficult,
I am tough,
Bring your burdens,
Bring your depressed,
I’ve gone through rough,
Bring your exhausting,
Bring your untouchable,
Know all that stuff,
Bring your unorthodox,
Bring your unspeakable,
Bring on the powerful,
I’ll call their bluff,
Will take them by the scruff,
For I have had enough!
Scent spills sift
White wine whiff
Sound sleep saves
Big blooms brave
Rest ripe roar
Sleek sounds soar
Set sure style
Mist moves miles
Race ripe rest
Feel fear fest
Crude crisp creed
Bright blood bleeds
Buzz breaks boom
Gripe gloats gloom
Note nerves nice
Sprint sour spice
Sense strange stuff
Blind boast bluffs

I know of our neighbor called Kimbo
who joins poker deals like a gizmo--
he slammed one big bluff
lost all his rich stuff--
paid debt cleaning old waiter's limo !

Trump Big Bluff Horn Haiku
Trump is a big bluff
Do hate to be tough and gruff
Enough is enough.
After hearing Obama speaking
about Trump.
Jim Horn
Blindly back and forth I chase
Some pretty girl’s façade
Instead of finding truth and grace
Each time a charade
Seems like Blind man's Bluff's my game-
Always seek, never find.
Places and faces change, life's still the same
Despair fills my mind.
(chorus)
I'm tired of playing Blind Man's Bluff,
Chasing someone I cannot see.
I want a gal who believes in love,
Who'll commit to me,
Who'll commit to us.
I'll keep on playing Blind Man's Bluff.
I've gone to far to quit.
I'll go on because I believe in love-
Ready to commit.
