Black rose

In shadows deep, where secrets lie, A black rose blooms beneath the sky. Its petals dark as midnight's grace, A silent whisper, a haunting face.

No blush of dawn, no summer's glow, Just mystic depths where sorrows grow. Yet beauty lurks within the shade, A fragile strength, a quiet braid.

In the garden where the shadows creep,
there blooms a rose where death runs deep.
Velvet petals, midnight black,
kiss its thorns—you won’t come back.

It lures you in, it pulls you close,
whispers secrets no one knows.
Dripping poison, scent so sweet,
once you touch it, you’re complete...

growing where the cold wind blows.

There's a chance you live
If you have the chance to give
The love she deserve.

Peace seems like a once-written myth, now blurred from sight,  
like wrathful willows floating along sullen streams.  
There, stars linger to trace lost love in twilight’s grace,  
amidst the bitter cold wind roaring through the night.  
But is a black rose not a rose if kissed with warmth?

Black Rose Falls

half-a-face enclos’d in disharmony,
an anti-bliss b’low with blister’d stains.
breaths like steam, seal soak’d
in leather, adorn’d in porcelain.
a face his mother disdain’d.
his image as if twins, one perfect
the other dark soul’d, to the devil yet.

but Christine, lifting fear from her countenance,
braves to brace both palms against his cheeks.
they feel so warm, tender, soft.
they release true love

death rose
gothic mood
gallows bouquet
sweet scented aroma, grave companions
deep Mahogany, blood stains, velvet touch
doleful embers
charred petals
mournful
grief

The Black Rose In the Garden

I stand back and gaze across my wonderful garden, in bloom.
There it lies in the morning sun, with petals glistening from dew.

No one realizes the extent of my love for the rose.  As a former resident from Acadia, Maine, my husband and I sold all we possessed for a plot of land in Santa

A black rose once bloomed,
In a garden doomed,
To hear jeering laughter,
Slave of the white master,
Cry, for rose bushes have thorns,
Laugh, for there are roses on bushes of thorns,
White’s grown common, see the unique,
Make them belong that’s the trick,
Often abused, hurt and exploited,
Harshly spoken to, tactlessly treated,
These buds are not allowed to gloom,
Dipped often by birth

braided with stains of sterling;
Riddled with enormous thorns, 
to some a bit menacing;

dark and threaded with pain; 
Stained with the blood of raindrops, 
a short fuse tipped with lightning;

petals laced with shadows;

I have walked roads so wide
I have seen beauty held in pride
To be frank,
You’re beauty’s bank
Your body has a voice
That weakens my choice.
You’re a woman to fill my life
Someday, you will be my wife

For poverty
And too mature for puberty
Beauty and poverty can’t share a hand

Black Rose

I legit never knew the beauty black roses possess.
I stared at one day after day.
She looked like she didn't want to be bothered.
Still she'd look and stare.
She grew differently than the red ones.
Prepackaged, given to others in mass quantity.
She'd sit alone and read amongst herself.
With arched eyebrows and shapely dress.
Most were afraid of her thorns.

Black Rose

Black Rose was her name, 
a pirate ship of great fame,
she sailed the Cretan seas,
of turquoise blue, so un-tame,
crashing through the high waves,
sea air in our hair,
salt and rum on our tongue
singing songs old & young,
hell, it was great fun! 
our backs heated by the sun
on the ropey rigging we hung,
with sword and pistol gun,
deep

Black Rose

Although we were in two different places in our lives, we still made a connection.
Out of the flowers in the garden, you had the ability to shine to my recollection.
You have unique features that makes you incredible, worthy of my unlimited affection.
Your hues, your fullness, your brightness, your feel captivated me like an infection.
