This beautiful flag
has stood the the test of hard times,
this beautiful flag
waves with a grand elegant over vallies,
love it as your own mother, her embrace
is warmer that spring days!
Her wolves howl in the battering wind
to make themselves heard,
their energy is surely wasted;
true patriots fight for their country:
no voice is louder than liberty!
This beautiful flag was draped
by Betsy Ross, the patriotess,
her devotion was expressed eloquently;
her noble spirit is carved in history.
This beautiful flag is the pride
of every American and the ones
who yearn for a life of liberty!
Do you stand with those traitors,
or react to their madness?
Who swears allegiance to only one flag
is a son and daughter of this great land,
but that one who has no love
for America and its beauty
is far from a gentle dove;
he can never brag
about its glory
and appreciate its generosity
to exchange it for total loyalty!
Its the price soldiers pay
in a time of win and lose,
when an escape is not easy to choose;
stand with them and pray;
help them raise this beautiful flag!
Betsy Ross sewed the US flag with ease
Fellow countrymen were more or less pleased
A Scotsman stole her design
His wife sewed something so fine
Flags doubling as kilts ~ Waving in the breeze

THE DRILL
Arrive with boots. The march early or late.
The rose-fed cheeks. The eyes are green - new leaves.
The cadence call. No turning back. Blank slate.
New beginnings. In adventures, believes.
On the clothesline, strung together, the bras.
In the barracks, she-decorations hang.
The flag flies high. Painting of Betsy Ross.
Put together - this puzzle’s unlikely gang.
The coins bouncing. We ban undoing beds.
The quickest wash. The reveille’s real.
Back to the grind. Rote march from the beachheads.
Us she-sailors, we salute-shine…we heel.
We learn the drill - this camp is not playing.
We’re uniform - there’s no place for straying.

TURBO1904
Really? Where?
I still see them as fearful as fifty years ago.
To state any concerns about especially politics, and so.
Those fifty years ago when we wore little white gloves.
And batted our eyelashes like turtedoves.
And dared not utter a political thought....
For from my our husbands, our security was bought.
We have freedom now to slaughter our unborn at clinics.
We can wear pants and jeans and dress like men~
Pretending there is something chic in it?
Who are we just Betsy Ross?
Just to sew flags, keep our mouths shut and sit on garden moss!
What woman here will openly oppose abortion? (One, me)
That or you'd have to pay her much or face poetic extortion.
All the lantrenes and lovely shape poems we create.
Have ever, any, warned us that loss of our liberty is at stake?
So, given! A strong stance might douse your popularity.
And tarnish your chances forever to the owneer of a trophy be!
But a country under censorship is no way to live.
For our progeny's future, why the fear of a political missive?

The flag that Betsy Ross did sew
So very many years ago
Had 13 stars for 13 states,
A flag that someone famous hates.
It represents a time, he said,
When hatred reared its ugly head,
For slavery was underway
Within the nascent U.S.A.
When Nike put it on a shoe,
Believing that was cool to do,
Objections stopped them in their tracks
And they caved in to tweet attacks.
The sneaker won't be up for sale
For Nike thought it wise to bail
As history keeps marching toward
A place where truth can be ignored.
The irony of Nike's loss
Of course resides with Betsy Ross
For no one's proven for a fact
That Betsy sewed the flag they sacked.
old Betsy ross once fashioned a flag
from freedom's blood -n- crates of tea bags
the radical right snatched its meaning
the radical left branded it demeaning
now Betsy has stars stuffed up her a ss
To the Redcoats Betsy Ross lied.
“It is not a flag!” she decried.
“I'm due at a wedding
and all of this threading
will be a new gown for the bride!”
“But it isn't just one little dress,”
with nose growing she had to confess,
“A collection I've planned--
t'will sell big in the land--
at my discount stores, Ross Dress for Less”!
Revolutionary
Elements of our population
Back in 1776 broke with
England, and
Lacking finances and supplies,
Fired a shot heard 'round the world.
Launched a revolution
Against the government.
George Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, and others became REBELS.
Author's Note:
Betsy Ross sewed our FIRST Rebel flag.
If you condemn the leaders of the Confederacy and remove their monuments, remember that our country's Founding Fathers were also rebels and traitors in their day. Right or wrong, the Southern Confederacy was also made up of Americans who fought for their beliefs, just as the patriots of 1776. And if you believe that the Confederate flag represents slavery, remember it only existed for 5 years, while slavery existed under the Stars and Stripes for 75 years before 1861! Which is the REAL Rebel flag?
I wrote this for a contest on another site. I'm NOT trying to be controversial and do not have feelings one way or the other. Just stating fact. (politically incorrect or not, YOU CAN'T CHANGE HISTORY)

Rattling Others Cages
Suppose what you said, I were to renounce
Would on my person you start to pounce
And again another game begin to play
Which was called, "Trying to Get Own Way."
Actually, accordingly to my latest prediction
You surely will have produced much friction
And projected to end up in pretty poor shape
Without any doubt at all, lack any escape.
So if ship shape is way you want to be
Reality is our perfect American Society
Become educated and others do bother
Who you find related to a Family Father.
Heavens to Betsy Ross and God forbid
Was wondrous things that ancestors did
Part of pages of sages through the ages
Who thoroughly enjoy rattling others cages.
James Thesarious Horn
Retired Veteran and Poet
Betsy Ross of Colonial days
Could never imagine the ways
Our United States flag would be blessed
To fly on the Moon and Mount Everest.
Cabin in the woods.
There is a cabin in the woods.
All are broken down from stormy weather.
Holes in the roof so birds can fly in and out.
No door to shut the air out.
Broken windows from days gone by and a few stones from those that know.
Floors all dirty and boards all torn.
Who own this cabin in the woods.
See if it is a hunter or a slave or maybe even old Abe.
The cabin in the woods may hide stories of Jessie James.
Or it could bring the tail of Betsy Ross making the flag for good old George.
All we know is this cabin sits here in the woods
Rippled and flowing in the air
Laying all Her true colors to bare
A symbol to all, in this the land of the free
Having a very special part inside of me
From the days of Betsy Ross
So many times draped over such a somber loss
There in the morning and all day long
Reminding us to be proud for we are the strong
And as we place our hands over our hearts
Just one vision from so many parts
Giving Old Glory Her due
As She guides us through so much that is new
So as the crowd breaks out into cheer
It’s Old Glory that I am still holding dear
Holding back the tear in my eye
As She stands all alone against the crisp blue sky
