Best Wish Upon A Star Poems
I wish upon a star tonight to be where you are.
When you passed from this life you left a scar.
I remember kneeling by your bed each night as you slept.
You were sleeping like an angel but did not wake so I wept.
I would love to be where you are even if it would be for just a while.
There is an ache in my heart to see your blue eyes with your smile.
My love and devotion to you have always been forever strong.
I am still here stuck in this life, but I hope it will not be long.
I love you with all my heart and you were my life’s song.
I have missed you so much baby since you have been gone.
I look up to the sky tonight knowing you are far.
I am singing you an old love song with your guitar.
There are tears in my voice crackling as I sing your song.
I love you more, and I hope it's not going to be too long.

Oh shooting star so far above,
I'm wishing you to bring me love
If you choose to not grant this wish,
I'll settle for a strangers kiss
The Holidays approaching near,
My heart grows fonder, every year.
It's New Years Eve, I'm all alone,
in a club, wearing cheap cologne.
Someday I'll know these dreams come true,
it is my love, when I find you.
It's you I've waited for all my life.
Never once loosing hope inspite,
this lonely heart I pray survives.
Oh shooting star, please make things right.
I know you're out there, hear these words.
We'll dance real close and afterwards,
I'll thank the stars that brought me you,
and fix this lonely heart, I knew.
Oh shooting star so far above.
I'm wishing you to bring me love.
Now that you granted my one wish,
I'll settle for my new Loves Kiss.
Oh shooting star from far above,
I thank you, for bringing me love...
Credits: Please Come Home
For Christmas. Written by
Charles Brown in 1960. Sung
by Don Henley of the Eagles.
The song is about being alone
and lonely during Christmas
and Holidays.
Bells will be ringing this sad sad news
Oh what a Christmas to have the blues
My baby's gone I have no friends
To wish me greetings once again
Choir's will be singing "Silent Night"
Christmas Carols by candlelight
Please come home for Christmas
Please come home for Christmas
if not for Christmas by New Years
night.
Friends and relations send salutations
Sure as the stars shine above
But this is Christmas yes Christmas my Dear
Some time of the year to be with the one you love.
So won't you tell me you'll never more roam?
Christmas and New Years will find you home.
There be no more sorrow grief and pain
And I'll be happy, happy once again
Ooh there'll be no more sorrow, grief or pain
And I'll be happy Christmas once again
WISH UPON A STAR
eyes drawn upward —
like a candle on a cake
first birthday or too old
the lottery is billions upon billions
tickets bought
blowing dandelion seeds for surety
tremor of seedlings like flesh
burning your palm
wanting your death
one star stands out amidst the myriads
richer than all kings
waiting for the poor in spirit
to rejoice with open arms
while money strangles the sea
crushed and fluid plastic —
even the wisest heart pinched
the saint patiently waits
for the sweetest answer
placed in folded hands
and worn out knees
a Father smiles and grants
eternity and all the treasury
the inheritance overflows
a luckless star fizzles
the blessed one glows

I want to thank the both of you,
for all the things I could not do.
The great music, and theme you used,
and Special effects, superbly infused.
Ron's input was so clever and wise.
Maria's direction, was greatness applied!
So much appreciation in all you do.
This humble writer, thanks both of you.

On the night, of my twentieth year.
A shooting star, I saw very clear.
My wish was, said into the air.
A baby to love, either or, I don"t care.
Many years later, the wish all but forgotten.
Until, the night of his birth.
All the wait and worry, he was well worth.
Moonlight kissed his cheeks, as he first nursed.
Calm, comfortable, warm, and just fed.
I snuggled my newborn, in bed.
Stars from the window, were shinning above his head.
Nothing more beautiful, enough words, could never be said.
As I turned, for just, one more look.
My breath, was actually took.
A star exploded, as if the sky shook.
Definitely, something for the baby book.
Was I reminded, in a special way?
That my wish, had only been delayed.
A miracle, all the doctors say.
My baby boy, he was born today.
Mom loves you Cameron
Don't mess with anybody
And you'll be okay
From time to time I will write about lesson I've learned
And hopefully you'll learn from it
As I had wished that someone will do that for me
Anyway did you know that whatever measure
that you wish on somebody
is the measure you will get yourself?
If you wish bad, you will get bad
If you wish good, you will get good
It's not that I had wished ill on somebody
But just the thought is enough to send God
having me write this poem
Have I wished bad on somebody?
Let me see now
I am not a saint
But I think the few times I started
God was always the one to stop me in my track
Yes my friend
You cannot wish ill on anyone
As you know you don't have that authority
And you know you cannot make it happen anyway
(For those naughty ones out there)
But in turn it will be against you
We may say bad things
But unless we meant it
It does not have any repercussion against us
But once we mean it
It is a different story
That is why God always searches our heart
And see if we are true
True to the One who made us
True to the person He has made us to be
Luke 6:27-32 says "... Do good to those who hate you
Bless those who curse you..."
You got the idea
So don't turn around and wish something bad on them, okay?
It's a no no :)
Gone but not forgotten
You watch over all you loved
Life can be so rotten
Always in our hearts.
Sending subtle reminders
So that we don't forget
A drifting feather or ray of sun
Loved by all you met.
Fond memories,
Remembered forever,
Eternal light,
Delicate soul.
Gone but not forgotten
The star that never dwindles
The shooting star that shines like the purest gem
Life will never be the same

When you wish upon a star
Beware
God listens from a far.
God knows who you are.
God will hear
When you wish upon a star
Even if your not a regular
You will come in loud and clear.
God listens from a far.
This isn't bizarre
God does care.
When you wish upon a star
You leave a door a jar.
Leading you to some where.
God listens from a far
Even if your in Zanibar
Have no fear
When you wish upon a star
God listens from a far.
Upon my sorrow’s pillow tears fall soft,
yet gentle soothing dreams appear aloft
to fill my heart with promises of you,
and banish lonely thoughts so filled with blue.
I gaze up to the starry skies above.
Upon a shooting star I wish for love ~
to fill my heart with promises of you,
and banish lonely thoughts so filled with blue.
I gaze once more; the stars they seem to say:
"Love's wish fulfilled"; my heart knows you will stay!
Protected in your arms at last I know,
our love forever found will bloom and grow.

Wish upon a star
I made a wish upon a star
this evening in the sky
To send my love to where you are
as it goes shooting by
Then smiled as I watched it
through these winter skies depart
For soon I know the love I sent
will float upon your heart
The thing is were like starlight
Sometimes shimmering and not
The spark wasn't much
But I do still looking where was I?
From the distance or from a million miles
But I am just here at your side
Letting you know how much I'm glowing
and still believing were existing
Trials happens like I don't understand a thing
Because maybe
I still could catch you
Watch you and wishing
That these hearts are mending
That the two of us and the feelings we build in
Are still the same?
Now I am asking where am I?
If were like starlight,
I wish upon a star.
The two of us staring
At the stars in the sky
Making wishes on comets
And things that fly by
What will we be like?
Where will we live?
We will we both be successful?
Will we both take or give?

And go lead the band

My girlfriend and me
Make dreams upon stardust
At a quarter to three
We're out in the cornfield
In my old chevy truck
Planning out lifes direction
On a stroke of good luck

That's come down from afar
Or we may be there wishing
On some shooting star
Our future is waiting
There'll be tough times ahead
Meeting those expectations
We made in that truck bed

Why try to catch a falling star?
At best, it’s a foolhardy notion,
I rather stand in front of a car
Crawl up to the highest peak
Sail the seas and Atlantis I seek
And set the clock of fate in motion,
Or cower behind a lie, frail and meek
And drink myself silly in a bar!

One day I wished upon a star to send me a love from afar.
I wished for a love with bright red hair.
Hair as red as a bright winter fire.
I wished for him to have lips as juicy as strawberries and
eyes as brown as an autumn leaf that falls to the ground.
I wished for him to have a touch as gentle as a cool summer breeze,
I wanted him to knock me to my knees.
Little did I know I had already found my bow!
We danced and talked under that bright star I wished upon until the early dawn.
I was lucky to have the star that fateful night, for I found the love of my life that night!
My heart beats out loud,
So far he can't hear
All i want is one wish upon a star,
To be there,
To be near.
To look in his eyes,
And know that he's mine,
Because i promise you
We've got nothing but time.
But life's not like that
So i'll shed a tear,
Watch as he leaves me,
My love,
My dear.
Now look to the star's
The die has been cast
He's not my future,
Only my past.
