In Our Blindness, Chalked Up To Just Be Fate

Life, its complexity truly astounds
astounds this old soul so sadly earthbound
earthbound but not without imagined flight
flight into blue heavens's glimmering night.
Night of ill winds that beggars disbelief
disbelief of blindness that brings dark grief
grief of those lost, dying with no recourse
recourse from disease of war's killing force.
Force spilling blood, war's sad barbaric score
score of flesh and bones, as death demands more
more as heaping mounds of worthless refuse
refuse this world considers of no use!

Life, horrors often born of man's dark hate
Hate's dark blindness, chalked up to just be Fate!

Premium Member Now It's Up To You and I

We have the left; we have the right.
In the political arena they both fight.

Always claiming to be on our side,
With ferocious rhetoric, opponents they deride.

Vote for us, to be saved from a vicious clan’s
Reckless and dangerous life ending plan.

So now it’s up to you and I
To decide, who is right and who tells lies.

Now I don’t know what works for you.
I judge not what they say; rather what they do.

For talk is cheap and taxes ain’t.
I’m in support of fiscal restraint.

Now this is a fact for all posterity;
A nation can’t spend itself into prosperity.

Both sides know that this is true.
But look at what the charlatans do.

They simply make a language adjustment;
Government spending renamed as investment.

So now it’s up to you and I
To decide, who is right and who tells lies.

The finger of accusation is pointed;
As our nation becomes disjointed.

Now both sides in self-righteousness claim;
The other side is the one to blame.

I’m not sure how you deduce,
But I look at the fruit they produce.

Who supports phony investigations;
The sole evidence of their own making.

Who supports keeping people in places;
Dividing them up into different races.

Who believes they can legislate prosperity;
Ignoring all of human history.

Who believes it a proper choice;
To slay the unborn who have no voice.

So now it’s up to you and I
To decide, who is right and who tells lies.

Media acts in a partisan manner,
Thus, I ignore their constant clamor.

People throwing bombs and firing weapons;
The very definition of insurrection.

When people gather to show disgust.
That is what is defined as a protest.

There are few neutral voices.
Everyone is always spinning choices.

So now it’s up to you and I
To decide, who is right and who tells lies.

Premium Member We Look Up To the Sky

When I look up at the dusky sky each night
see silver stars which are shining bright
moonbeams sparkle on the sea
I feel so carefree.
velvet blue
we
wave adieu
because soon I’ll see
the sun rising above me
until nightfall brings me pure delight
when I look up at the dusky sky each night

If the ocean's water
were used as writing ink for pens
to write down our words of praise
the ocean would eventually dry up
before it might be put in writing.

evil will triumph
if the righteous remain silent
Inner defect causes blindness
success depends on action
stand up and do what
you realize is right

raise exertion level
a smidgeon suffices
to allow notions of impetus
you can then sleep well
your pick is akin to lacerations
requires precise timing
curious but uncertain.
blind attrition is pointless.

reach for stars
obtain an aerial view of the world
wave farewell to the land
live easily a prospective granted by
you are misusing beauty
greet the passing clouds.

forsake worries and avert your gaze
fear is a foe you must overcome
soar high and be wise.

Up To You

Feelings of euphoria, if even for just a day

feuilleton or stichomythia, words I can't even say

scoring the winning goal in the championship game

raising you up over their shoulders

basking in your thirty seconds of fame

Tomorrow will they remember your name?

That sunny summer afternoon by the lake

skipping stones watching the ripples float away

seeing her beautiful reflection bobbing in the waves

taking her hand as she took your breath away

how that seemed like just yesterday

Would she even remember your name?

The harvest moon shining brightly through the window

you squeezing my hand so very tight

the nurse wiping your brow

pain in your voice but a smile on your face

when the doctor handed you that little girl

How we decided on that perfect name.

Memories come and memories go

but how you will be remembered

is up to you

Had It Up To Here

I've had it up to here with rappers saying they have more bars than a prison
I'm sick of celebrities saying they're a bigger star than anything in the solar system
I'm tired of rappers saying their car is upset because the roof is missing
I no longer want to hear these punchlines that are average at best
That have Been overused, are there any original writers left?
I'm tired of people who use clickbait for views
I'm sick and tired of seeing a new headline of "Kim Kardashian has new Nudes"
Let me know when she wears clothes and it'll be a bigger shock
Every time a Kardashian posts a half naked Picture, take a liquor shot
And you'll be drunk and out of your mind before the hour
I'm sick of celebrities who brag about popping pills and taking white powder
Well done, you take drugs and are destroying your life, aren't you a genius?
I'm tired of the news posting stories at their own convenience
Rihanna's outfit is a bigger headline than what's happening in Palestine
I don't care about Beyonce and Jay-Z or any celebrity and their Valentine
Unless it's me dating Ariana Grande, tell her I'll love her forever
I went off topic to mention my dream girl for good measure
I'm tired of girls saying "I don't know" when you ask them where they want to eat
So you suggest places, then they say "not there" woman, choose now before I leave
I'm sick and tired of writers rhyming you with true aswell as Heart with apart
I listen to everything everyone says, take a few gems, the rest I disregard
I've had it up to here with new rappers calling themselves the New Tupac
I'm sick of the news and media who post stories but remove facts
Because they don't give a damn about the tragedy as long as they get paid
I'm tired of talentless people getting famous from leaking their sex tape
I'm tired of people saying they could care less when they mean they couldn't
I'm tired of couples breaking up and getting back together the next day
I'm done I've got nothing more to share
I'm just venting because I've had it up to here

Look Up To the Sky

Look up to the sky
Look up in the sky and what do you see?
Is it an airplane flying by me?
Look up to the sky what do you see?
Is it the sun shinning down on me?
Look up to the sky what do you see.
The moon is smiling down on you.
Look up to the sky what do you see.
The rain coming down on you and me.
Don't look now to the sky for birds are above.
And you don't know what will come down.

Premium Member In Honor of God

In "Honor of God" I will not be a White Racist,Black Racist,Red Racist,Yellow Racist,Brown Racist or practice Racism. God created us,Red,Yellow,Brown ,Black, and White, and we all are precious in his sight: I know that I am "NOT Wrong": I know I am right! "In "Honor of God" I will not be a "Racist"! In "dishonor of God the "Racist" functions,in the Church,in the Media,in the schools,in the police department,in the hospital,in the grave yard, and in many other places, and dishonors God by being a "Criminal by way of being a "Racist"!God has a unique ,and diverse "Creation",and that reality is factual ,and certain!! We see it right before our very eyes, and that makes us who are loving and kind very wise!! A "Racist'''' believes untrue lies that is embeded in their sick minds ,as they are fed lies through their "Eyes"!Unjustifiable Hatred is another name for a "Racist". It was a Sunday morning, and a sermon was being preached, and The Pastor was ready to teach:The Pastor got up and said:"IN HONOR OF GOD " MY CREATOR",I will not be a "RACIST". Eight people got up and left the church, and all eight of them seemed to be sick,as they stumbled out the door, and three of them fell to the floor. The Pastor of the church repeated his statement ,ans said:IN HONOR OF GOD WHO IS MY CREATOR I WILL NOT BE A RACIST OR PRACTICE RACISM. The Church said AMEN.

I Will Stand Up To My Golieths: No More Excuses

I will stand up to my golieths
no more excuses will I make
I will face down my circumstances
No matter what it takes

We are living in troubled times
hatred is abound
Mass killings has become a fad
Racism is on the rebound
We are facing our golieths
Life's challenges have been thrown down
We need to stand up, no more excuses
Its time to hold our ground

It matters not the weapons nor the words
Coming at you the Lord is on your side
Don't worry about the time nor the place
Your faith will protect your hide
Don't fret about what you see before you
Don't walk just by sight
Its time to face your fears
By walking in God's light
For the battle is not just yours
God is always in the mix
Be anxious over nothing
As there's nothing He can't fix

When the enemy comes at God's children
We Christians comprehend
We are not fighting the battle alone
Nor against mere men
Principalities seen and unseen
The Holy Spirit is in battle mode
As we stand up to our golieths
Its time to lock and load
God will always sustain us
He will have our backs
And no weapon formed against us
Can prosper nor distract

Walking by faith and not by sight
Knowing I am not alone in this fight
I now take up my mantle of leadership
Wielding not a sword but just my belief
I now stand up to my golieths
No more excuses and no defeat

I gripped-
the edge of the sail boat
sea spray soaked me
the shore-
   was far away
a huge wave took the boat high
up
  to
   the
     sky
then into the pit of the rushing sea
       frothing waves tipped the boat
on it's side over and again
violently but it did not go under
       the deep blue sea
                 loud thundering
the boat leapt and fell wildly
I had this
           sinking
               sinking
                   feeling
then the wind took the sail-
and we headed at breakneck speed
for land
with the wind in my hair
and sea salt on my lips
                           the roar of the sea
and the blazing sun at my back

Premium Member Rise Up To the Son

I was walking in the sunshine
With nothing on my mind
Searching through the memories
Trying real hard to find
To find that certain memory
Buried underneath the dust
Then I heard myself say
"In you lord I trust"
I felt a certain comfort
I had never felt before
As I became in tune
With what it is all for
Each new day is a journey
Waiting to become a memory
Through our lives they come and go
Like building blocks you see
We start at the bottom
Then build our way up
If it was never empty
No need to fill the cup
Once the cup is full
The building is all done
We fulfill our destiny
And rise up to the Son

When Our First Kiss Up To The Heavens Soared

When our first kiss up to the heavens soared,
An ardent passion swirled around the air.
With no sense of time—neither here, nor there—
A bond was formed, and faith in love restored.
With the kind permission of the good Lord,
Our lips softly met with the upmost care.
I gently ran my fingers through your hair
To ensure you felt treasured and adored.
As we held each other in our embrace,
Our frames began to feel dizzy and weak—
We felt the work of a higher power.
Once we separated, I touched your face,
Running my hand down the side of your cheek—
Your warm skin felt tender as a flower.
         Making sadness cower,
Our eternal love then began showing—
And both of our faces kept on glowing.
         We parted, both knowing
The night can be cold in so many ways—
But the warmth of our kiss lasted for days.

Premium Member Big Words, Small Words Its Really Up To Her

She wasn't a learned woman per se or so I was told,
by the air that surrounded her late in the eve as she talked away;
Its as if she plucked it from the time belt of knowledge,
Nostradamus style, I would say:
Sometimes she addressed Kings & Queens, other times paupers and cats
she wrote like she tasted her words, rolled them around on her tongue,
but other times she blew them through you like wind, sifting through a kite.
Scattered reckless like a hungry seagull, carving a morsel only to die for her trade.
She was water going round a solid rock always turning,
rearranging herself to please everyone and no one.
She suffered no fools except for the man who placed his palms around her,
shaping her like a piece of wet clay.
Playing nice in a world of pipers and mutes, she was a diamond in the rough;
He once told her there was a woman called Helen who made millions,
hosting a show on the tele, she didn't even have a high school degree.
He knew the scattered wild garden she tilled, yes she was a beautiful mess,
one that reminded him of a he, of long ago.
She was a woman with big words and small, who wrote for animals,
humans, aliens, Neanderthals, scientists, priests, and flowers.
She was both the flame and the match, always ready to strike.

A Verse by Eve Roper and James E Lee Sr- ALL CHILDREN OF GOD-IT’S UP TO US TO LOVE-

"Thank you”, Father
For the Children, all children
Oh! Lord
"Thank you”, God
For the their lives, all children
Oh! Lord

And God.. It’s up to us
 To love, teach and model
What is good God bless the little ones..

Oh! Jesus it’s you whom are a true role-model
It’s neither those peers nor pressures of this world
And My Lord it’s you that we should follow
Not man, not my earthy father or mother

Oh! Jesus you, teach and model and take care
It’s you whose the true and the light that shines here..
It is good, you are good God bless
As we do thank you for those little ones..

We’re all children of God.. it's up to us to love, teach and model what is good

"Thank you”, God
For the their lives, all children
Oh! Lord"

Letters Grow Up To Be Words

"Words are just letters,
Pasted together

Their individual sound makes no sense
But formed together they are heaven sent

Giving each letter a voice,
It’s message our choice

As we chose letters to fit,
To form the words of our script

Expressing what is in us,
Framing moments we can trust

To explain feelings within,
And to know where to begin

Today or tomorrow,
Be it joy or sorrows

Picking letters that explain,
Feelings of happiness or pain

Understanding that the “u” and “I”,
Always determines the “why”

Of moments and events,
That each day presents."
