In Our Blindness, Chalked Up To Just Be Fate

In Our Blindness, Chalked Up To Just Be Fate Life, its complexity truly astounds astounds this old soul so sadly earthbound earthbound but not without imagined flight flight into blue heavens's glimmering night. Night of ill winds that beggars disbelief disbelief of blindness that brings dark grief grief of those lost, dying with no recourse recourse from disease of war's killing force. Force spilling blood, war's sad barbaric score score of flesh and bones, as death demands more more as heaping mounds of worthless refuse refuse this world considers of no use! Life, horrors often born of man's dark hate Hate's dark blindness, chalked up to just be Fate! Robert J. Excellent, excellent work Robert. There is too much hatred in this world. Things can never change for the better while things are, as they are. One day, we have to realise that only together, as one, do we survive. As always, Robert, your words bring their message home. Never heard of this kind of sonnet. I love the concept and the content of this write. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Your friend always....Mike. A Fave

Thank you my friend. Sad that within mankind in its fallen state, are those inner chains with links made of dark hate... Writing a chained sonnet is actually fun.......

Robert, this is a new form for me too. Your sonnet is thought-provoking, and I really appreciate the additional information concerning the form. Brilliant! ~Mark

Thank you my friend. I think to give as much information as is possible when presenting my poems. Especially if written in new form or else a rarely seen form. God bless.

An excellent sonnet as always and your subject is true, what an awful world we live in... so much hatred and evil... but there are also some very good people and good things that go on in the world...

Thank you my friend. Yes, such is the truth--there are many very kind and good people in this world, but wickedness also rages across its realms, as an evil beast, seeking to kill and devour its victims and primarily targeting the innocent in the process, imho. God bless....

Fantastic chain Sonnet, Robert! ( I must give this one a try- I've written a chain poem before- but much shorter lines, and longer tgan a sonnet...takes some doing! And your thoughts on the horrors of war, and the useless waste of human life, being chalked up to fate, are close to my heart- War never made sense to me as a child...Excellent write! Fav this one. (((Hugs)))

Thank you my friend. I hope that you give it a try and find you truly enjoy the creative process. I know that I did and the resulting poem to me was well worth the time and heartfelt renderings that went into it.

There is way too much hate in the world. Even by those who stand behind the book that teaches love. Wonderful Robert

Thank you my friend. Many are the pretenders that hide behind that book, to work their evil ways and profit by such wicked deceptions. Far too many are being-- "taught"-- to hate in this modern and getting darker every day world. God bless....
