The Build UP

One two…I want you
Three four...Kiss me more
Five six…tasty licks
Seven eight…I can’t wait
Nine ten…Come again!

The Cool Down? ;)

Ten, nine…that was fine
Eight, seven…still in heaven
Six, five….I feel alive
Four, three…more for me
Two, one…I’m undone!

The Chocolate Twist

A bakery on each corner
I remember in my youth
As Cinnamon floats on air
En route to my sweet tooth

The double dip of honey
On a ring of dough and glaze
Could summon my direction
Through a concrete city maze

Glass displayed the treasure
Of powdered edible jewels
Flavors beyond measure
Consumed my walks to school

One thing I’ll remember
As long as I exist
The sweet, braided confection
Of my favorite, the Chocolate Twist

Winter days are cold and gray while summer’s warm and bright.
Snow covered mountain tops melt away when the time is right.
Pouring rains and hurricanes will stir up now and then.
Storms appear from year to year no less than dear old friends.

                                       Refrain:
All the good and bad and sweet and sad pass by us every one;
all the lows and highs and tear filled eyes and races still not run.
All the gentleness and sweet success and love along the way,
everything we’ve learned every twist and turn
every moment of each day.

Guitar songs and things we long for growing up too fast;
rocket dreams and what it means to let go of the past.
Picking, choosing, winning, losing, walking in the rain;
home run balls and strike-out calls are how we play the game.

                                      Refrain:
All the good and bad and sweet and sad pass by us every one;
all the lows and highs and tear filled eyes and races still not run.
All the gentleness and sweet success and love along the way,
everything we’ve learned every twist and turn
every moment of each day.

Early morning rise and shine the sky is painted bright;
so many hues for me and you to make us feel all right.
‘Till the end of day as sunshine fades and darkness closes in;
we say our prayers to God somewhere wondering
where does this life end.

                                      Refrain:
All the good and bad and sweet and sad pass by us every one;
all the lows and highs and tear filled eyes and races still not run.
All the gentleness and sweet success and love along the way,
everything we’ve learned every twist and turn
every moment of each day.

All the gentleness and sweet success and love along the way,
everything we’ve learned every twist and turn
every moment of each day.

Unexpected Twist

Silence shutters in through the fresh air
streaked windows painted in despair
star struck visions seek the light
hidden inside the distant night
-----------------------------
Smoke-filled eyes blink
gasps trying to think
a whisper heard
no just a bird
-------------
so missed
a twist
sighs
why

Oh those muddled webs some weave

When folks get more than we perceive

While truth hoards dust upon the shelves

The gears enmesh to grease themselves

Such myst'ries are left to dear Bo Peep

How some 'round here e'er get to sleep.

Premium Member Life Is Full of Twist, Turns and Unexpected Things

Life is full of twist and turns they start from the day we are born. When we are born
there is a lot we don’t know. But the older we get the more are knowledge grows. Life
is full of twist and turns so many I don’t know what to do but let’s hope we learn from
our mistakes. Life is full of twist and turns we never know what tomorrow will bring. Life
is full of twist and turns I can’t answer all the whys in life but if we worry about that it
might bring are demise. Life is full of twist and turns you cut your wrist because at life
you got pissed it can really put you to the test. So let’s give it a rest instead of
spending all of our life competing with the rest. Life is full of twist and turns some will
never understand what their purpose is here in this world. Life is full of twist and turns
happy you may seem but deep down inside you want to scream. Life is full of twist and
turns you go to sleep and have a dream then wake up and see nothing. Life is full of
twist and turns you go to lunch and want chicken but are served stake. Life is full of
twist and turns you get ready for a date and they don’t show. You call them up to ask
them why but it hurts so bad you just want to cry. Life is full of twist and turns I hope
by now that you have learned if not you will get burned because life is full of many twist
and turns and unexpected things.

Vaccines are all carefully made
To fight what should make us afraid
Some hate the syringe
And now they should cringe
As hosts the bad germs could invade

Premium Member New Twist On An Old Saying

Just as it is said that power corrupts, so does the lack of it, possibly, which may also just destroy, if it does not corrupt first, or even if it does. let us hope for the best or at least better. this world needs a lot better.

Oliver Twist

Good people at better point won't rest,
Better people want, always the best,
Every where,I want some more request,
This world is like Oliver Twist!

Sick Twist

(Talking to the mirror)
I done just about had enough of you,
I know what's coming next,
so get it over with quick, will you
I'm not giving up my lunch money again,
and no more of your homework gets done by me
Today is my personal holiday,
starting today, I'm living bully-free

(Down at the schoolyard)
Ain't got nothing for you today,
aw, you don't like the sound of my words
Them days are over and through,
so give me what bullies love to give nerds
I don't mind that you're a girl,
and that you got things at home troubling you
You look so mean when your cheeks turn red,
now go on and do what you gotta do

Ball up your fists, and be the sick twist
everybody say you are,
and give me the beating your daddy gave you
Are you ready to give me a knuckle kiss,
you're itching to so far,
give me the same puffy lips your mama gave you too

Aw, I hurt your feelings ...
remember now, bullies don't cry
Just gonna have to keep it all in,
and tell yourself over and over the same lie
That your parents love you,
they just show it in a different way
That they're gonna treat you better
when you get well one day they say

But this ain't about you,
today is my holiday
I'm no longer your whipping boy ...
now are we gonna fight,
or are we gonna play

Look, I wanna be your friend,
help you deal with the pain in your life
I can see you're twisting in the wind,
ain't nobody ever treated you nice
So you can stay a bully if you want to,
but your days of beating on me are through ...
I don't believe you're a sick twist,
I may be wrong
Or else why did you swing your fist just now,
and purposely miss?

Trip Twist

In the void, sipping the zoid,
with mental properties of tripping on the spiral.
Falling down the tail of lions, awkwardly spinning.
With upside down tunnel vision leaking through.

Solidifying all matter that matters,
melting into the walls of your brain.
It tickles all the raindrops dripping in your eyes,
satisfying your desire of a synchronized pattern.

Bleeding purple from the rainbow,
and turning into swirls of diamonds.
Slipping exuberantly beside you; driving you wild.
Where the shadows stop the spirited scream.

Devour yourself into the omniscient grip.
Icy cold finger tips scratch the surface of your divinity,
bringing you closer to the God who whispered in your unborn ear,
situated in your flesh from birth to death.

It embeds itself in the pupil of your eye,
dancing with your spirit and licking your soul.
Black shapes of madness wrapped in chaos and euphoria.
Twinkling and blinking dust of a cloud.

Haze filled skies and blood filled smoke raining from the clouds.
Envisions of clowns and demons laughing at our demise.
Chilling sensations of sickening mannerisms,
mechanisms and mechanics sought out to destroy the tiny creatures.

These creatures running crazy into acceptance of demise.
Deprived of life, scared of death but giving into it's taste.
Taste buds quiver as the taste grows sweeter.
Death, oh death, tell everyone who you really are...

Too long have you been hidden in the shadows you cast,
too long have we rendered your pain.
The world grows sicker as the hairs in my head grey.
I'll never surrender as demons always circle.

Today, begins a new day of our fight.
And I have a good feeling about this day.
Onward, we have united our minds and gathered ourselves within.
Always ready for we accept our fear.

We accept our hate and everything in between.
Accept it all for what it really is.
No amount of doubts will over throw us.
Onward, to peace.

Beam and Twist

Kind refreshing words,
like a soothing balm on wound,
make my long face beam.

sharp piercing words,
like great Esimuda's sword
twist my face to frown.

Esimuda was a legendary figure in my tribe's folktale. He was a warrior with a sharp two-edged sword.

Premium Member A Twist To Robin Hood and His Men Wear Green Spandex

The ground was blanketed with fallen leaves
that crunched under their feet as they ducked
into the bushes and secluded spots behind thick trees
The forest was their domain the comforts of life
as fugitives in hiding they could survive,
it beat capture and torture.

Emerging on the path came eight horses
with their riders trotting into view
Robin Hood and the others emerged from hiding
knowing they will not be eager to surrender

As the sun starts melting into the horizon bringing in the twilight
Robin Hood and his men knew they were in danger

Why did he feel like he was totally kidding himself?

Jumbling and stumbling they start to dwarf
Their voices had evolved from bass and baritones to tenors
Avoiding getting caught they all backed away and scattered
Bidding the riders farewell, then departing

A Twist In Time

As I stand here in front of my closet , starring in to the space...
I wonder which black dress to choose, and how I am going to face..
All the guests that will be there , at your final resting place...
I look in the mirror and what do I see ?
But cuts and scratches all over me...
Although I don’t feel any physical pain...
Oh, what’s that I hear ?..could it be rain ?
I miss you already...what went wrong ?..
We were driving along just listening to our favorite song...
I remember the curve on that old mountain road...
And then heard the train crash... and then explode...
Time to go called out my Mother...
It was a cold November morning, and very heavy rain...
And I swear I heard the whistle of a train...
As I looked around I could see...
So many friends and family...
Standing in the crowd was Aunt Sarah and Uncle Fred...
OMG ! I thought they were dead...
And there’s dear old Michael...
I had heard he crashed his motorcycle...
All of a sudden I saw YOU stand...
With a bright red rose, you held in your hand...
What are you doing I wanted to shout...
But then I realized what you were about...
You dropped the rose upon MY grave...
It was then I realized You were the one that was saved...
