The Twist of the Needle

Vaccines are all carefully made
To fight what should make us afraid
Some hate the syringe
And now they should cringe
As hosts the bad germs could invade

Thank you, Duke, for the comment on my latest :) I don't mind your OCD comment. Made me smile and by the looks of it, you enjoy making others smile. Well, I better go, before I get poked by the needles left unattended on this page. LOLOLOL :) I'm immune to everything, no twisting the syringe today. Super enjoyed.@-> LINDA <-@

Love your limericks always, Duke. Vaccinations are important. Especially if you want to travel, which I do. My parents didn't give us vaccinations till my oldest brother was a teen. Always had problems with the schools. I told the doctor, stick a needle in me, I don't care. I was so brave, I got a lollipop. Love ya Duke! Always, Laura

Vaccinations actually protect more than just us. There are some immune compromised individuals that can't be vaccinated, but if the rest of us are, then their chance of getting sick is much reduced. The research says its OK, although your parents probably thought they were keeping you safe.

I am actually much better than I used to be Duke - I always get them to let me lie down and I eat a sweet or chocolate when they do a blood test - last 3 blood tests I've had no problem at all:-) Hugs Jan xx - I did write a poem called the vampire nurse lol:-)

Jan, I hope you have all your vaccinations! Some people have taken their fear to an extreme. By the way, a needle penetrates a sponge much easier than a block of wood. Relaxed muscle makes this much easier and less painful.
