Life On The Inside

As the trees whisper words of wisdom,
The wolf lies below and howls,
To the Raven high in branches above,
Their spirits entwined beyond the visible

raven caws from the highest tree
bringing news of the territory
beneath laddered branches green
wolf listens patiently, ready

Across the meadows' silent in night
A lone white owl hunts her prey
The mouse scurries below in crystal snow
No escape for him from her deadly array

Arrow straight, towering tall
with soft evergreen leaves
shelter fur and lofty feather
time tested, giving life to all

See with divine light
Shine on brightly the way
Learn through divine knowledge
Be quiet not, have your say

Larger-Than-Life Love

Larger-than-life love
Is truly time-tested one;
It comes when least expected,
As the other is easily gone.

True love lasts a lifetime,
Found in one's good heart;
Two people are both in love,
Yes, till death do they part.

The lovers' common vow
Is to promote each other's cause;
The solemn promise they fulfill
Non-stop, without pause.

Each time they bond together
Is something so especial;
Letting the friendship grow
Is indeed exceptional.

You can't count the blessings
Like the billion stars above;
They enjoy them gladly
With larger-than-life love.

The Physics of Sunshine

The Physics of Sunshine

And I'm finding it hard to break through and tell you
About the physics of sunshine
And when it's all over we may find ourselves together singing out of tune
About the wishing wells and spells softly spoken in the dark

In an electric arc of promised carousel rides, candy thoughts, and whispers of coastlines
Explored and undone petals washed in rays of time and history
I'm finding it hard to explain to you
All that is misunderstood

The sunshine is warm and the particles they spin
In and out of existence
Oh, though I find myself lost within the entropic withering energy of now
Without the physics and the lyrics of sunshine cast
I could never lay these particles into you

I'm with you on this deserted but scarred terrain
Dancing with the theories of existence all entwined
In our glass of wine and our lips locked around the mirrors
Of today, colored with the existence of tomorrow

And I see you in my dreams
Often in the sunshine you are singing
Often in the darkness you are clinging to my t-shirt
And tugging at my heart through my jeans

Even in the sunshine I'm lost without you
And though gravity holds me here
The spin of our destiny still needs to be tied with string
My love inflated – bound within this universe

My heart and fear are now time tested
And now it is into the sunshine of another place parallel to our own
Whether in this dimension or the next one over
I'm tied to you fast forward or rewind
Our love will always be alive

Premium Member Woven In Silk Threads of Love

Woven in Silk Threads of Love
(Apropos Us and the Children)

Time tested love, bruised
and battered,
lay like littered crystals
on the steel plate stage of life;
dismembered and crumbled
like a stale cookie
whose particles
have lost
their electromagnetic-like
attractiveness.

Ingredients of envious spice
inhibits any and all adhesiveness—
that tough threading love folds and kneads.

Yet, the sprinkling of forgiveness
knits and weaves the web
of diverse unity of understanding—
                          cocooning new beginnings:

Indeed, the most fragile butterfly wings
have endured—soared in monarch majesty—
defying time tested, treacherous winds
that the teeming silk of love forever spins.

Yes, to err is human; to forgive divine;
may eternal blessings forever twine
this tender love of yours and mine.

Smug little faces
Oily little faces
Sunday best clad
Little children
Listen to the old
Time tested
Tired preacher
Accepting it all
They have trouble
Thou swallowing
Accepting he had
To be nailed for
Their petty little sin

Kudos To Barack Obama

yea tis history - that end gin shelled a mesh by mit Romney wailin
such below figurative belt mortar attack subterfuge and constant railin
per accusations hurled at barack Obama presidential campaign
lobbed like scud missile grenades from invisible hand no longer m palin
in comparison and hence moot point for republicans to gain
so this joe of a voter re-fused 2 bide time 2 prevent candidate from failin
app laud clinched 2nd term deserved and occupy white house seat a gain
intent i wanna talia 2 acknowledge salient tactics to boost usa now ailin
sasha bravado blasting and gunning futile fusillades
which questionable oppositional stealth indiscriminately fired pell mell
to discredit supreme commander in chief an exemplary persona in the main
such desperate toothless and nail biting tactics
replete with political retaliatory slanderous stockpile bombardment
but rather, he opts to build fracking rainbow coal bridges 2 somewhere
over the rainbow toward future with his omnipotent time tested girders
of righteousness and gravitas quite simple and plain
casting confidence that the democrats rank as the robust strongest train
eclipsing her livid burst of 15 minutes fame that briefly wax than wane!

Belief and Faith Promotes

Some persons wanted Him to be killed
Others planned to tie Him up or to expel
Plans of polytheists of Ka’bah, He was revealed
He moved to Medina, with a mission to propel

Besiegers followed Him, to track
Tracking led them unto a cave
Searched with vengeance, to unleash a brutal attack
It was God’s unyielding kindness that came to save

Surprising to see was a spider’s web, engulfing the entrance
Cave’s entrance was also covered by an acacia tree
And a pigeon with eggs over her nest, in penance
All happened at once, as per Allah’s decree

Cave gave impression, as if never was visited by anyone
And also that none could have ever entered inside
Thus trackers driven to disregard the holy cave and gone
Though the Holy Prophet Muhammad stayed with aide

From the imminent danger, He was just a wall away
With Him withstood was the will of the ultimate
Later led to His landmark migration, on Allah’s way
From Mecca to Medina, with an assignment to actuate

Blessings put Him as the Prophet of God, universally
His move to Medina marks the beginning of Islamic calendar
He was blessed to found the Islam religion, immortally
In the Islamic theology, there is none to stand with Him at par

He is the ever ‘Glorified one’
Being the ‘chosen one’ He got God’s intimacy
With ‘words of the God’ He compiled the Holy Qur’an
In the everyday Islamic life, He is the living legacy

Fate of any person shall surely change
Like an ordinary merchant becoming ‘Apostle of the God’
Absolutely beyond an imaginable range
All happened as God gave His nod!

The mentioned miracles are not magic
They confirm how abundant was His blessing!
None can contest this, using logic
As His mission too succeeded beyond guessing!

This confirms, everything stays at God’s will
Anything can happen if God is pleased to destine
God is beyond scientific drill
Also with logic, you can’t discover the divine

Rather belief and faith promotes you to reach
Steady surrender to Him shows the path
Life of Prophet Muhammad, leads to teach
Of course! This is a time tested truth!

Premium Member Of Daughters and Aborted Liberties

Of Daughters and Aborted Liberties…
My ravished womb drips
precious blood of incestuous rape;
the ghosts of my daughters scream
from shared graves
marked with vaginal blood
shed by sons drunk
on the wine of intoxicating power.

Mislead adolescent warriors
fan holocaust embers
scorching time tested hopes
gone to ashes
as death winds strike chimes
of ebony genocide;
and the cradle and the grave
stand juxtaposed to each other.

My desperate screams
reverberate off once listening ears
and ricochet into the void silence
of a newsworthy footnote:
caught in the cobwebs of history
my aborted blood of liberty flows
like the meandering Nile.

Premium Member Pongal - South Indian Harvest Festival

the paddy fields are ready to be harvested,
green crops sparkle freshened by clear early dew,
water lilts its way through channels time tested,
first of South Indian harvests, brings hopes new!

the time of the year that sees a weather shift,
Sun in its northern ride moves to Capricorn,
ushers an yield of plenty and nature’s gift,
cheer grows in the village as the year is born!

far further afield swinging in the warm breeze,
stand tall succulent crops of sweet sugar canes,
cultivated in rich soil they grow with ease,
watered by the monsoons of previous rains!

the farmers have a special joy in their walk,
God gives in plenty when one has worked so hard,
bags of different lentils they load and chalk,
time to celebrate! festivities on card!

14th January Pongal is celebrated,
where everything harvested makes a special meal,
rice, lentils boiled and with black pepper grated,
jaggery from sugar cane is tasty deal!

women wear bright coloured silk with gold jewels,
men are dressed in clean whites for the festive day,
children fly kites, anointed cattle wear new bells,
celebration of Pongal cheers all the way!!

Scapegoat

A time tested honor
to be branded a goner,
just stand in the middle
of their circle of blame.
In this sex-crazed society
still obsessed with propriety,
it is you they'll belittle
to protect their good name.

The Wheels of Peace

THE WHEELS OF PEACE

Rock hard massive glacier gigantic
Under the clout of heat it melts it flows
Resists not though inner strength titanic
Fully into ocean crushed out it goes
Chose to stay only in the heart that loved
And in memories of mind that cherished
Tenet of willful sacrifice behoved
Altruistic submission so flourished
As you in my life’s canvas tried to paint
I let you scramble with bad strokes of dark
No blame suffered in silence all your taint
Stars mute in sky and me a voiceless lark
To win or to lose part of every game
Time tested victors are never the same!

Villanelle: The Fake or the Phoney thrive only on blatant envy

The Fake or the Phoney thrive only on blatant envy
Who’ll stoop to any level to scuttle the imagined rival
Smiles drawn tight on faces sullen with conspiracy

Yin’s motivating force lies in usurping Yang’s glory
Drives it to ape and rob the Yang for supposed survival
The Fake or the Phoney thrive only on blatant envy

In scarce genuine values world the spurious spawn many
Few who strive for what endures bypass not the ephemeral
Smiles drawn tight on faces sullen with conspiracy

Cryptomaniacs control art subsumed into personality
Accidental uses of material rate neither as error nor trial
The Fake or the Phoney thrive only on blatant envy

The Spurious clamour with the public for easy bounty
Even time-tested concepts and ideas hardly prove original
Smiles drawn tight on faces sullen with conspiracy

Envy turns the sprocket chains of fortune for the many
Who just skip and dance and hoot till the final upheaval
The Fake or the Phoney thrive only on blatant envy
Smiles drawn tight on faces sullen with conspiracy

Tick Toc

Tick tock, tick tock, tick, time ticks tirelessly, tick.
Tricking trance’ers, testing too.
Touching tenderly, thoughts, tick.
Takes time to think, take time, tick.
Try to transcend to the tested table tops.
Tinker, tickle, take the time-tested transitions,
Transcribed testimonials, tear touched, the trials,
Tribulations, telling tales, traditions, trepidations.
Treacherous, the track, turns to terror, tripping traps,
Taking time, the torture, the terseness,
The time taken, time the teacher, taunting.
Takes time to think, to thwart this teasing
Time taker, tick-tocking, tick-tocking.
Troubling, twisting thoughts that truth testified,
Tangible the ticker, to touch, to trash, tick tock,
Tick toc… trashed!

Anchors Aweigh Destination Unknown

Anchors Aweigh...Destination Unknown

Weather beaten cap'n,
     and watertight bewitched craft
time tested since maiden voyage
     (circumnavigating the globe
back in the day
of my youth),
I ranked tough as a pitbull,
     when severely pitted

     against raw elements
     of swiftly tailored,
     harried stylish nature
     against leathery faced
     reptilian skin, hard drinking
(actually as corked
poetic convenience - vermouth
arbitrary bottle of choice

     if for no other reason,
     than to rhyme
     with the above line),
and tobacco spitting, while

colorfully swearing as an uncouth
Furies (of Agamemnon) fighting (tooth
     and nail) Pirate,
     where rickets, scurvy,
and thrice unconscious,
currently ample proof
could not forsooth
bring me to

     Davy Jones's locker,
     cuz I never wanna
get relegated to an underwater
whale schooled booth,
this raconteur can nonchalantly,
glibly, and blithely attest,
with braggadocio, despite
no warm welcome will

     ever greet mine tinnitus
     pained ears, I can plainly
imagine acrimonious retort
upon me behest
his far more'n lifetime
bobbing (like a sponge)
buoyed atop crest
longing e'en for

     (carping, caviling, hen pecking,
     or shrewish) wife,
     and loving family
forsaken, sans living
antisocial upon briny deep divest
many opportunities to
experience wedded, webbed
and whirled bliss,

and hence for everest
as bachelor, especially
     at present junction
     of twilight years,
     my crude manners
makes foreign (for
an) ill suited guest
boot e'en if yours truly

became inured to life on land,
(as a "FAKE" father figure
feathering his nest
my coarse behavior, as basic
electric koolaid acid test
     would force even

the most tolerant proprietor,
perhaps a bank
manager at Univest
would utter VAMOOSE,
     e'en if eye covered up
my heavily pierced,
and tattooed breast.
