Moon Swoon

There once was a dinosaur who lived on the moon.
He met a cute alien and started to swoon.
The dinosaur blew her a kiss
And asked "what's your name, miss?"
But little miss alien had to leave soon.

She turned around and fell into a crater,
So the dinosaur went to save her
But when he peeked into the hole,
He himself started to roll.
In here, his chances of love were greater.

Although it was dark,
He felt a romantic spark,
But alas, little miss alien was gone,
which left the dinosaur withdrawn.
"I'll never find love on the moon," he liked to remark.

Not Even Death Could Swoon Him

Living to love?
Stab me swiftly
In the heart. Where
He watches as its
Red empties
Itself.

The meat tastes like pity.
So he smiles at me with pity,
Holds my hand with pity.
I am his,
In pity.

Enough.

A past perpetuating pity
Has no future for a love.
Remove His scythe.
And the fool, one day, will restore
Until I hurt for his love, once more.

Swoon By the Light of the Moon

Moonlight and bright eyes caress
Hands sizzle when they touch
A gaze says so much not less
Sweet words and lies are icing as such
Heartstrings sing on a right hunch

Limerick : Once a tight Tycoon fell in a swoon

Once a tight Tycoon fell in a swoon
Having slapped a Goon during typhoon
Both his hands got twisted
Behind his back instead
Since Goon spits into Tycoon’s spittoon.

Premium Member How To Make Your Woman Swoon

So your sweetheart seems to be less amorous these days?
Show her some attention, but for some added bliss,
know her and what makes her tick. All you’ve got to do is
go back to the basics. Did you ever think of this?

Pay attention while I give some good advice to you!
Play romantic music. Lead her underneath the moon.
Sway with her so gently. Then gaze into her eyes.
Say what’s in your heart but sweetly. . . She’ll be sure to swoon!

(This is Lento poem; I discovered too late that for the contest, it had to be based
on a theme of summer or rain!! But oh, well!! This was my practice)

Will I Still Make You Swoon

WILL I STILL MAKE YOU SWOON

We walked hand in hand,
On a crisp autumn eve.
...Both gazing up
At the pretty colored leaves.
.
Though we had only met
Just a short time ago.
I was struck by an arrow
shot from Cupids bow.
.
I was not looking
For a long time love affair.
Had my turn at failure.
Felt again I would not dare.
.
Seems that the same words
Came rolling off your tongue.
Said you were hurt before
When you were very young.
.
Said you were leery
Of anyone you meet.
Then you lifted up my spirits
When you said "I'm kinda neat"
.
Asked if you would like
To have a warm cup of tea?
When you said yes,
Surprised the heck out of me.
.
You had the green tea,
And I ordered black.
The things one remembers
As your mind wanders back.
.
Well we've been together
Now so many years .
Had so much happiness
Yes, and even shed some tears.
.
But I still can see
That twinkle in your eye.
And I still get excited
When I hear your sigh.
.
So how about a walk?
For it’s a crisp afternoon.
When I whisper that I love you.
Will I still make you swoon?

Premium Member Ladies Swoon

Man does everything with a flair
Even the way he combs his hair
Always charming so debonair
Man does everything with a flair

Ladies swoon and faint away
A simple smile makes them sway
Bitten and smitten in every way
Ladies swoon and faint away

Man does everything with a flair
Feelings of love, of devil may care
But real men are just teddy bears
Man does everything with a flair

Ladies swoon and faint away
Cajoled, sweet talked to every day
Sometimes we lie, what can I say
Ladies swoon and faint away

I Swoon In Spring-My 200th

I Swoon In Spring-My 200th
By Rick Rucker

I hide all Winter long,
The lack of Light does give me gloom,
My desire to see my Love is still strong,
But I am Alone in my room,
Feeling that it is my tomb,

While I try with all my Might,
I cannot shake the pall,
Caused by the Lonely night,
I really want to do it all,
To attend, outside, a Costume Ball,

But that will have to wait,
For my favorite season,
The one that lets me tempt my Fate,
With my New Love, as the reason,
The one when the World stops freezin’

I hear a bird that does sing,
And he is in the strongest Light,
I will take the Promise Ring,
And will give it to Her, without respite,
From Blessed noon, ‘til the dark of night!

My Swoon

I'm back
with an attack
on mankind
a civil act
an act of kindness
a greeting
or cheating
on death itself
my heart- stoped beating
for ever in seeing
I can't break in
I won't break out
got nothing to live for
but nothing to doubt
life itself took a piss on me
individuality
nothing now
can take me down
'cause I'm on the bottom
of this living drought
If there is anything- I can explain
is I will never back down
and come out of my sane
so break me down- break me out
you can't win over me
ONLY BEAT ME DOWN!

Premium Member swoon to the tunes

music trivia night
a blast from the past
recognizing songs
from every era
by the first few notes

unforgettable
etched in our memory
except you know the song
but can't think of the title
picture the singer
but not his name

this getting old sucks but
slipping back into the good ol' days
brings back the days
of youth and teenage years
and things forgotten

Premium Member Swoon At the Moon

On one Sad Nightly Afternoon

You Sat and Watched the Moon

Why do you make me Swoon?

You asked our Uncle, Mr Moon,

Without Her Childish Banter,

I feel like a lost Toon,

I want to become her Center,

I am already her Mentor!

Gleeful! Became the Victorious Mood of the Moon,

For He knew how much i also Swoon,

To be Your Queen, My Cuddly Toon!

So He opened the Hidden Box,

That Which Pandora made into a Paradox,

And Out I flew,

Me, The Bestower of Dew!

Me, The Saver of the Wise Few!

Me, The Catwoman who will always Mew,

For Your Eternal Curfew!

My rulers in Hand,

I set about with my Task, That of ruling You, My Man!

I make it Clear,

That You shall be my Seer,

Without any other Peer,

For my love is Sincere

And my Jealousy Severe!

Happy became your Heart

To watch your other Part

Trying with all Her Might,

To get your Attention

And Bring you to Light

Of Her Intense Captivation for your Concoction!

Amused became your Mood,

To see the Queen of Queens

Dropping her Hood,

And Fighting with her Claws for your Skin

In Your Heart, you know you will not be Crude

Even if you like to Pretend to be Rude

Even if you like to Pretend,

That you are not Affected

Not the least bit Tormented

By all my mewings without an End!

Proud will be your Soul,

To Bind me in Wedlock,

As Your Own Mate of Soul,

But Darling, You have Forgotten,

I am since the dawn of Ages, your Vixen!

I am not your Soulmate,

I am Your AlienMate,

I am Your Cosmic Mate,

I am Your Transcendental Mate,

I am Your Eternal Mate,

I am Your Most Loving Mate,

And, Most Importantly, I am Your Playmate!

An Ordinary Swoon

In this Ordinary Swoon
by Michael R. Burch

In this ordinary swoon
as I pass from life to death,
I feel no heat from the cold, pale moon;
I feel no sympathy for breath.

Who I am and why I came,
I do not know; nor does it matter.
The end of every man’s the same
and every god’s as mad as a hatter.

I do not fear the letting go;
I only fear the clinging on
to hope when there’s no hope, although
I lift my face to the blazing sun

and feel the greater intensity
of the wilder inferno within me.

As I drown in your presence
your smile of laughter
warms my sullen heart, as my
breath returns me to life
loving words flow from your lips
like liquid rose petals kissing
silky rain drops from an early
Spring dawn's hazy mist.
your cat green eyes gaze promisingly
into my awaiting soulspace---with
a wishful wink and a naughty nod--your
velvet vixen touch calls me into your dusk
dessert daydream---I quake in all manner
of quiet abandon.
I lay mourning morning in golden reflective
afterglow. Respect the source of the 7 peaceful
deities. If there was ever one-------it is us.
