Best Suchlike Poems
A two-legged canvass
in crimsons and blues
dragons ginormous
and suchlike tattoos
Diamonds and rare gems
that shimmer and shine
flowers on long stems
with sleek strokes and lines
Exciting ones hid
in crannies and nooks
all that's forbid;
condemned by the Book
Exposed on the outside
pleasing to prudes
on out-of-sight hide
erotica and nudes
DELYSIA HENDRICKS
You melted my dreams,
Casted it on your expectations,
Slammed it on me,
To mesh with it with determination.
Draining myself for you,
Still heard what you have done?
Before I close my eyes every night,
I wonder,do you ever love?
You mock at my feelings,
That peep through my eyes,
It's of heartache you gave,
But I am tounge tied.
You care of me sometimes,
And it's alleviating,
I forget all my sorrows,
And think you're loving.
But when the daydream shatters,
And I come in light,
All I see,
Love is but a blight.
I cannot utter "I hate you",
I feel neither,
Though you made me hate myself,
Or the world either.
Everyone says,
I should be loving you,
But I donot feel suchlike,
I feel like I am at the darkest roads,
Forlorn,
Deaf and muted,
I cannot even scream or cry.

How delicate and how fine the dust
Diffusing to everywhere in the country
Making all the cities and villages twilight
Suchlike watching a fairyland legendary
The movements of People in the fog
Alike fairies flying lost in sullen cloud
Laughter can be heard without a doubt
But not a shadow could be worked out.
I am now beyond able to comprehend
The mystery of this broad eastern land
Oh, such amorous flamenco
A bailaora who whirls fervidly
Nascent paltriness, a winged coo
Unruffled yet sways seamlessly
To grasp is to grin and bear it
To ace is quite an arduous drill
To master is to act with grit
And delectate the peachy whirl
One oblique pennant of breath
Suchlike to humane multitude
Defiance from old shibboleth
A vagueness of life’s certitude

Dreaming is a choice,
Suchlike a breeze
Or a blooming rose
Petals flourish anyway,
I have dreams and - fantasies
This wave of fancy
Suchlike fresh air to my spirit
My muse - is obdurate
Assist in my endeavor
Stardust metaphors erase shyness
Spreads soothing stake shades
The bright moon
With its stillness
Silently watching over us,
At the bottom of the sea,
Fantasy of acceptance
With a backward glance,
To impanel who deserves
Becoming a seaside charmer
The sound of the waves
Swarming aped thunder,
Mysteries that magnify madness
A magic that can only be used once,
Invoked by the tides
I was literally astounded
Through this surreal event,
A dreamer soul
Whose kiss dispels all doubts?
In fantasy, fantastic feelings
Sight and story are the core
To provide the reader with realism,
Exquisite and vibrant
Bright - cerulean hues dazzle and deepen.

Hear Me, O Muse, no moos or cluckings, muckings or horns of fog
Do sound the clamoring claxons of the bardics that be written by William McGonagal o’ the Bog,
That Laird of Lamentations Disastrous, that Scot Wha’ Hey Nonny Nonny,
Laureate of the quite awful woeful grueful stuff that happened a-when Goode Queen Victoria was stuck-in in Buckingham and Balmoral and the rest, recall ‘em, of her palaces oh so very bonny,
All about bridges steel a-budging, assassinations most foul all gone kerplooey,
And many and other suchlike things dire. And then that tasty poetaster who be
Known far and near for all his poems fair about domestical bliss most sweet a-cloying,
Edgar Guest, good ol’ scrivener of the everyday, of pathos and bathos does he sing,
Garden paths and bubble baths and let’s not be forgetting the good ol’-fashion verities,
A poet to speak for everyone no matter who or how finicky, he’s.
Let’s round down to an even three with Rod McKuen, syrupy-treacly and saccharine,
Escape from thought and subject and technique and all things stern or black-and-grim,
As sure as roses are red and violets are blue
And God made the little green apples red but once in a while green too.
I swear I cannot live unless I’m able to read them many times per diem,
At work, at home, in bed, or sometimes while at my BM.
PLASTIC BAG PREJUDICE AND BIGOTRY
What’s that over there?
Don’t bother, it’s just another of those goddamned plastic bags,
Just a plastic bag, a thin polythene bag,
Transparent, cheap, ugly: seen one seen ‘em all -
If I see one comin’ my way, I avoid it.
Always hangin’ in bunches at corners of streets
Where you wouldn’t walk at night,
In the markets after honest folks have all gone home,
Hovering, looking for nothing in particular.
An aimless existence, I tell you,
And I swear you can smell the stink off ‘em fifty feet away.
Can just tell by their color - they’re trouble.
And of course, always linked to cocaine and suchlike.
These guys never amount to anything; just useless,
Blowin’ in the wind - no purpose, no function, no real job:
Kinda like parasites on our country.
Decent folks don’t want ‘em - they don’t really belong.
Better to use good American paper bags, instead
Of importing these guys from sweat shops in Asia.
They’re nothing but trouble - they block up drains;
Can choke a kid; and suffocate a dog;
And we can’t get rid of ‘em. They won’t go away,
Don’t decay for like five zillion years in the soil.
We’d be better off without them -
Our country would be cleaner, less spoiled,
The way it was in the old days.

NOTE
This is the third in my PLASTIC BAG trilogy. If I write a fourth, it will be a quadrilogy
Gust wheezes behind the sill, fog on pane
I accede to its drift while moonglow dies ;
This heart longs for you, but would breaths refrain
From asking suchlike thoughts, when time implies—
A goodbye ebbing, cast, by rippled gloom
That drizzles speak of broken ties, of chill;
Nebulous in hours ashed, my nights exhume
A stygian waste trashing days, pungent and ill.
O gruesome the maze through cloudburst —although
My hope unbounded bequeaths inner peace ;
To grant evening shadow its afterglow
Until daybreak hails new comfort of ease.
On my way greeting life, joy always wins
Even if most rainfall ends or begins.

When you walk deep into a wildland
Seeing butterflies dancing in flowers
It's chanting by flying you understand
Suchlike the angels touring in the clouds
You are romantic
While you saw a little newly born bird
Chasing by a bulky starving grey mouse
Your empathy soar bitterly into absurd
And blame the predator for no occults
You are benignant
You are romantic and you are benignant
You will surely be blessed by the land
*Good luck for being positively romantic and having concentrated empathy.
Life is still being fair to every person
Walking all roads toward destination
No matter they are circuitous or plain
And mind not the yields joy or pain
Lives suchlike yours and mine appeared
As to be bracketed quotes of comments
Made by yet to be known forces we share
Once compiled as being a book presents
As seemed the most accurate words chosen
And the most vividly truth has explained
No matter they are circuitous or plain
Once visualized as being pictures shown
As seems the most reasonable lines drawn
And the most pretty colors are painted
It's the most common truths are recorded
And the most precious piece of arts coined
For us being together to read and comprehend
With thankfulness and loving feelings keen
the Storm rages in your hair
made of sand and lovely gold dust,
crabs and camellia
surge on, delicate
you're born like this
the Storm rages over the contours
of your body suchlike swallow's
made of amber and pearliness
and quicksilver tinge
now surge on, delicate
you are the Maelström
the Storm rages through your
fingers like honeysuckle rods
and late at night
I'll be your mirror
so surge on, delicate
'cause you are the Maelström
