-rearranging the stars-

How could we agree to separation?
If you were destined to be my soulmate,
Why would we allow the stars to change our fate?
They've written in a fresh verse
Sewing in a new song, soon to be sung
The Stars are not to blame
The fault lies deep within our hearts

Like earthquakes wondering through the years
separating silicone valley of tears.
Sweeping sweet dreams far away
What has become of my day?
Today the sun sets holding on to old hope
Tears fall down a sudden slope

Now my dreams are drowning down another road
Tonight I sit under the aspen cold
Alone, no longer in search of gold
Naming nights you whispered words of love to my soul

Your love no longer speaks
Without warning, the Midas touch slowly fades
In my chest - I find fault
The sound of heartache echoes every day
Rejuvenating every crack from display
In plain sight, I search for thee
The sun -The moon -The madness -The Salton Sea
My heart no longer speaks

Everything I dream of sinks like the night
Stuck in quicksand -- the aftermath
Healing scars the aftershock left behind
Finding ways to fill the gloom
Alas bridal curtains sit silently in my room
Setting boundaries between Earth's poetic plates
Like an earthquake passing through my heart
You left like the moon, moving mountains apart

IS THERE SOMETHING YOU forgot TO TELL Me, dear
Suddenly, San Andreas Fault looks tragic from here
Until then I will hold my breath
In hopes, our Plates will meet again

Goodbye Song

Another haunted night, I watch
raindrops fall from consolatory words,
track each plane flying south, and
I think of you.
My lungs empty a lonely sigh…
I bullet a dark, heaving sky
with my angry words as I curse you
for walking away again. I remember
the starlings that came earlier; they
circled low, then perched along
the eaves while the sun held me in
afternoon glow, as if to say goodbye,
friend. We will meet again.
I should have known.

Night after night, shadows march
a solemn procession across a long-faced
moon. I know he is mourning, too.
Weeds tangle my thoughts until I dream
in a web of mismatched memories
and neglected clues - so many questions,
left in a heap at the foot of our bed,
no answers said out loud. Solitude plays
games with my heart; mocking me tonight,
the house wins again. Why do I gamble
after I lost you before? How many times
have you walked out that door?

I try to mend cracks exposed when
darkness fades into golden dawn.
I try to color my crumpled world
like a child. I paint smiles on your face
in our albums to tell myself lies.
I replay the moment you walked away;
I envision every detail down to one lace
that dangled from your new shoes,
new shoes bought to step into our new
life together. I remember when we wrapped
ourselves in our dreams to keep warm.

One day, your face will dissolve
like a rain puddle on a summer day.
One day, I’ll say goodbye and start again.
Maybe today will be that day.
At least today, I’ll try.

A lone starling in a dark, glossy suit
lands on my window sill at break
of dawn. It wakes me with its sweet,
warbled song and waits long enough for me
to rise from bed so I might feel the promise
of a new day shine into my soul. Then,
as my tears fall soft like spun silk,
he spreads his wings and flies away.
In light of dawn’s blessings, I am
the starling, singing a goodbye song. I pray,
tonight, I dream of anyone but you.

She told it this way.....

He said...San Francisco......
Then up to Mendocino
I said...can I go
He said...I guess you can

'Cause, long since Albuquerque
That's when he first hurt me
My heart's dying to divert me
To the promised land

And...oh, the nights are long
When you're playing tag along
And this old heartache..hanging on
Is getting out of hand

'Wish he would turn this car around
California...feels like shaky ground,
Why is it always one more town
To the promised land

Silence speaks behind the wheel
A change of plans....to Bakersfield
Where Merle Haggard got the feel
Of the lonesome legend man

"Can't say I'm having fun
In this California sun
But,I'm praying for another run
To the promised land

And...oh, the days are cold
When empty's all you've got to hold
And chase love down another road
'So hard to understand

This oak just ain't gonna bend
Maybe, as the story ends
I'll catch another poet's pen
To the promised land

I'Ll Have Another, and Keep'Em Comin'

In awe and angst, my Mind exploding-
Near to truth, but nothing knowing!
In Sadness sought, my Soul is sewing;
Weaving woes my Heart bestowing
Exhausted brain, too drained for thinking,
For in Wells of Worry I am sinking...
I might as well just keep on drinking-
And all around me, Poets singing
Songs of old and tunes of yore-
Words that torch me to my core
One more draught, dropped to the floor,
And I can hear their Hymns no more...

Premium Member Sea Temptress' Plea

She is the fish-maiden of the night,
a temptress that croons to the sky
wading on gills of fondled thoughts,
the bearer of one fine shipmate’s doom
coasting on forbidden passion and trance.

On waters’ edge before the stars pale,
her body swivels before an ensnared time
of  charmed maneuver , a hesitant prowl;
till the gentle fondness weeps a lonely desire.

Laying her man on the crib of soft navel
an aching dusk breaks a mermaid's  tune ;
his breath gasping against the shore
while she clings to a howling wind,
pleading for rescue into deep cave of moss.

Premium Member The Sound of Bliss

When sad eyes sink at depth of dark to see
in the niche of soul, still like the deep sea,
find how and where drops you shed go to lie
on the edge of scorched mind till they are dry.

Mind then comes out of smoke to dance with glee
at soft pace like fleet of clouds that moves free
in the blue stretch of no end on the sky
where the life of joy spreads wings and soars high.

Tinged rays of new sun glint the face of gloom,
once more on plants of land gone waste buds bloom.
Touch of hue wafts to the heart that shines bright
as it gets fused with glow of the deep light.

Stream made of drops of grief flows out of heart,
with rhythmic sound of bliss new song will start.

Soft moonlight
Reflects off my guitar
As I wait for you 'neath your window.
I spy your shadow silhouetted by a light.
Taking a deep breath, I start to sing and finger my guitar;
An air of unrequited love, and the sadness of life in the shadow.

Title # 3

I Never Sang For You

There are many days I miss her,
A powerful and unique lady,
What truly deters,
Is why he married again.

I remember back when,
She always wanted to hear my voice.
I was too shy and nervous to begin,
Soon I had the courage but I lost my choice.

She never got to hear me sing,
Never heard a tuneful tone.
It crushed my soul my everything,
Made my heart completely stone.

I wish I would've had the skill,
To sing for this vessel of knowledge.
After she left it went all downhill,
I won't even forget you when I'm in college.

I will always miss your lovely smile,
If I performed for you, it would be worthwhile.
Ma-Maw will remain in my heart,
For I hope to never fall apart.

Premium Member Beyond The Sound Of Silence

Walking along a hanging bridge, seeing birds of different kinds as I hear the songs of birds chirping. There is revelry and cries everywhere while bigger, larger birds yelp at each other -- expressing their joys and fears in the jungle. Every little creature around the hanging bridge conveys a different jingle of its own. I am enthralled by the mixed melodies I hear so I stopped in the middle of the bridge, closing my eyes to feel the resonating live orchestra racing with different instruments and chants of everything around me. Then everything around me stopped moving and total silence I am hearing, feeling. For many seconds, I feel there is something else beyond the sound of silence... the silence of the body, mind and soul. Then I opened my eyes, seeing something flying from the other end of the hanging bridge and approaching me... image of an angel with large white wings telling me...

"winds, trees live as one
creatures bring in joys and tears
 for man to cherish."

Rock 'N Roll Rhyme Fest-All My Love

"ALL MY LOVE"
ALBUM: IN THROUGH THE OUR DOOR
-LED ZEPPELIN

Perfectly c o m p o s e d on the album “In Through The Out Door”,
Robert Plant and John Paul Jones sang “ALL MY LOVE” live-
Led Zeppelin had been drifting apart, but this song was for
Plant’s son Karac who died of a stomach infection at age five.

Not a traditional love song, but a tribute to a l i f e l e s s child,
it took Plant ten years to try to make sense of his death-
At that time Jimmy Page and John Bonham had been acting wild,
while Plant was struggling to take another heartbroken breath.

Losing a child brings a s o r r o w no parent should have to bear,
but a deep mourning can bring a lyricist to write brilliance-
From this tragedy Plant began to heal and graciously shared
his tenacity from a time of anguish into buoyant resilience.

This complex song was full of yearning with a sense of bittersweet,
an i n t e r n a l struggle with loss and deprivation of life’s meaning-
A sacred time in the life when a parent should admit defeat,
“ALL MY LOVE” was a song written from Plant’s heart that was bleeding.

Nameless

i see myself in you and its kinda strange
coz thats the only time i love myself when im in dire straits
ya see i have this diesease sometimes i lie awake
and wonder why im a piece of **** with all of my mistakes
but one day i'll change it i'll make it and flip this
until that day im making a difference making
a conscious decision to take what im given
no slave to the way that im liven
and these are more than words this is my testimony
most if it i wrote for you so when im gone ya never lonely
they say only god can judge me but who is he
i feel at times that by design for real the only god is me
but im a basket case who cant escape the darkest place
inside my mind you'll find my heart replaced incased in armour plates
half my traits are like a dog just looking for a car to chase
barking mad starven carven scars upon my arms and face
and this is hardly fake but something that i can't erase
my darkest days my casket waits to take me to a calmer state

Knock, Knock

Please place patience upon my palms,
and put much Madness in my Heart.
Stir in my Soul, a somber song-
(Truth in Mind ere I depart)

My course is forced; what woe- remorse!
Thus from myself, at once divorced…
A sojourn at every turn-
and at my door, a Trojan Horse!

Really Wanna Say Hello Goodbye -Song Lyrics

REALLY WANNA SAY HELLO (Goodbye)

Where did you go, you who just passed me by and left?
Are you doing fine, at a place without me by your side?
Hoping you'll come back, the times I've waited for you
I'll let it go now, I'll forget you now.

The beautiful times we had, they're all memories now
The tears I shed when I missed you like crazy
Hoping you'll come back, time stood still
I'll let you go and leave now, goodbye.

Couldn't you find it, the road that leads back to me?
Should I wait a little while more, should I wait here a little longer?
Hoping you'll come back, I waited all this while
I'll let it go now, I'll end it for real.

My love for you that I held on so tightly, is slowly dissipating
The me that went crazy missing you, is gradually changing
Hoping you'll come back, time has stood stagnant
I should erase it all now, for real.

My love, it ends right here, this never-ending yearning
Stuck in my throat, I couldn't say it
Those heartbreaking words of parting
All my beautiful memories of you, it's leaving me right now.

Like falling tears, my love is slowly dissipating
The me that went crazy missing you, is gradually changing
Hoping you'll come back, time stood stagnant
I should erase it now, for real.

Should erase it now?
I should forget you now, goodbye.. :(

Premium Member Time To Choose

just drifting along
repeating my life's mistakes
refrains in a song
endless lyrics of heartbreaks
memories of what went wrong

mind singing the blues
sad emotions, falling tears
noticing the clues
admitting the end is near
deciding which life to choose

notes leaving the head
music vacating all thought
releasing the dread
that was pent up in my heart
new refrain, "at last it's dead."
