Best Retakes Poems

Premium Member Beryl the Peril

My auntie her first name is Beryl
Put other road users in peril
She mounted the sidewalk
The pedestrians squawk
and report her to Sherriff Merrill

The Sherriff puts her under arrest
as Beryl says she tried her best
But before Beryl kills
With her dire driving skills
He insisted she retakes her test

The examiner discovered that
Aunt Beryl is as blind as a bat
So it made perfect sense
To decline her licence
I’m as pleased as a Cheshire cat!

Premium Member A Gallant Knight

NOTE: A young college football player who plays for a team that I follow was seriously hurt this
past weekend. I wrote this poem in honor of that young man and in hopes of a speedy
recovery.

The scarlet warrior with foe in sight,
Stops the advance with all his might.
First, a roar of great celebration;
Then a silencing of the elation.

Prideful eyes from thousands of fans,
Watch attentively with folded hands.
On the ground lies one of their own;
A knight fighting gallantly for his home.

From the banks of the ole Raritan,
Prayers and thoughts for Eric LeGrand.
Representing his school and his state;
Of his courage and valor there’s no debate.

Playing a game he dearly loves;
Blessed with ability given from above.
Now relies on his inner strength,
And all our support to every length.

I only know Eric as a Rutgers’ fan,
But some day would like to shake his hand,
And on that day when he retakes the field,
On my knees, to God, I’ll give thanks and kneel.

College Life

It's full of jokes
But sometimes pains
When you have retakes.

Downs and Ups

There are times when waking up is hard
Easier when you are near yet difficult if far
That's when I stay down like a fallen card
As though I am as stuck as a star.

Do you watch the moon while I see it shine?
Are there lights or is it darker
I have chills running through my spine
And you're straightening it with a thick marker.

Strange as can be that falling asleep is worst
Always staying awake until I see the sun has risen
My sleep patterns are reversed
My soul is in prison

Even when I try nothing seems to work
All I ever do is lay awake
While our memories lurk
In my dreams with multiple retakes.

Flowers bloom but always die
Beautiful until they fall to the ground
Their petals disintegrate as they lie
And they do it without making any sound

I just want to be loved for who I am
All of the negative simply makes me ill
Through every tear, I still swam
Because I still have plenty in life to fulfill.

I Will Rise, Above Heart's Weakness
(I Will Rise Above -MY - Heart's Weakness)

Shall I bend, to your massive will
break chains of my aching heart
Or with infinite time wait until
life gives love's sweeter restart

Shall I cry, into your bad heart
show pain dripping in blood
Or wait until we dare race apart
in a deluge waiting to flood

Should I weep, for your mistakes
eat truth to save your soul
Beg forever even more hard retakes
and love burning like a coal

Should I grovel, in abject shame
a man dying in his despair
A fool uncaring of his family name
begging again without a care

I will look, again into dark eyes
fight blackness that stares back
Choose to forget your very bad lies
seek deeper love that you lack

I will rise, above heart's weakness
cut out my longing love needs
Forget your sexy body and sleekness
which my dream forever feeds

Bombs and guns scythe through the innocent
writ in spattered blood evil intent
from youth's garden, saplings gone.
But staunchly rising from the killing floor
Liberty retakes the tricolour
strides a nation, marches on.

Premium Member Shades of Change

A person’s life is in varying shades of change.
However, at times the plans are not prearranged.
Sometimes our journey seems to have lots of mistakes,
Even when you know in life there are no retakes.

At times a life can get stuck in unfamiliar limbo,
With a heart so troubled, you don’t feel the wind blow.
At this crossroad, you have to get down on your knees and pray,
Because He is the only one that can show you the way.

When life does resemble a monotonous “groundhog day,”
You have to get off the treadmill, unless you plan to stay.
Thinking of someone besides yourself may help your disposition,
And might just promote renewed ambition.

Some people say that change is a good thing.
I wish we could know before what it would bring…
You have to trust God in whatever changes take place,
And He will be there for you in life’s obstacle race.

How I Feel Rap

I got butterflies
Up and down my stomach
If you feel the same way show me how bad you want it
Whenever you come around
I try to act cool, be smooth
But I keep on fumbling making mistakes
Wishing there was a slate so I could do retakes
Quietly beaten myself up for looking so foolish
Thinking I can’t do this
My heart’s bursting out of my chest
Why do you make me so nervous?
I wanna be more than friends
But I don’t think I can confess
I don’t wanna be the one to ruin it
And break up what we have
So all these feelings I’ll just hold it all back
And try to make up for the courage I lack
And remain in the dark, put an ice pack on my heart

Bribery Sins

Bribery sins…
.Spurns and prides are taking passes.
Passing balances all are cases and tasks.
Some retakes are warrants put.
Pick the tough ropes not only straws to last.
PINKO god-some will need the disciplines.
Doors to Eden just are door ajar.
Some things harmonic needed our justices to cohere.
Feels are fear alarms that mighty come.
Something uprights needed our uprising.
China premier WENJIABO bribery sins then some of them must also sinning with so.
Natures all at your becks and calls is china commie also those with heavy troops.
Who will care our nature sin then sinning more as one.
Some may still become award with laws.
So as Wraths become our dues by gods or by laws.
Poor have little bed-spaces to live.
WENJIABO BEDELS buy a street or less.
House commodious like a premise set with garden.
EX-HONG KONG commissioner LEUNG OIL SEE just declare and verify good or bad as nothing dues but She mean the ruling of China commie.
Who will make the senses as only all for commie ruling all by means of LEUNG OIL SEE..
What is good but who is bad.
What is nothing? Who but no one can do a lot of sins with says.
Objects most are things relay to subjects.
Who will call you sir and sure For you as PINKO.

One hundred first dates,
seventy five second dates,
fifty retakes,
twenty five out takes,

Premium Member The Silent One

It's at this time I like to write
No longer day, but not yet night
Where Sun and darkness can not see
The Silent One come visit me
Where shadows flow like whispered rhymes
Of sorted tales and grueling times
And so collaborate we do
In the twilight just we two
To share on creased and crumbled page
Both pain and pleasures through the age
Where tears do shed, and veins do bleed
There cryptic words no one can read
And as this world fades from our sight
Regarding night as lack of light
While the Sun, retakes the sky
The moon retreats for it is shy
Thus, it waits another day
To move the Sun, out of it's way
But, before the light is fully shunned
I wait here for The Silent One
And there we'll write until quite late
To once again collaborate.

No Love Part 2 the Revival

I've found land again, the darkest land that I have seen,
And I can't see a single thing.
I sense these peoples ears perk up as I begin to lie again,
"I'm staying in sick again",
Huhh these lies ain't thickening.
Status update, now I'm writing silly s-it again,
On impulse, must be the ADHD kicking in.

Depression retakes its hold on me,
But I'm not being pulled into no sea.
I look at these demons,
and how they treat me,
It's time to rise up and beat em',
Not be defeated.
Don't call me a freak
just because I went through things that caused me to stop believing,
I'm a get this darkness out of my reality,
I'm a live through this
No, I won't stop breathing!

Smash some light into this world, I'm a cremate it, infinite,
as I drop bomb after bomb on them,
I'm a have the greatest fight of all time,
and I'm not gona stop until the battle's won.
I'm not afraid, I can make it different,
try and fail repeat it back again.
I'll rip this whole world of black apart,
An immense light seeps, I see, I weep.

An artistic flush,
The whole rainbow appears,
releasing my fears,
now I'm an enlightened fella.

Set a different course to the rest of the crowd,
A special route to make one feel crowned,
gold hearted,
The sort the royals have knighted,
A gladiator or King Arthur,
There's too many metaphors,
But I am at my strongest,
Satan's armies would RUN if they saw this!

Now, now, bloaw!
I'm elevating up to the top, I can't stop, I'm looking down on all of the world,
Nowadays I'm on top of this pain and it can't hurt or affect me anymore.
I feel so good, it's insane, I feel like I won the most epic of all wars.
I've got the power in me to grow strong and become an unstoppable forging force!

I'm a straighten up my stride,
I'll Never Give Up Hope, Not In Any Moment, NEVER, NO.
I'm a retake my pride,
a giant rose, just because I didn't give up, I was so close.
Mercy to my gods, I carried on relentless, I held up, I escaped hell.
So thanks to those who helped, and gave me that pull back up.

Praying for Reincarnation
David J Walker

David is someone else and
I am merely playing his part
Memorizing then repeating
His lines
	That I would never say
Stumbling over mistakes
Begging for retakes
Hoping I stay
	In character
Throughout the passions play
And then
	Play the part better
On another
better day

David is someone else and
I am merely making a start
To my life
	Within his skin

Lighting a candle
Praying for reincarnation
	Again
		And again

Premium Member Happiness An Illusion Delusion

Happiness is an illusion, a mirage, a delusion
fostered by a trial separation of truth from reality.
You have to be made to be happy
Or succumb to the happy state.
Few are born happy, newborn babies cry
Few die happy, unless in sweet dreams asleep.
True happiness is born of smug acceptance by peers
It is worthiness flowing to and fro in tides of tithes
shared with family and friends, till chest fills
and the good ship 'Happy' floats out of dry dock
after a spell of reparation and renewal.
Made good, with make-ups, remakes and retakes.

Premium Member Hey, Babe Its Me Here

Hey Babe, it's Me here!
The day's on the run!
The remakes
And half takes
Are for the boss
And the bum!

Hey Babe, it's Me here!
The chase is for the bit!
The truck is not
A train yet
The heart will see
The hit!

Hey Babe, It's Me here!
The tug is for the noun!
The "Who" is just
A verb for the foot
And the found!

Hey Babe, It's Me here!
The best is for
The part!
The deal's just
A steal with
A take back
The start!

Hey Babe, let stay here
The world is
A fall apart!
The tug's not
A rug for a trip
But the heart!

The retakes
The stand stills
The long gone for
The found
The half tracks in
The way back
Are for a real
And an around!

Hey Babe!
It's me Here!
