Best Rapid Eye Movement Poems

Premium Member Sleeping Beauty

It seems you only appear whilst I am asleep,
teasing rapid eye movement to awake and weep.
You hide, so I wonder how beautiful you must be,
fulfil my desires and give me the chance to see.
I believe you have beauty, eyes have never seen,
which allures me to places I have never been.
Maybe you were sculpted by Michelangelo's hands,
DaVinci drew you a smile only he understands,
Rembrandt's hand trembled at the sight of your grandeur,
maybe you are the one, Raphael's angels adore.
Your image mirrors Cleopatra's unique class,
which fades at daylight, regrets begin to amass.

I do not know your name, Silent remains the tongue,
yet I fondly believe in my heart you belong.

Premium Member Footprints In the Snow

Walking under overcast sky
I trod through drifted snow,
no longer bearing allegiance
to platitudes disguised as wisdom
spun in gingerbread houses of the holy,
an asymmetrically challenged splinter
on a white horizon,
leaving a trail of footprints
on my frozen path.

Behind me lies the ranch house,
shutters closed in rapid eye movement,
dreaming of acres of wheat and barley
gleaming in July's opaque sunlight.
They will not know I've gone,
will assume I'm out walking.
Only as gray dusk settles
on the porcelain landscape
will they wonder where I am.

In my dark coat and cap,
shouldering a pack,
I move past the fence posts
where snow mounds like the litter
of attic antiques reciting memories
in foreign tongues.
One leafless elm bears witness
to my departure, waving
in benign breeze.

Lest my tears freeze I hold them back.
Though my footprints sprint backwards
in the charcoal of sacrosanct earth
I must stay to my gospel:
to the naked eye the flat distance
may only promise glaciers,
but I seek the aurora borealis
hidden in daylight's dim emergence,
where the crocus blooms
in barren existence.

Premium Member The Gun Carriage

Having engaged in unlawful
Sexual intercourse
The hunter inflicted suffering
Upon my dissent.
Trained for rapid eye movement
He showcased with a violent temper
And in conversation
How it was for the purpose
Of my moral improvement
That in his chasuble
He designed to subdue me.
What an obscenity
To doubt the machinery
By which my chastity
Supports my collected bodies!
The gun carriage moved
Backwards and forwards.
The old world thrushes
chatted in "la Casula".
His discipline hastened
A yawning fissure.
The gorge that would
Breach the structure
Of our relations
With divergent opinions.
The chaser chassed in
Cheap chauvinism.
The change in this
Chattel's luster
Could be seen in a
Chatelaine's cat's eyes.
Apocopated celebrants
Gathered for the sacrifice
I could tell by the
Marked interruptions
Gapping the framework
Of our forlorn continuity.
It scared me so
That I was not trusted
To trust myself
Or my resultant suffix.
Castitas, intercourse
Or crying became informal.
I longed for the days
Before the chasm
When secured
In composed type
We were the receiving set
Of a mounting foundation.
Now an uninformed attendant,
A collection of various sections
I indulge in mild beverage
And still find no quenching
The deep cleft of my harmed surface.

Premium Member Avoiding Eye Contact

We've all seen it and most of us have done it.
What is it you may inquire?
It's the funny things people do to avoid eye contact.
First we have " The Scan." That's when someone trying
to avoid eye contact will look at you from head to toe with
finally orchestrated up and down rapid eye movement,
there by avoiding the allotted time which constitutes actual looking.
Then there is what's called the " Look Back." Yes, you can already guess,
this is when you pretend you heard someone call your name behind you
or you suddenly wonder if you left something in the store you just left.
Have I picked yours yet? We next have a classic known as " Phantom Calls."
Isn't it amazing that just when someone is looking at you, you remembered
that important call you needed to make or your sure your cellphone just rang,
so of course you need to check it.Then we have the " Head drop." It's
mind boggling to calculate the chance that your neck muscles without
warning turn to jello and your head drops at precisely the time someone looks your way. These are some of the skillful ways one can avoid making eye contact. I hope you've enjoyed them.

Rapid eye movement helps
               restore the dreaming mind,
         regenerating and
recharging its matter.
         Relax and prepare to
              recall subconscious realms,
                                          revisiting wonders.

Rems

And here I am again completely weird
But the clock it just keeps on ticking
But not the only reason why I'm tired
And my eyes they keep on flickering

When outside all these flashing lights
The sound of cars keep whishing on by
It's no good all these sleepless nights
If I could get some blink in shut eye

I keep on telling myself sweet dreams
Though most of the time they are vivid
It's like I'm jumping in and out of scenes
And only leaves one restless and livid

Yeah I defiantly need some more r,e,m's
It's like this bad case of sleep depravation
I'm often asked where is it that it all stems
Though I've never been one for relaxation

I need some more rapid eye movement
If I could get some of those sweet lullaby’s
Of course that would be an improvement
To those bags that are under my eyes

Thoughts keep going round in my head
If I could give some rest to my aching bod
I've just got to start getting myself to bed
Though still trying to find the land of nod

Something wanted to write about for a while
couple of verse not to happy with might update in futre
just getting some thoughts out of my head
im sure a lot of people can relate to this
when in my ywenties did not need as much
but so much going on at times find it hard to relax
get in to that third stage of sleep

Rapid Eye Movment

Will I ever find that place of relaxation
Again I'm awake, I'm completely weird
It's a bad case of sleep depravation
That’s why I'm always so dam tired

Eyes flickering, all these flashing lights
The sound of cars keep whishing on by
Clocks ticking, all these sleepless nights
If only I could get some blink in shut eye

All these thoughts rushing though my head
I need rapid eye movement, sweet lullaby’s
I suppose got to start getting myself to bed
An improvement to the bags under my eyes

I tell myself sweet dreams but their vivid
If I could only give rest to my aching bod
In and out of senses, so restless, I'm livid
If I could just for once find the land of nod

Something wanted to write about for a while

just getting some thoughts out of my head

Disembodied Voice

It comes in beta waves,
	         an electro-magnetic tone
The blu-ray timbre
	channel surf creep
in your sleep
Then it’s rapid eye movement gone

This disembodied voice
whispers robo-call suggestively,
“Vote for American czar me”

Saying, cast your ballot
for the hand that turns the screw
Will govern by absentee headspace,
be a virtual
proxy voice for the oligarch few

Reverberated words of coin authoritarian oscillation
soundbyte feed discontent
		Promising to Twitter lead,
mint breath blindly,
by jingle radar sense: Foment ability of echolocation

The drifting voice,
	         grifting in the poll ether,
		      	           uses dead president divination
to ruble follow the money
It’s silver tongue got Midas finger talent,
oh so gold digger uncanny

This disembodied Klux voice
utters in dark tone, Klu bigotry:

“Vote cult figuratively
		  for wannabe dictator me!
I’ll put Democracy,
in a freedom of speech deprivation sleep

Let my electoral lullaby mood of choice
allow the bane of tyranny
to give you a text disenfranchised voice”

The vexatious tone of the disembodied drone
	urges every rebel diehard
to ballot gray matter play their trump card
Tho’ most bellow vociferously

To take a chance,
and gamble on chaos longevity
By selecting the Joker
chortling insane asylum policies

You can hear the disembodied voice
in your waking dreams —

	Floating lunatic fringe

Ideas

	that’ll make you cringe

I've ridden zebras on the Serengeti,
swam the wildest seas;
I've played golf with old Jack Benny
-brought Ali to his knees.
I've killed zombies in my bedroom,
a werewolf on the lawn
-fought vampires at the edge of doom
before the break of dawn.
I've spent the night with Marilyn,
had a beer with Gable
-watched Astaire's light-footed spin
with Ginger on my table.
I helped Howard Hughes with all his schemes
-sang with Elvis as they screamed,
but then, like life, just what it seems
-a crazy mixed up old weird dream!

Unspoken Poetry

Unspoken Poetry

I see you when i close my eyes
like a rapid eye movement wrapping my sleep,
unfolding my thoughts repeatedly;
then i feel those familiar tingling all over me
from my toes, between my thighs, running above my spine
I must admit you're the unspoken poetry of my love and desire.

I-N-S-O-M-N-I-A

The sky outside is beginning to brighten
But Asteria hasn’t released her hold yet
Grabbing and devouring, your nightly Titan
And you'd kill for a dream that you could forget

No rapid-eye movement
No slow-wave state
No armor or shield from the night
The station is buzzing
The sleep train is late
In your crowded head, passengers fight

‘Cause there's no dreaming tonight

At the end of the day, you're a penny wiser
Tho none much stronger for your pain
You fought back the dogs and stepped thru the fire
With the promise of rest ingrained in your brain

No rapid-eye movement
No slow-wave state
No armor or shield from the night
The station is buzzing
But the train is late
In your crowded head, the voices fight

Where there's no dreaming tonight

No dreaming tonight --
Nobody can rest around here
No sleep mask to fight the vertical blinds
No nocturnal siren to entrance the ear

The sky outside is beginning to brighten
But insomnia hasn’t let up its hold yet --

Guess there’s no dreaming tonight.

Poetry Prose : Within Me -Hope You Enjoy

Inside I slumbered within the fancy of time in my ancient youth, living in but a fantasy
my soul left my body like old, decaying slippers, into the protected chasms of my mind

From a far: my eyes like telescope lenses searching the universe that lied outside my world
when would time move again like a locomotive on the time-line of my life

Where do I begin but at the end, when I met the love of my life, seems but a flash ago
Words sent on quantum strings like paper-cup phones, my rapid-eye movement became to
slow

Never did I phantom that once I found the other piece of my heart that too many other
pieces would be missing
Waking up to a world that had pass me by, I have no clue what to do

I arrived at the station of my body, feeling the numbness subside to depression
Feeling the flood of emotions kept in a bottle tossed into the waves of time, come back to
me once again

Now I stare into my loves eyes, upon the bed: insomnia to my dreams
With nostalgia of my hide-a-way from life, wishing I could offer more to my love than a world
built on fantasy: a poof of smoke

Suicide Star's

Look at the Suicide Star's
Look how they bent for you
From Hero to Zero
0 to Death
In a single rapid eye movement
Poster Boy or Girl for T.Shirt sales
Legends of the Fall
And followers
Death Art Departed
The Creative Heart
Never more the Hero
For children to read up
Bad Luck
Bad Karma
Drugs are not the answer
Drugs are the Cancer Catalyst
Self can not resist only assist
The spiral mind down and down
The final solution
The last escape
The End
The Grave

Premium Member All Day Long

to follow smiles all day long
start at dawn with glad birdsong
sunburst paints heaven’s excess
the glory of God’s express

to follow the midday boon
its sunflowers climbing noon
an after-shine steaming hot
lemonade tied in cold knot

to follow crimson gloaming
its passionate host foaming
eyes wide in blossom of night
the moon aglow with soft light

to follow the shadows reach
rapid eye movement, its breach
felicity spreads throughout
believer’s dream devout
