Premium Member Benevolence of Forgiveness

On troubled roads of life, when opposing sides collide,
Conflict of emotions clamors, agitating ego and pride,
While empathy warns: let forgiveness be your guide,
As benevolent angels, in missives of compassion chide.

Mired in wins and losses, when humanity strums offbeat,
Adversaries propagate hatred, and blatantly mistreat,
As meaningless conversations puff up, donning conceit,
While expressions of solemn amiability retreat in defeat.

A proffer of calm and goodwill, checks enemy’s reign
When sanctity prevails, calming a perturbed domain,
As atonement and humility heal, soothing angst of pain
And disturbed vibes seeking revenge, begin to wane.

As nobility of repentance tenders offers of mercy, grace,
Malevolent behaviors recede, ashamed in disgrace,
And enlightenment of intellect inspires vacuous space,
When hosting redemption, reformed enemies embrace.

In affluence of cognitive thoughts informed minds elate
Harboring tolerance and sympathy, discarding hate,
Being harmonious with peace, mundane life they liberate,
Achieving balance within, unfazed by travails of fate.

Premium Member Sunrise Yellow and Gold

The dawn sun rose yellow and gold,
   And soft light pours in my window;
The sun is rising up so bold,
I puff up my cozy pillow.

My cat has found a patch of sun,
   She is busy with her gray fur;
Get up before sunrise is done,
Although in bed I would prefer.

Twittering drifts from the birdbath,
   And trees are misty and dappled;
I will walk the lush garden path,
      My flowers glowing and tangled.

Sun breaks free of a swirling cloud,
   Oh sweet golden sunshine streaming;
High up in the sky now so proud,
And from my bed I come creeping.

Premium Member The Night Sky

Stars, like glowworms, surround the gibbous moon
Like cold mood of a play, blinks blue lit sky
Dark clouds, like ghostly shadow shows, puff up

Moon moves toward dusky clouds that puff up
A night heron flies across the full moon
Like Hera in black-blue gown, shines the sky

Angels enter, exit in scenic sky
Smokes, as though from Elysium, puff up
Skirting the boots of the silvery moon

Soul is bliss-filled by the charms that puff up
Heart is enchanted by the blue-whale sky
Mind muses on marvelous marble moon

Premium Member Sailing

The sails snapped in the wind as the yacht changed tack
soon to refill as the yacht skimmed over the sea racing onwards
riding the large waves with adapt aplume slicing them apart.

Dolphins playfully following as they leapt for pure joy
spinning several times before diving down deep.
Ganging up on a lurking shark they soon send it away.

The screech of pulleys as we prepare to tack once more
as the boom crashes past to be brought up sharp
when it takes all of the free lines and sails puff up.

The ocean is sparkling in the sunlight with white crested waves
as we round the headland and now can sail with the wind
the yacht leaning far over as her gib sail speeds her on.

Now it is time to add more canvas as we flash by
the winning line now in sight and with a great cheer
from the yacht club Casaroba crosses the line in first.

Abundant Autumn-Palindrome

Abundant Autumn

Cooling air with colouring redder skies
Fooling landscapes upon marram lies
Fuelling frosted with dewed sunrise
Ruling leaves falling from revver highs

Deciduous trees succus leaving nectars
Mellifluous winds creating rotor sectors
Ambiguous pigments in sexes of hectares
Conspicuous colours within noon reflectors

Brown yellow pop orange magenta & blue
Countdown waiting Hallows Eve to Boo
Around hanging monsters of kook stew
Gown dressing ghouls amidst tenet view

Pies of pumpkins with evil olive inside
Skies Autumn puff up stretching wide
Prize setting sun top spot forever eyed
Rise blue heavens for we few of pride.

...much to my surprise, this Autumn Palindrome poem can be read backwards lol
...extremely difficult to compose, because of the restricting Palindromes

1.marram – a type of grass
2.dewed – past tense of "to dew", meaning to cover with dew
3.revver – someone or something that revs (an engine)
4.succus – any of various liquids excreted by animals or plants
5.rotor – something that rotates
6.kook – a crazy person
7.tenet – a belief or principle

A Palindrome is a word or phrase which reads the same backwards as forwards.

Delight of the Drummer Boy

"...Maybe they would allow me to dance,
perhaps they would leave me to dance;
let me ask the landlords,
If they would permit me to dance.."

Forty horsepower!
Sixty horsepower!!
The horses can keep their power;
Yeye Asiwaju's power is sufficient.

Who would not be amazed?
Half a century of cultural dance:
Dangling head like a pruning pigeon,
Winding waist like a spider its web,
Throwing hands and legs like javelin,
Rock-still, yet rotating like a rolling coin;
Your magic baffles me.

Delight of drummer boy,
If I may ask, tell me:
Which nut bolts your bones?
Which hinges are on your joints?
Which spring bounces you?
What makes your bone unhollow?

Your antics like a parachute:
You can fold, you can unfold,
You can swerve, you can still:
You can puff up, you can sag down.

The day you became flame
Before the high and the lowly
Behold kings and queens
Craning out their necks on toes
To have a glimpse of the cone
'Dola, 'Dola rent the air.

Sure, it is now rhetoric;
It is now superfluous to ask:
Who can dance for the king
And his crown will fall?

Premium Member Charleston, Pre Spring

Pollen green 3 inches
Of allergen confection, powders outdoor landmarks.
A few ticks past dawn,
New birds, preflight,
Tune up their chirping chords,
Like nature's philharmonic, knowing the neighborhood
Is soon to enter their amphitheater, in, from their rooms of sleep.
Little lizards scurry, large clouds puff up and move through,
Steel blue, morning skies.
Sunshine coats deer and fox,
Chipmunk and squirrel,
And lovely life grooves
In time with God

Daddy, Set Me Free

Help me break bread at this table
Songs of my captivity
And in those four lines you’re learning to set me free
Where did you put the rope and muzzle
Where is it now?
Should I count it all with you?
Should I give up the stamp I’ve left on your memory?

But you know me
And that’s the impact
A rare understanding
that I couldn’t find the words to give them
But you knew, my captor read me
And I find these things in old words
Written in digital poetry
The void is no longer a mystery
I’m missing the essence of you
The understanding of our knowing laughter
Our observations that gave us air
To puff up our own thrones

And I, the spitting image of my disappointment
am left here empty
Bewildered, because it’s been made so that I need you
How would I love after you?
It was with you that I felt the ricochets of my affection
The heaviness of wanted blessings on your behalf
And I saw your faith waiver
And now they see me crack
Because from where I’m running
is where I need to go back

Joyous Island

Baby blue waters
Jumping dolphins play around
Mashed potatoes clouds
Puff up with confidence and delight
The Joyous Island is so much fun -
Childlike memories spent here
I admire the blooming miracles that I hold dear
Come and take a dip
Or a swim in the warm, sweet waters!
Watch out for the sinister, wicked shark!
Maybe we can borrow Noah's marvelous Ark!
The waters are wild and funky
The falcons sway in the spiraling breeze
Oceans aroma is pleasant to the nostrils
If you look closely at the sand, you'll spot puny daffodils,
Poking their heads out with glee and they're at ease
Dancing to and fro in the Blessed Breeze
Laying on the sand in peace,
Daydreaming...getting a tan
And I...am carefree
Like the sea creatures swirling with ecstasy
The waves are giant...
They descend and ascend...I tell them to stop pushing its gravity on me
They continue doing it playfully and defiantly
But, I'm secretly enjoying every moment of it
I love spending time in the Joyous Island
It's like living in flawless paradise
Crazy clams and chill crabs
Take a walk on sunshine...
I wish I can be like them,
Spending time in their Hopeful Homeland
That would be beyond amazing and grand!
Walruses take naps with their beloved family
I wish I could take a good break, but I'm too caught up in society
I need to escape from the over-packed city
'Cause deep down inside, I'm consuming angst, confusion, and pity
If I can take a vacation for at least a week
That would be neat...I just have to remain patient and meek
The Spring and Summer heat zip through me
The sun is shining with zealousness and possibly
It's showing me a sign that I should go swimming with sun-shining might
In the baby blue waters...before the gracious day turns to callous night!
Sending me hot chills and cool vibes
Have no worries - no need to stress, baby
Feel free to relax in Joyous Island and be happy-go-lucky

Bruised

Passing through, a passer through
Glimpse of the town under moon
True it left a sense of overused youth.
Stuck in a hamster ball,
As wide as you're tall
Keeping life alive is all
Dinner in 30 spins, make the call.
Clammy and cautious
Like preserving in a bathtub with ice cubes
God wasn't right, he was rude.
Cursed to puff up statements
That don't edify my placement
Of keeping straight in it.
Porous roofs let rainfall
Your pourous personality keeps you on the wall
Not spontaneous at all.
This town looks red
Frustrated and sky's come for the dead.
Fog interacts in your head.
Like you showered and left
To a cold situation,
Like the ski hills out west.
Or just a steamy head
And all the words you just read.
This town has patterns
That weave into lanterns
Light so bright
That beams into Saturn.
Relaxed people do it better
Grab your conscience and your sweater
Put yourself together.
I am one among,
People strung
For the same idea
That made them sing.

Who's Judging Who

Who’s judging who?

Who is judging who when you are being accused
Of being judgmental a word being so misused.

You are called judgmental if you do not agree.
So closed minded unwilling or unable to see.

Blinded by their pride and puff up with justification
Dare to speak up and you will be met with condemnation.

Stop judging me or who are you to judge is what I hear
Is it because of what you might be told is what you fear?

I say these things to you because I love you there is no end
So I will take my chances and speak up even if I offend.

We Don'T Need No Stinking Contests

We don’t need no stinking contests
Motivation’s deep inside.
Endless  golden cyber trophies;
Only serve to puff up pride.

N/As have accumulated
PS judge is pretty mean.
Why spend hours with pen being active
If we’ve no poetic gene?

We don’t need no competition.
Join the cynics’ bold crusade.
Add your name to my petition;
Join the ‘Bitter Bards’ Brigade’.

Just a minute! Email’s popped up-
Second placement! What a star!
Disregard my fulminations
This contender’s going far!

Blue Bird

You greet me with a happy chirp when I walk into the room.

I see your head turn and you puff up.

You're such a pretty bird.

When I stick my hand into the cage, you fly and land on the right side of the cage.

Then I extend my finger as I reach farther into the cage.

That's when you jump onto my hand.

You chirp and I call you pretty bird.

I motion for you to hop off my hand.

Blue bird, you are a really good friend.

Such a pretty bird...

Divinity - Part One

"Yes, I tell you as I can still dream every day.. I dream of Christmas."

"Clouds lay back as they rise, and fall puff up and billow all in illustrious efforts to greet the Sun.. and as I lay back I admire them and as I see their rising as they grow fuller in the distance they puff up higher and higher above the willows. As a light breeze picks up the leaves on the trees as they sway together in their dance; and so I lay out my hand catch a tumbling leaf by chance."

"Knowing nothing of Love Grace or Mercy, Peace. The leaf now represents for me my gift, of these greater things I give and so I say my life now all of it.. is all but nothing, or it is a joyous opportunity."

Tender tales tall tell timely in earnest the fervency.. Divinity relevancy, reality of the story." - "Stars shine bright cast their welcome liberally.. ."" -

"Sheen's of glassy rays of overt light sparkle freely in their delight." -
"Under the Moon laughter.. fills the night." "Swallows in their innocence.. wade about puff up full and billow.. ." -

"Shadow's in their whimsy way.. cast their welcoming in the warming." - "As the Weeping Tree weeps tears full as cool pool Shallows of Crystal
Rock and Alabaster Sands promote their gentle fondness upon the pond floor."" -

"Kindred the Swallows in their Promise, Beauty Honesty.. in the Moonlight they are one with Love." - "And running Felicitous.. touched by the union follows closely the Dove.. ."" -

"Divinity has found a home.""
