The dawn sun rose yellow and gold, And soft light pours in my window; The sun is rising up so bold, I puff up my cozy pillow. My cat has found a patch of sun, She is busy with her gray fur; Get up before sunrise is done, Although in bed I would prefer. Twittering drifts from the birdbath, And trees are misty and dappled; I will walk the lush garden path, My flowers glowing and tangled. Sun breaks free of a swirling cloud, Oh sweet golden sunshine streaming; High up in the sky now so proud, And from my bed I come creeping. ____________________ October 16, 2016 Quatrain (abab) For the contest, Three choices, Plus Two Sponsor, Sara Kendrick Second Place

oh yours is so lovely. I must go try to figure out her contest rules and try this. I am caught up with most of the contests I WANTED to do. Except for yours and two others. But there are other contests I will try later in the week though I am not as excited about them. Gotta take off for a while and hope to come back here and finish my comments! I am SO BEHIND, Constance. Loved this poem and your response to my limerick!
