Predictable, practical pose
as a simple sentence suggests,
accepting how the story goes,
while syllables shape silhouettes.

~ Simple scribbles serenade me ~

Paragraphs, hold poise and power
while illuminating passion,
and thoughts anticipate the hour,
forms flow in a feathered fashion.

~ Sonnets and sweet simplicity ~

Playful, parallel poetry
cause positions to part and pause,
dimensions divide, dive deeply,
and lines love to linger, because.

~ Synonyms sing a symphony ~

Parallel

Evening arrived scattering snowflakes,
I sought a solitary
Path
Through winter’s barren woods
Made magical this night
With glittering snow
Gracing every empty branch
Each twig
In the muffled silence of a downy dusk
And, thinking that I walked
Enfolded in the snowy twilight,
Only with myself,
I overlooked the footprints
Slowly walking
Side by side
With my own –
Unnoticed in the rhapsody
Of the winter’s stormy
Forest celebration
Until
The path uncurled around a curve
Revealing in the gathering dusk
Another traveler,
Familiar to my heart,
Plodding
Through the windblown drifts
Bent,
Stooping beneath a heavy burden
Slipping side to side
With every step
Until the baggage
Pulled
The bearer to the snowbound path –
A solitary figure
Captured in the jealous grip of gravity -
And so I left my reveries,
My path,
Crossing through the unmarked snow,
The snowy wall,
Between us
To lift the burden
Of my companion in the twilight
To follow in the footsteps –
In silence -
And
Knowing
I could not lead upon this path,
Nor walk within the chambers of another heart,
But only trace the tracks
Outlining the journey of my friend
In this brief moment of time and stars
Beneath a darkening sky
Till we would walk in parallel
Again.

PARALLEL AUTUMN SURPRISES

A ferris wheel of no return, she stood with rosy cheeks so fair; both day and night just wide rocky bridges of light and dark. All she needed was bulb of fresh start.. Three months pass after the love explosion happened, her pillar of strength taken for independence sake. Only candles of hope she has; slowly, slowly losing its glow. Her eyes were a train flood of crystal tears. Her heart jailed from loss but needed to be freed for the sake of a budding life. She opens her door day by day beaming a sunshine in her face. Her chest-buds bloom so graceful. Her tummy grows a robust breathing sphere. Parallel autumn surprises bring her to a sandwich salad showcase. A year passed, in a fragrant natural lair with the light bowing down on them, she planted a kiss on her baby's lips.

Hush... to ... rush...
Hush... to ... rush...
Teardrops held long tumble thunder
listless from her eyes
of rest and quiet
yet, her steady voice whispers
a storm...

Head... to ... toe
Head... to ... toe
Forlorn rose maiden exhaled-
cyclic shudders: wells of regret
like a ruined garden where blossoms frown,
green leaves too, turned brown.

Sun... to... rain...
Sun... to... rain...
Her life blossomed
amidst earthquake break of failures,
true love she finally receive--
it pardoned her wrongs.

Sighs... to... groans...
Sighs... to... groans...
Bright twinkling stars
tended safe the narrow path
as silhouetted liquid moon cajoles
her long bittersweet escape.

Kiss... to ... freedom...
Kiss... to ... freedom...
Her heartstrings strum endless:
her abounding joy!
Upon hopeful eyes mirror,
the sparkles of her infants tears...

In a Parallel Universe

In a parallel universe
Is there another me?
Somewhere in a parallel universe
Quite near, yet very far
In a magical world
Where I have long white wings
I wave them upon mighty Oceans
Against the ferocious storms
Rest them on crowded offshoots of dark jungles
And return back at night to the den
That lies up in mountains ___ above the clouds...

In yet another universe near by
Is there a different me__?
Trapped inside a cage
Wings atrophied__
The art of flying forgotten__
Even the desire __ to take a flight __is dead
Just walls __
And walks__ In a close loop...

Or is it just me?
One and only __ in the unlimited multiverses

But these feelings in my beating heart__
Something in my mind___ tells me
They exist...
Are they, like me, thinking about me__ right now?

What if one of them open a portal
And enter my world___
How would we feel?
Would we like each others’ life style?
Or is it, “grass is always greener on the other side”

But I wish her to be the one with mighty feathers
Would Swipe my life with her __ for a day or two
To feel my long dark hair
Floating on air waves
As I glide and soar high & high
Above the world
In a sweel parallel universe

Lying in my bed one night ,
I hear the quiet,
It does not feel at all right,
Something is about to take place,
In this disunited human race,
And then, the world that I knew,
Its comforts, my family, my dog,
My little pet frog,
My bicycle that took me
To school, No longer exist,
My arm is bleeding,
My heads’ spinning,
The noise, the blasts,
Impending
Bombs exploding,
Amongst all this chaos
I manage to find shelter near
What was my home,
An old photo of my parents
Floats up towards the sky,
Then down past me
Lands in front of
Something or someone strange
Who looks identical to me,
Am I dreaming,
This feels surreal.
A being extends their hand
To me without hesitation,
I am bewildered,
Petrified
Beyond imagination,
In sheer desperation, I accept,
Expecting the unimaginable,
The unfathomable,
A fog appears surrounding
Me as if it were a blanket,
I no longer feel like the target,
This being is gentle and kind
Our hands still entwined,
I am led up some stairs,
I turn around to see
The devastation,
The world behind me
Is an abomination,
Endless desecration,
I have nowhere to hide,
Don’t want to be left behind,
I enter a space where I
See familiar faces, my best friend,
My brother, my teacher,
My preacher,
The being tells me to not be afraid,
We are all on a crusade,
There are other familiar faces,
People I have met
During my lifetime on Earth
Selected¸
Destined,
To be reunited,
In a Universe
Of aeons far away
Where we would awake
Up one day,
On the banks of a watershed
Where we would tread
A new era, a greener place,
A new beginning
Where hopes would
Be brimming,
I felt humbled
I was to be a pioneer
An unknown spec of sand,
Among some
Of humanity who would
Begin a new world,
Part of a new universe
A parallel to the one destroyed
Whose population was no
Longer techno driven,
No hate or crime,
Just time,
Where you and I, would learn to
Survive all over again,
At a much slower pace,
Nothing anymore feels surreal
It is a new era dawning,
Along with a sense of belonging.

Enchanting
Is beauty of your love
Fragrant, colorful, blossoms of spring

Delighting
Robins on willow trees
To woo your summers in playful hints

Riveting
Your passions marigold
In musings gamboge of autumn's leaves

Fulfilling
Desires of snow white dreams
Kissing you as snowflakes are falling

Parallel Paradigm

What flickers of kindred spirit shone through,
To illuminate the caves of my mind?
What common tortures was I sure I’d find?
Which were the words that echoed such a clue,
That my dark demons were the same you knew?
Does fate hold purpose for these ties that bind?
I know that you help these nightmares unwind,
And that greater strength is forged between two.

Know that I have always loved you dearly,
That our two hearts share the same cuts and scars.
Our words give away more than we intend,
Though, I doubt I state those last words clearly.
We may try to hide behind locks and bars,
But reveal our soul to our truest friend ~

revelation of revelations!
an ordinary morning til..
discovery of discoveries
brittle chrysalis
upside down, branching
breathing, pulsing
I pause and
inspect the
pupa’s fortress
tight and hard as
childhood memories of
milkweed pods
splaying, splitting, dropping
fragments into the
pungent soil beneath

My birth sac
splits apart
Baptismal waters
run down my legs
he’s going to be a
football player the
doctor predicts.
one last push
spills my babe
onto linen’s
glaring whiteness.
oops, he’s a she
and so beautiful.

A parallel universe
repeats, reflects, completes
an ever changing
life cycle
sunshine dries
black and orange panes
tiny filaments of gossamer
wings shimmer silky white
against the opaque sun

Dad’s car delivers
mom and babe home
their newborn squalls.
her tiny fingers
curl in a tight fist.
each digit is a
prayer bead
chanting its presence.

I gaze in amazement
my mind awhirl
wings and elbows,
antennae and toes
displace space now that
seconds before was
unknown. unclaimed.

Parallel

Two soul bound shackled hearts
Whispered echos so devoted
What we share remains forever
Every love poem that is quoted

Not even in death shall we part
Living infinity in the multiverse
Together we remain parallel
Loving energy to never disperse

Legendary of all romances
Throughout space we are parallel
Loving each other deeply
All time epic romantic tale

Forever I am yours and you are mine
No other love shall ever surpass
Our love lasting an eternity
Together as time will pass

Higher than any mountain
Emotions deeper than any sea
Upon every breeze soaring
Where you are there’s always me

Premium Member A Parallel Universe

Imagine if there was a parallel universe
Somewhere out there in space
Other humans exactly like us
Living in the same time and place

This might spook a whole lot of people
Not me, I think it'd be great
To meet my alter ego in person
To ask questions of my parallel mate

Find out if he's sad when I'm down
Or happy, when I'm over the moon
Ask him what he thinks of the world's conflicts
Does he nap in the afternoon

There's a million questions I'd have for him
Like what's all this madness about?
Does he have a cure for the ills of the world?
Is our time on this planet running out?

There must be other forms of life out there
They'd probably look strange to us humans
Maybe they're still at a primitive stage
But we're all still part of the plan

Premium Member Workshop Poem: Third Parallel

My first love - when we ended,
They told me to pray to God,
And that he would make time,
My new best friend.
And with the love I had for you,
The despair I would fall out of.
My second love - when we ended,
They did not tell me anything,
For what really could they say?
I sit and watch the hands of grace,
Embalming memories of emotion.
Love forbidden to ever die but,
Peace in how under time it hides.
So I still know,
In spirits and parallels,
I am still with you both,
And this was never written.

#2

From a brunette final encore,
they told me to pray to God,
and that he would make time
my new best friend.
And with the love I had for you,
the despair I would fall out of, but
when blond strands reached split ends,
they did not tell me anything,
for what really could they say?
I sat and watched the hands of grace,
embalming memories of emotion.
Love forbidden to ever die, but
peace in how under time it hides.
So I still know,
in spirits and parallels,
I am still with you both,
and this was never written.

Parallel Love

From afar I watch the sun
That's setting in your eyes..
Shades of green melt into tangerine..
But I'm just a different hue
From violet to pink and blue
We may never be intertwined..
For we are parallel dimensions
Of the mind
But if I may say
The vibrance in your eyes
Is beautifully enchanting..

What if there actually was a parallel universe

And we were given the option when we pass on

To cross over and start all over again

We could keep on flipping back and forth

Forever and ever and ever, for eternity

Uhhh... the jury's out on this one

Would we really want to go through all those painful episodes

Of growing up and learning

Being a vulnerable young person

Full of hopes and dreams that possibly never get fulfilled

A parallel universe... an interesting topic

Amazing what the human mind can conjure up

Don't know about you guys but methinks

Once is absolutely enough for me!

Parallel Parking

Parallel parking on a private stow
For every row there was a foreign road
Waiting for night, my thoughts roam
Straightforward, straight towards her

To...say.. find another, another home
Goodbye my lover, goodbye my love

A voicemail harping and a dial tone,
Went to your door yet no one's home
And all my beliefs lay there on your wreath,
Intertwined with stems and leaves
Fastened to a... ring

Goodbye Hanna, goodbye home
Goodbye forever, forever I'll roam
