Winter’s shroud
Urges meditation
Adornment so scant    only
Heaven’s light to cheer the lonely

In springtime though
Peeping buds awaken
Tiny origins thrust
Ease one’s contemplation

Tulips germinate
Sans nature’s later flow

To roiling roots below
