It all started in North Carolina Home of my heart and physique I don’t think it’s praised in China Because of such blazing mystique It began at Keystone Camp in Brevard Where children were so delighted To discover the wonders endeavored By those creative minds, so excited It was like a sort of storybook dream Reflections of joy inspired by the heat Christmas in July was the big theme Stockings for Santa made it all complete It felt like a joy beyond all belief Hearts were adoring all the festivities The spirit of Christmas was such a relief From the regular camping activities! Gina, congratulations on your win dear friend! Your poem is filled with the delight of Christmas any time of year. I spent several summers camp counseling during college. They are among my most treasured memories. I love the fact that you chose summer camp as a setting for Christmas in July as celebrating Christmas is never out of season! Blessings of Christmas joy to you!
