Premium Member The Maltese Moon

The Maltese Moon,
she draws my eyes
to shapely orb
in starlit sky
she smiles at me
with wanton grace
and spills desire
upon my face
I'm all awash
in milky glow
sacred secrets
Mine to know...

the Maltese Breeze
he flirts with me
can't let me be
his fingers trace
my rounded face
my hair he twirls
my skirt's a whirl
he has no care
this Maltese Breeze
alone can dare
dishevel me
and set me free

The Maltese Sea
now beckons me
wets my desire
in moon glow fire
that rides the waves
as my heart craves
His liquid arms
and all his charms
This Maltese Sea
so vast so free
is calling me
is calling me....

I close my eyes
as Maltese Air
caresses my lips
in great fanfare
I breath him in
in sheer delight
invigorated
by his might
I pause a while
my life on hold..
my heart, it beats
so brave, so bold

The others, they just
walk on by
and yet I wait
alone, I sigh
Awash in light
of Maltese Moon
the Maltese Breeze
just simply croons
and Maltese Sea
he, murmurs sweet
and I am lost
In Maltese treat

The magic starts to fade away
I start to walk, I cannot stay
They've called me from my reverie
I rush to catch up with the three
but turn for one more blessed glance
at Maltese Moonbeam's fond romance
There's more to me than what they know
more passion than what I can show

The Maltese Moon, she smiles at me
For we have shared sweet ecstasy

The Maltese Maiden

There was once a maiden who lived by the sea

with lustrous lips that dried too soon

like early dew perched on a tree .

She once was beautiful with skin so fair

A veil of lilacs covered her hair.

Her eyes the brightest of moonglow beams

Her voice, a drifting wave on a late night breeze.

Her dimpled smile lit each dark alley

Her carefree spirit reached every valley.

This little maiden had never married

though noble blood her womb has carried.

Undressed from innocence, her tender flesh

has felt the warmth of drunken breath.

His fingertips exposed her neck

and then trailed down along her back.

She couldn't move, She couldn't scream

At last, She ran not to be seen.

She ran so fast to be set free

She raised her son, lone by the sea.

Premium Member Suzanne's Impish Maltese

Eyes gleam onyx-black, white silky hair gently flows
Pampered with kisses, hugs and chic bows
It's Suzanne's impish Maltese
The first lap dog, from Old Greece
Sparking heart-rending love which glows, spreads and grows

Snowball painted my life with all hearts
He would fill our canvas with his love
For twelve years we played our parts
Like two little angels from above
That were married like a ball to a glove

How a little Maltese captivated me
He was so faithful, sincere, and true
He would jump onto my lap and knee
And scamper to my sock and shoe
Nose sniffing my body through and through

He loved to play outside in the yard
We played, danced, and skipped to his treats
Yet his eyes would always be on guard
Barking at the passersby off the streets
And lapping at the sparrow's tweets

Twelve years we lived like husband and wife
The paintbrush of life rolling with the days
It was the happiest time of my life
Until the sun kneeled down in a blaze
I yelled, saw redness, and cried as he lays

Premium Member Dragon's Breath

Coco is a Maltese who weighs about nine pounds,
She is most happy when her family is around.

Her heart is bigger than she and full of love,
Her kisses are as soft as the voice of a mourning dove.

Though her kisses are sweet, they come with an aroma of death,
For they are wrapped in dragon’s breath.

ODE TO MALTESE

01/04/2014

I HAD A WHITE PUPPY
WHO WAS FLUFFY AND LIGHT.
MY SON NAMED HIM HOTWHEELS
BECAUSE IT FIT RIGHT.

I WOULD TAKE HIM OUTSIDE
TO RUN HIS ENERGY ABOUT.
HE WOULD ALWAYS STOP TO SMELL ROSES,
EVEN IF IT WAS RAINING OUT.

HOTWHEELS WILL ALWAYS
STAY CLOSE TO MY HEART;
FOR HE WAS SO SAD WHEN WE WERE APART.
EACH VISIT EXCITEMENT WAS EASY TO SEE,
ONCE AGAIN I APPEARED
FILLING HIM WITH GLEE.

AND EVERY NIGHT WE WOULD LAY
ALL CUDDLED IN BED.
HIS EYES WOULD MEET MINE
NOTHING NEEDED TO BE SAID.

SO WHEN I COME VISIT
EVERY NOW AND THEN;
JUST ONE NUZZLE SHOWS HIM
 I AM HIS FRIEND.

Premium Member In the Blink of An Eye

The old Luzzu lies on a slipway beneath the sun’s strong rays
In one of Malta’s most beautiful Mediterranean bays

An elderly fisherman gasps when he sees the damage on his luzzu boat

With current rising costs, he can ill afford the to keep this Maltese treasure of a boat afloat

Tears streams down his eyes as he inspects the state of the bow and the stern

The sorry sight gives him heartburn

And his face puckers up knowing the unpredictable weather is mainly to blame
Even the colour of the sea does not look the same

His youngest son stands beside him and consoles his father

               But he cries harder

Suddenly, the old man clutches his chest and drops to the ground

The son screams for help but there is no one around

Premium Member A Lively Maltese

On Lake Huron roamed a lively maltese
who chased seagulls with her little niece
But then two birds soared by
swooped them up to the sky
Now they’re off flying south with geese
