A Maltese Trifle

Pretty crystal dish that holds
A rainbow delight
Layers of coloured custard
Jam spread sliced sponge cakes
Sprinkled with sherry
Meringue topped
Dream!

Trifle is one of my favourite sweets; my mum used to insert layers of ricotta mixed with cordial peel....mine is less complicated, but hers tasted better! she also sprinkled coconut on top with chocolate, instead of the meringue. // off to bed; will be back to you...tomorrow...goodnight! // paul
