Premium Member Barefoot Tangerine Moon

Barefoot in luxuriant grass, luscious, pearl moonlight falling down,
In the golden season of sensual thrills, in the hours without sound,
Underneath the tempting tangerine tree, eating of its fragrant fruit,
With the stars dancing to tomorrow, by enigmatic, invisible routes.

Barefoot in peaceful dreamland, caressed softly by romantic moon,
When the ebony world lies in waiting, for the yellow canary's tune,
Barefoot in tangy tangerines, in the warm, soft, wandering breezes,
In the darkest hours of sleepless night, when it seems time ceases.

Premium Member Indulgent Love

Like melted chocolate,
words dripping
from his velvety tongue
rippled to her heart;
she tasted their rich flavor,
inhaled the aroma,
succumbing to
emotional intoxication.
She craved for more...
Seduced by luxuriant words,
her defenses weakened,
overpowered
by an irresistible urge
to bathe in love’s indulgence.

Opulent pleasures
caressed her thoughts.
Each syllable drew a sigh.
Her wish: to be sated
His unspoken promise: to fill her
with abandon – to thrill her.
She no longer dared
inhibit the demands
her soul was making;
this was hers for the taking.
Warning signs: DENIED!
She tasted the sweetness
gratifying her cravings
in his indulgent love.

Premium Member Coconut Scented Dreams

Luxuriant black hair
Trails your naked body
Soothing all those places
Seared by my burning lips

Waves of silky curls
Cascade over you
Following the rise and fall
Flirting with your fingers
Inviting gentle tugs

Midnight strands curtain your face
As your body emulates
The motion of lips and tongue
A black waterfall of ecstasy

Coconut scented dreams
Of long wavy black hair
Keep a smile there on your face
Until I’m again in your arms

"Human mind knows no constraints. Without spending time or money, one can make an odyssey into the outer space and even into other planets. What is needed is the fuel of imagination." - By Poet

Outside, the night was gathering strength
How swift our lightning Sputnik,
Out running the speed of sound and light
Shot into space with a violent jerk, leaving us psychotic.

At a distance were luminous spheres
Suspended like glowing lanterns
Comets and meteors in hyper space
Seemed more like diffused patterns

An asteroid came whizzing towards us.
I closed my eyes in dreadful shock,
Fearing a terrible head on collision.
Thank God! It deviated from our track!

I looked at my friend seated beside
Obviously not here, lost in thought!
Looking down, I saw Mother Earth
A luminous ball, not bigger than a sapphire dot

Oh! How quickly we landed on Mars
It is so different from what I had learnt
Neither a barren belt of sterile terrain
Nor a rugged stretch of craters burnt

But a heavenly place so cool and serene
Full of scintillating scenes and ravishing sights
We, the emissaries from a far away land
Were warmly received by a team of alien sprites

The weight of the world suddenly lifted from us
We bounced up and down almost floating in the air
Found ourselves in a gorgeous garden
With springing fountains and blossoms fair

Trees were laden with dazzling gems
Lagoons and lakes of liquid silver
Vast expanse of tawny vistas
Plains waving with luxuriant verdure

What fun…! Hmm…over there,
Nothing like those seen on planet Earth
A herd of animals so strange and rare
Grazing on red grass in a canyon of great width

Our restless eyes scanning all around,
We accelerated our pace in rising delight.
As we were eager to explore every bit of ground,
We moved forward with enthusiastic gait.

Sudden was the sound I heard behind
And saw my mother standing near
Puzzled and confused as I looked around
In my ears her voice fell ringing clear-

“You lazy one, know this is exam time”
Rough and curt was her angry tirade.
“Again you can’t play a dumb mime”
Her words made my afternoon reverie suddenly fade

I saw my open book sneering at me
And my uncovered syllabus, a vast sea

Winter breath is its sequel
As pallid teardrops emulsify
Clearly, into ponds of dawn shining gleam
A dawn bird breaks the silence
Amid buzzing melodies
Fully flowing faith in feeler flowers.

Nature's warmth brings hues to life
Mixing shades for a kaleidoscope,
ecstatic waltz,
luxuriant buds, luscious and enriched,
Sweet, perfumed threads of envy,
Softly whispered on a fresh breeze.

Meadows grew using earthly sources
Dreams that sustain life,
Restoring the essence of spring, resume.

Your silence,
a stillness of alluring patience
seductive in it's resilience,
suspicious magnificence,
unmatched beauty demanding vigilance
making this man rowdy and restless for your finesse,
distressed by this drama of love's test,

You're the only woman scratching this chest
with passion's raging arrest, nails of sharp zest,
the supreme Queen keeping me raw and hard, my only quest,
I'm confessing you are the best, the most luxuriant caress, my unhesitant request,

I want every feeling you're capable of conceiving Babe,
knowing and revering your eclectic emotions, your unspoken demands,
burning for your paradon and kiss, you will always know I am love in your hands
share with me the fuel of fervent fire, gems be our eyes, together, golden pulse we've made -

Premium Member I'M Not Real

I’m not real….
I’m a woman woven from wonder’s imagination
Ethereal….the cotton candy of a dream
the glow and sparkle of a stream
the luxuriant lusciousness of cream
the sparkle that scintillates the surreal
the smooth softness of silky feel
But I’m not real…

I’m the sparkle left of angel dust
the fair fairy in fiction’s feast
the tantalizing temptation tease
the benevolence of balmy breeze
Oh….
But, I’m not real

I’m not real…
You catch only glimpses of me
in what I want to reveal
What I want to conceal
I’m not real….
but when you read
those little rhymes
and poetry lines
Those emotions that you feel?
Those?
Yes!
Those are real….

She That Rivaled The Glowing Moon

Thy *hyacinth* hair upon white shoulders laid bare
thy face, mirror of love in heavenly skies.
The miracle of thy body, so sweet and fair
its soft innocence, destroyer of worldly lies.

Walking behind thee, in steps where an angel trod
among meadows, flowering in moonbeams there cast.
Must be a heaven for thou art proof of a God
that giveth to mankind a beauty that shall last.

Thy touch, ecstasies that rival paradise
ravishing smile, cool breeze blowing on a hot beach.
In all the universe only thee will suffice
to heal my aching soul and my heart, true love teach.

Thou art my *Irene*, that I drink of thy calm!
Blessed am I, to be soothed by thy kiss balm.

Note- I had her but my mad wild streak( I was 18 years old) drove her away..
She saw something in me that back then (1973), that could not stay..
Only many decades later, could it reemerge to remain and slay my demons....

Premium Member Love Cannot Be Manufactured

Love cannot be manufactured
in the grit and grunt factory
MAKE IT HAPPEN mentality
Is lame
Love is a blinding light reality

Perhaps more like a gentle awakening
A growing awareness of a fragrance
whose permeation has reached fullness
Becoming heady, strong
It’s been there all long
But now it burst into throaty song

Love cannot be manufactured
Love cannot be commanded
It cannot be stolen
Enticed
Love refuses to be BOUND

No, Love is an entity
that VISITS
that touches.
When welcomed,
LOVE LOVES TO DWELL-
an indwelling spirit
It places a DO NOT DISTURB sign
on the heart's door
Protecting the union of souls
from the prying eyes outside

Love cannot be manufactured
This I have learned
As a testament to this timely truth
I DECLARE:
Love cannot be manufactured

I love you,
I declare
With my own poetic flair

In this, my meaning, luxuriant
Let my love your heart satiate

For my love,
Be sure of this:

Love cannot be manufactured
I love you
And on this Declaration of Dependence on You
I rest my case!

Premium Member Where Did She Go

Alone in my office
after a full day of teaching
I sit
catching my breath
looking at the picture
next to the phone
a baby girl
poses for the camera
big grown eyes
chubby cheeks
impish grin
a discarded toy behind her
smiling for daddy
so full of mischief and joy
Where did she go?

I look at pictures behind me
The young woman
Slim
Beautiful
Self- confident
voluptuous
sexy
luxuriant hair
sparkling smile
the poser
gregarious, vivacious, full of life
Where did she go?

I look into the ornate mirror
a woman in her forties
black hair starting to show white
pinned up high
a crown of curls
her one vanity
but it brings
no hint of a smile
tears gather
in those big brown eyes
a sigh
here she is
here she is….
that little girl
turned young and pretty
then middle aged
sage
no longer in her prime
she sits and wonders
about the passage of time
Questions surface...
Why have her dreams died?
Why must she be denied?
When was the last time
She truly felt alive?

Yes
Here she is
And soon she’ll go…
her heart fills with sorrow
there is still so much of her
that remains
unknown...

God's Own Country

A short pleasant drive through the pathway
Between the impenetrable woodlands lying untamed -
Cradled by soft wind, the scenic lush foliage I gaped at
During my recent visit to my homeland
Enriched and cheered my dreary mind;
Fresh breeze, so pure, gently tousled my hair
Giving me a feel that right then I was
Heading towards a heavenly hamlet; the
Idyllic green cover was embellished with mangoes, enormous and
Jackfruits, huge. The flowering trees with vivid blooms formed a
Kaleidoscope of colours glinting in soft sunlight after a drizzle;
Lofty trees shaped a canopy of leaves, so artistic, and glued
My eyes to its pristine rustic charming beauty:
No wonder this land is called ‘God’s Own Country’ -
Of all the beautiful places, here is Nature at Her best!
Ponds, lakes and streams were fringed with long
Queues of coconut trees, some leaning over the lakes -
Reflecting and glistening in the water below;
Shh! The soft silvery clouds and the misty hills seemed
To be engaged in a cosy-chat - so dreamy and enchanting;
Upon the luxuriant land sprawled large spindly rubber trees -
Verdurous, lined up in orderly rows - so mystic - as if
Wishing to whisper a secret in my ears. Listening to
Xylophone music from my son’s mobile, so peaceful, my mind
Yearned to glance more at Her graceful face!...as the
Zig-zag road, untiring, unfurled before my eyes, with its twists and turns.

Premium Member Where Is My Love

I trudge alone through yet another day.
Invisible folks pass me by.
Only I know how much I long for you.
I wait alone for joy to fill my lonely soul.
When I can share some sort of love
With the woman who should return love to me?

I reach out even to infinity but find only cold winter.
I yearn for luxuriant spring but it seems far away.
Enticing dreams come. Grotesque dreams go.
There are endless murky miles between us
Yet it will not deter my frisky flight.

I soar into any pleasant vacuum,
I'll risk my very sterile life.
And when finally I'll find you
I'll caress your soft smooth cheeks.
We'll be immersed in our happiness
And celebrate our new found felicity.

Premium Member Time's Passage

Vernal springtime is departing,
Leaving plush carpets of petals,
All along scented garden paths,
And also in luxuriant meadows.
The sun has grown deep orange,
With distinct traces of old gold.
Stars embedded in purple flash,
As moon magic charms the hills.
Rosy halcyon days are leaving,
And the mellow hours are near.
