Tanka By Night

nature lies in bliss
tastes luxuriant delights
under the moonlight
land and sea are making love
lapping waves caress the shore

:) In this case, I wasn't going to let the dimmer light of moon stop me, Paul. Hugs, Julia, xx

Hi Van...thank you for stopping by. Hope I have been of some help! That 3rd line is known as a pivot...the poem rotates on it. Imagine reading the first 3 lines on their own...then reading the last 3 lines on their own. // paul

Dear Paul, What creative imagery you have in your Tanka! I enjoy thinking of the "land and sea" making love beneath the moon as waves "caress the shore." You have a passionate heart. Love, Carolyn

Thank you Carolyn! Life bereft of passion or romanticism would indeed be colourless and bare. Nature too merits its share of uplifting emotions. Have a nice day! hugs // paul
