Best Lovey Dovey Poems

First Look At My Love

I saw you today with a lovely brightened smile
I felt you today in the morning for a while
My heart pounds, My heart sings
That your beauty has no endings

I heard you today of voice sweetened and mellow
I felt you today but couldn't even say a 'hello'
My ear drums roll with my heart on the whole
That you're my everything

I touched you today on your lips for a while
I missed you today every inch of the mile
My heart aches, My heart makes
That you're my lovey dovey

Ooh la la, the rose, coronate her beauty.
Her ruffled scent, her hues, dare not refuse.
When petals red, like strawberry-fruity,
and lovey-dovey white, one must persue.
Persistent veil of mist will kiss one’s soul,
will kill one’s love for any forthright bud.
She’s no petulant child, a fine trompe l’oiel.
Commands perfume’d ascent of pulse, life’s blood.
Beneath the fray, a thorn’d adversary
will snag the jugular of swivel-head.
Her red pursed lips, dove-skin, a bit scary.
Don’t be tempted to find another’s bed.
She stands ten feet tall-er than uncut weeds.
She possesses a prowess set that leads.

Premium Member Rudolph And Rainey Reindeer

Rudolph and Rainey Reindeer, had a special love that glows
And if you ever saw them, you would even say it shows

All of the other reindeer, hear them whisper lovey-dovey names
And they all also see them, playing lovey-dovey games

Then one Merry Christmas Eve, Rudolph came to say
"Rainey with your eyes so bright...Deerling, won't you marry me tonight"

Oh my, how Rainey loved him, she said "I do" so happily
Then Rudolph and Rainey married, and they both went down in history

Hey sweet sugar dumplin', your love's the only somethin'..
I keep thinkin' of...
My heart just keeps a thumpin', and I can't think of nothin'...
but you're sweet love...

Your love's all I need...
You mean so much to me...
It's so plain to see...
You will always be....

My sweet sugar dumplin'...shug-shug-sugar dumplin'...
Gettin' all my love...
Sweet sugar dumplin', the only sugar dumplin'...
I'll be thinkin' of....

You will always be...
the only love for me...
The better half of me...
Come share you're love and be.....

My shug-shug-sugar dumplin'...sweet sugar dumplin'...
Lovey dovey love...
Your love's the only somethin' that keeps my heart a thumpin'...
and thinkin' of....
You sweet sugar dumplin' and nothin' nothin' nothin'.....
but you're sweet love.

Those kisses from behind
when I cooking supper
make me feel so wonderful

It is like being a newly wed
you taste wonderful
mixed with sauteed vegetables

Like you love a dab of onion behind my ear
those little bites you feed me
and then I share could make the blind see

And although I have kissed those lips a million times
it is not enough for me
I pray to be doing this with long white hair
on into our destiny

I just feel like being silly. I am going through the most wonderful
time with my husband of 26 years. He has become Romeo and
I have become putty in his hands. So be looking for cliched lovey dovey junk. hehehe

Missing You

The feelings for you makes me lovesick sometimes,
missing the lovey-dovey we had.
Remembering the passion of our past times.
UHHH! Makes me go mad!
The dreamy eyes of yours,
leaves me in an infatuation.
It's like you break all my doors,
and conquer my nation.
Your attractiveness gets me so captivated.
The romance you showed me privately,
is just overrated!

Burst the Bubble

I got nothing but love for you,
baby boy, you're my best friend
We been through a whole lot together,
best buds forever, thick and thin

Now I wouldn't be looking out for you,
if I let you keep getting dumped on this way
You can't see it with those lovey-dovey eyes,
but you been getting treated like a doggone stray

You got put out of your own house,
what, are you a man or a mouse
You're taking the bus, while she's driving your car
You took a shine to being henpecked way too far

I hate to be a homeboy hater,
but that's how the situation be
I hope you listen, 'cause good advice is hard to come by,
especially when it's given free

You say you love her,
I feel you, cool ... that's fine
You say sharing is good
but you always pay the bill
when you and her wine and dine

You say she loves you too
I hear you, cool ... that's sweet
She says equality is good,
but every place you both go,
she never pulls out the purse and treat

I hate to be a Fred Flintstone,
but you're looking like a Barney Rubble
Hate to have to break it to you this way,
boy, I hate to have to burst your bubble

I hate to be a Wilma Flintstone,
but you're acting like a Betty Rubble
Hate I had to break it to you this way,
I really hate I had to burst your bubble

Love You

Inside I'm freaking out
You never said good night
No lovey dovey I love you
Or sweet dreams, sleep tight
I hope ur phone is on the fritz
I feel like I did something wrong
Listening to Christina perri
A thousand years, our song
I hate not saying good night
And I love you before bed
There is a method to my madness
Because of the things that I dread
What if u don't wake up
Or if I don't wake up one day
I really need I love you to be
The last thing that we say
Life's to short We have found that out
In ways we never thought
And look at what we have together
For years it's what people sought
My heart, my love, my body, my soul
I share the All with you
And all I ask in return
Is you share that with me too

Valentine's Day On Steroids

Lovey-dovey love birds flying in the air.
Singing the sweet melodies of love with such flair.
Dancing with pleasure and lots of excitement.
Embracing, caressing and kissing with enticement.
Candlelight dinner for the romance to flare.
Red roses, dark chocolates, fancy cards everywhere.

Such a waste of money, effort and time to mingle.
Couldn't it be less celebrated and more simple?
Is Valentine's day on steroids or I'm just a jealous single!

Mother-Made Moments

mother-made moments should be soft and squishy
not filled with terror or just plain icky

mother-made moments should comfort and soothe
not leave you feeling like you've been royally screwed
they are supposed to feel like super softie towels
freshly out from the dryer
or like a kite on a breezy day
effortlessly flying higher and higher

mother-made moments should be strong as a boulder
full of helping-hands-up you'll remember when
you are older

mother-made moments should wipe away the tears
address, then erase all your fears
with lovey-dovey hugs
and mugs
of freshly made hot coco
with the mini marshy-mellows floating on top

mother-made moments should leave you feeling wonderfully wise
squaring off your shoulders as you
look at people directly in their eyes
they should give the gift of loving you just where you are
saying your apple-cheeks and eyes are brighter
and prettier than all of the stars

mother-made moments should always be truly for your best
should be there always whenever you need a rest
offering wise counsel
and a pencil to take notes with

mother-made moments when scooped up altogether
should be a big fluffy bundle of love
waterproof in any kind of weather
a lifetime legacy celebration of truth
that there is nothing
and no one
she loves more
than you

that's what mother-made moments should be

Wedding Breakdowns

the joys of marriage become memorable with unforseen breakdowns

Late night frolicking and teasing continued
Dancing and music lasted till early hours
With a beating heart and ignited nerves
I lay nervously on bed wondering what lay ahead

My groom arrived with a garlanded brow
Our marriage was performed with religious fervour
While the priest read out our marriage obligations
We walked in tow four times around the holy book

Family pressures had made my groom suspicious
Whether it was really me or else behind the veil
He bent and peeped lifting the veil slightly
Much to the chagrin of the priest and mirth for family

After the family lunch we drove down to his home in another city
His car broke down for a breather on an isolated road
My groom romanced on the ground beneath his car in the summer heat
While I all decked and drenched, bent down to observe him in greasy repair

In final disparity of three breakdowns we ultimately reached home
Bathed and refreshed we were having a lovey-dovey talk
When there was a loud bang, we opened the door to find a smiling friend,
He was unable to reach the marriage venue as his car had broken down!

Are You a Man

 Lovey-dovey, honey puff!
You're a hero, if your wife
Thinks of these words
When they say
Of her husband
And you're not gay.

How I Found Love and Lost It Part One

I only said it, to make you smile back
You wouldn't say it back

I like to shy away from the world
To silence the thoughts
don't have to think about the camera girl
With soft locks
Just stick my head in a book, my masking mistook
I think I killed the atmosphere
It's okay, it wasn't so great in here
Some say my vocabulary is full blown
And some say I'm a misanthrope
Oh ho, you couldn't wait to say hi
Is she looking at us? just smile and wave
I don't know what she's saying
Does she want us to come over?
You do it, now say it
Oh you disappoint me

She's a party girl if I ever saw one
And I only saw one in my brother’s black room
Air always smelled like a Hippie reunion
And I'm pretty sure they were all doing shrooms
She's a Rhythmic, non-cynic, hygienic class act
She likes to speak like a debaucherous Nazz
I don't know what I want
But I know what I need is her
Stay right here
I'll get the girl

Can't sleep as I think of a song
I can't remember the words but it went bom bom bom bom
my wind, my world
Ah, Those dreams with my girl
Ever notice in the life of your dreams
You're never self-loathing, or nervous or mean
It's so fine
Good times
All sorts of lives
With her hand in mine

Time and time again, I'm on the far side of Earth
They say it's different as you get old
But I doubt I'll stop myself from looking too dumb
Where is that so called spirit you speak of?

"Oh stop, you silly boy.
I told you I like you as a friend.
Oh is this for me? Why thank you.
We're still just friends.
Oh my now you say you love me.
We were just friends a week ago.
You're too attached.
It's okay, we all get that way sometimes.
Here, let's go for a ride."

"See all the boys think of me as a temptress
Like I use guys and make them do my bidding.
But you'll find I'm just trying to be nice.
We can't all be lovey dovey.
What's a girl to do?"

Feeling sappy on my own
I know someday I'd make you turn
Well it's the classical pneumonic state you're in
I can’t believe this wild wicked sin
It's in your genes, it's in your blood
It's 90 degrees
Let's flood flood flood
Time to do it tonight

Bare Foot Joey Mcphearson

my buddy John's Bertram a wood antique
I fixed the engines while he varnish teak
so there we were Joe, John, and Kelly
with a cooler packed with bait so smelly

early in the morning waz headin out the creek
big blue marlin we'ze goin to seek
40 miles past the thirty fathom curve
dropping lines for the bait we serve

John watched the lines Kinda like a cop
we had two on the bottom and 4 on top
did everything me'z could do with me'z fishin power
then John grabbed the hook up on the 3rd hour

all of a sudden it looked like a good day
when the Blue jumped we said "marlin on the way!"
the fish was pulling, screeming out line
"hurry! get John in the harness on time!"

"oh man! the stories we'll tell on the way"
"only if you get that fish in today!"

myself, Joey and Kelly, we placed our bet
while John was cranking,"I'm covered in sweat!"
there we were just having a laugh
as Joe leened over 1 hand on the gaff

the marlin came up threw Joe's chest with it's spear
then the line popped and they both....dis..apeared
.......................
we tried hard to find our friend in trouble

...............................
looking a long time without even a bubble
......................................
......................................
....................................
.."why didn't I grab Joe! I'm just a Fool"
we didn't go home, till low on fuel
it was hard to tell Joes wife about the fack
that Davey Jones took em and won't give him back
