Premium Member Stoicism is the Key

In silence, when darkness
envelopes the sky,
unlock the glass windows
of your mind,
forgive the stars
that veiled their silver,
for it is in times of
confusion and calamity,
we paint our own
rose wine twilight,
that scintillates beyond
fleeting fog of time and sanity.

Sometimes, we forget to
appreciate nature’s performance,
as life seems to be a
black gold theatre of
manipulative mantras.
We rise as actors dressed in
dancing stripes of integrity,
pirouetting like a merry-go-round
of lights, guiding our destiny.
Where melodramatic monologues
of melancholic laws
remain tucked away deep,
beneath a charismatic mattress
woven across turquoise trampolines,
of tranquil testaments and tiger lilies.

But as the curtains swiftly fly
into thin crimson layers of air,
trust the silence, for when
everything’s louder,
we find contentment in
compassionate places we encounter,
sowing seeds of love, whilst we hope;
brushing off negativity’s echoes,
to clutch onto inner healing’s rope,
and surrender to its throes.

So allow the invisible wand
of your soul that sears
to sprinkle pixie-dust upon
the backbone of cascading fears,
let your heartbeat ring
and strum every
metallic string of faith,
whilst thin veins in
throbbing waves hum,
“Kindness is the healing
stone and stoicism is the key of life”

Poets
Dreamers
We dream with eyes open
Manipulators of time and space

Masters of imaginary universes
Warriors
Lovers
Healers

Nothing is beyond our reach
Pen in hand
Heart allowed to flow free
Words the oxygen we breath

Dark
Hopeful
Philosophers of our day
Pointing the way
Wishing to be heard
Will others see beyond the words
To where the wisdom lay
We all have our roles to play

So yes we dream
With our open eyes
Hoping others realize
We don't wish to disguise
Yet sometimes hearts lie

If you look underneath
The metophor
You will find a key to the hidden door
In the end
Thats all we are asking for

A Key

a broken heart awaits its somber fate
the hands of time have made it beat too weak
to find the pulse of love it used to seek
it fades within a burdened soul abate
then hides the key that frees the chains of weight
within a soul where darkness seems to peak
it cannot beat in harmony nor speak
without the stroke of time to guide its gait

a gallant soul i give this gift to you
break free these chains that weigh this heart of mine
awake from dreams a restless soul to see
a heart that beats an endless pulse anew
and sees again how fate and love entwine
when souls in love through time find ways to be

Premium Member Enthusiasm Is the Key

Enthusiasm is the key
To the attitude that will open doors
To your future

Enthusiasm is the ideal
You will want to strive to muster as much as possible
To live the life you want to live

To fully find your bliss
To live your most honored life
The one you set up before you arrived, be enthusiastic.

If you have learned nothing else, learn that.
Enthusiasm, faith and love.
Will open all the doors.

Premium Member A Key For My Heart

You have the key that opens my heart,
It was locked deep within not to depart.

I gave this key for you to look and see;
Your choice was to open it and set me free.

With this key you will be able see,
We have a special place you and me.

Your heart and my heart in our nest,
Makes what we have the very best.

Wherever I go you are always with me,
From nightly dreams to the mighty sea.

Every morning when I awake,
I look to your eyes for a keepsake.

My love for you is forever true,
I just want to say "I Love You"

Premium Member The Key To My Heart

You have found the key to my heart
It’s safe in your care when we are apart
The door is locked as you can see
You only have to turn the key

Put the key in the lock and give it a turn
You’ll ignite the fire; the passion will burn
You know you mean the world to me
Forever in my heart you will always be

Hold on to the key don’t give it away
Together forever we will always stay
We share a love that’s oh so true
I’m glad I share my heart with you

Inspiration for this is a song I heard on the radio with the line 'Key to my heart'

she enters the room gracefully
belying the heartache inside
her tale of loss floats through the air
like a windblown kite

a mother, child, and death
reduced to silhouettes

her vision rips a hole
where there should be love
from this pulpit
with its congregation of one

windswept clumps of grass
beach scattered with broken shells~
gulls lift on currents

sandpipers feed along
beach scattered with broken shells~
tiny legs twinkle

shorebirds feeding on
the tides endless offerings~
tiny legs twinkling

each day it changes
the tides endless offerings~
waves wash shifting sand

changing on each day
seabirds gather on sandbars~
waves wash shifting sand

ocean reflects sky
on sandbars seabirds gather ~
sleeping in warm sun

ocean reflects sky
people under umbrellas~
sleeping in warm sun

windswept clumps of grass
people under umbrellas~
gulls lift on currents

Celebrate the joy

You have lived another day

Spectrum in the sky

By the grace of God, go I

Join the sundown revelry

*Each day in Key West, they have a party outside to watch the sun go down. It is
quite a magical moment if you are able to participate and offer thanks.

Premium Member The Key - a Poem For Darren Watson

What was once a matching pair are now so very far apart
You hold one key, I hold the other, you are forever in my heart

I use the key daily, and it always reminds me of you
A gift unique and special and I know you use yours too

Lullabies In Twilight Key

In sonnets on a moonlit night
across the heavens oh so far
Melodically in soothing sounds
while wishing on a falling star

Neath wispy clouds of charcoal mist,
horizons painted sunset glow
Wafting softly on a breeze
gently in a tranquil flow

Serenades on velvet skies,
harmonically this weary eve
Affection played of every wish,
lullabies in twilight key

So find these lyrics I now pen
flowing from my heart so deep
To comfort you in whispered words
this evening as you fall asleep

Lost Key

Where did I leave it,
the key to my heart
Guess it doesn’t matter
can’t find anyone
To give it a jump start
It’s been so long now
starter motors probably gone
Thinking too hard about
where it’s gone wrong
Want to feel the rush again
Heart beating and pounding so fast
When someone special finds the key
And unlocks the passion at last
I want to feel that lurch
When butterflies flutter
In the pit of my belly
For when he is near my legs turn to jelly
Want to find my book in the fridge
My shoes on the table
Cos my mind is a mess
Concentrate I’m not able
To just think his name
And say it over and over
Like I’ve found the four leafed clover
Will I be that lucky
Or will the door stay shut
And the key lost forever
And my heart will turn hard like
An empty nut.

Shapely and sturdy
with ridges
to explore..

The texture is
smooth
and lovingly
adored..

A priceless gift
which can
only be bestowed..

By a thought
a moment
of pure
heavenly bliss..

So with this key
that unlocks
for only a rare few..

May you find
upon entering
this..

sacred..

glorious..

place..

Your key
fits
perfectly..

In your
own
precious gate.

Sung In the Key of Our Love

Sung in the key of our love

Dancing an evening of splendor
You in my arms for a while
Lips that now beg me surrender
Blushing a euphoric smile

Melodies waft in emotions
Spinning as harmonies flow
Endless the moonlit devotions
Bound now as one in its glow

Silhouette patterns are swaying
Soft on this leaf covered floor
Lost in the twilight displaying
Choreographed evermore

Follow my heart, it is singing
Lyrics sent down from above
Now of the happiness bringing
Sung in the key of our love
