Best Intrepidly Poems

Premium Member Wading For You

Before I leave from this world
A vision of you I yearn to see
Intrepidly my heart leads on
I possess the door but not the key

A swan on this lake of love
Loneliness, finally, has reared its head
Cold is the lake I am drifting on
I search the shallows for warmth instead

No comfort to be found for my aching heart
The shallows may be clear to see your way
But I desire the depths to dive down in
To turn this night into day

Intrepidly Through Her Eyes

Though my eyes my have dark circles
And my hands have become hardened and blotchy from life
My worth is valued
I have seen the discarded past of war and men
Progress accelerated through fields of gold
But at heart I am not old
I may sit by the window dressed in holiday attire
And my legs have become thin as wire
Amongst the fragrant lilies my family gave me to watch
I smell the dreaded aroma of mossback clothes
Fermenting old pudding idle and stale left in the bowl
But at heart I am not old
I hear the cries of sadness weeping into the afternoon
Have they cursed themselves for their inability to roam?
Helplessly strapped into a existence alone
Time passes with the speed of molasses
Lying beside the bed are the old mans glasses
But at heart I am not old
Human suffering lost floating in their room
In need to rest for this weary soul entombed
I can still remember parts of my younger days
My husband and the children we raised
Though I struggle to stand tall
I won’t fall
But at heart I am not old

Premium Member Commandment Battlement - Part Three -

The Queen's henchmen penetrate professionally the porous perimeter,
as a Phyrric victory I pacified your Lady's legion,
for both in the open, like charriots missing riders, decentralized command, the measure,
I, like you maneuver behind the superior shelter of Praetorian's protection,

Levy the lurid seige upon my country's citadel as incensed infidels do,
your cantankerous catapaults wasting pawns like pebbles punched by a storming sea,
an officer sacraficed sardonically, intrepidly,
so to decimate the dormant foots encumbering you,
audacious as an angered asp the timely tactic was, will it hasten your demise to me?

Mandatory machinations amongst this moonlight morass, palpable being Death's caress,
a zephyer like a frosty scythe grazes gingerly our anxious eyes,
tethering the still strategy of mens' mentation,
advancing positions predicted but unproven, an apocolyptic inevitability provoked,
fostering inclement suspense,
justice is now beyond principle, virtue survives only on victor's blade,
incantations made in fire for fear's sublimation,

The common denominator of this prommenade of predation is relentless domination,
manipulating the opposition, perception taunted and haunted
as the fox dictates the chimerical chase,
a vermillion heartbeat, virulent, lucious, with a thin hum of vincibility
lures you to na spot of fragile dominion,
divided forces tend to scream like burning forest
when ambushed along trails of a tedious pace,

When the harp chords chortle tears of tucker from a skulless head, recall with dire dignity
that you were vanquished in strong purpose,
the memory of your egregious exploits will depend on the degree of quater
afforded by my soveriegnty
given to this proud harem of prospective sybils
rescued by a king's necessary nemesis,

Free Cee Segulls Soar On Sorrow Street

SEAGULLS SOAR ON SORROW STREET

I to suffer such insufferable grief
I to suffer being a thief
I to veer from this avenue
I to steer from this street
I to find the fork and foe
I to find a road where roses grow
Where wearing white means pristine scenes
And blue means supple breezes that blew
I to tread intrepidly upon tremulous trails
I to be all that being entails
All the industrious endeavors and goals
By all us wondering and wandering souls
I to discover and uncover facts finally found
I to discover to where I am bound
I to be granted far greater ground
Midst the sound of seagulls on sand so sublime
Where a backdrop of beauty bides its time
I to cull myself from this cul-de-sac of crime
Shackled by shameless and desperate desire
pitifully progressing from the dire to a fire
Cuffed to a rough exterior displayed

Undaunted, uncouth, and unabashedly unafraid

I to find the end of my load
I to find a bend in the road
I to travel where angels abound
I to go where buds of dreams grow from the ground
I to exist where astronomy will ever astound
I to soak sublimely in that seagull’s sound
I to live where equality and tranquility abound
Oh, if only my years of depravity could be retroactively rewound

Dream Bug

"Dream Bug"

Hour glass
rainbows sparkling
crystal grainy rapids
sliding intrepidly through life’s fingers

their coloured sands speak in tones
they are obtuse and vapid
like snowflakes they fall
confetti on my hands

Writing you
between there
and here again
a feckless court jester

fearless sometimes
walking handstands
painting portraits
in pedantic rhyme

then a page stained,
you're thumb-licked and turning
metaphors gliding ghosting
a snail trail planchette

words miss spelled
they are moulting
like white feathers from cooing doves
we are back in grades of one

singled out on school parade
while the band plays on
we are all caught
like grounded gefilte fish in class

when the saints
go marching in
we’re stopped
for covert mingling

In the office a Nosferatu principal
ignores the grief
behind his two spectacles
two sets of hands are requested straight
knuckles down and held out

the bamboo cane
coaxed no passing
secrets out,
automata face
scream time put on delay

the clock to midnight
on his crypt's wall, hidden
strikes still a braille mind
doesn't once drop the ball

it smiles ruthfully
dialling up the forbidden
chemistry of tears,
a juxtoposition
from the internal well

My opal sky suspended
heaving dreams falling slow mo
through foggy clouds
are breathed in like lavender rain

antiseptic are all
our polished stories
rehearsed repetitively
then delayed and side courted

tennis left hand
lucid inarticulate
backhanded
Love all

candy hearted
is a fresh game
pulled swiftly
from a side pocket

refuting singing flutes
whistling and caressed
by a tongue flirtatiously wetting lips
a regular, pulsating change of pitch

a romantic vibrato
recalled
he calls me
a witch

Scent of a woman
once je t'adore
now her true essence leaking
their personalities mirror switched

bloodied and cut
pieces of peace
stolen by a foolish matador
she’s holding open the exit door

Dream Bug
walks across a
marked and sullied page
lines bleeding right

Melting
dissolved
to the far corner

lid sealed
in a glass jar
left-brained

Dream Bug

The Sword Is On the Field

For those who should
Be on watch
In our defense
Opted for a romance with her
Chasing the treasures on her neck
In an endless discovery

The Sword is on the field….
For they have trodden the path
Of small is not beautiful
In a parasitic center
Drunk with wine in which
Is dissipation
While the sword drinks in mirth
The blood of contemporaneity
Our confessed sentinels
Have refused to stand
Girding their waists with altruism
These voluptuous sentinels
Forgot,
The river that draws the battle line
With its origin will not live to grind the axe

The Sword is on the field
For they decided
To sheath their sword
Even the shield and the helmet
Watched intrepidly at the ordnance
Shaking their heads in utter dismay

The Sword is on the field
It is yet to be satiated
For the elects
Shod their feet
Verbalizing false gospel of oneness
With unedifying necessities
That imparts no grace to the hearers

The Sword is on the field….
And the field in ceaseless flow of bloodied democracy
In ceaseless flow with dumdum bullets
The master’s sword of legitimacy
Is undermined
And the sword bruised sanctity

Still, The Sword is on the field!
Where shall we run?
When small is not beautiful
We sanctify the field
But the blood
Would not cease to flow

Love Rekindled

Lovers each parted their ways,
Tears cause misty sprays.
Colder grew them both,
Love amid them was now an old growth.

Lovers wear on their poignant face a pair of abysmal drenched brows,
Each parted brow one crumpled, other rumpled as twinge, sonorous it grows.
Their ways parted but for scores to come both would grieve,
Tears to obscure make believe a poker face for all to deceive.

Cause misty sprays now quench and quell the fervent fires of the raving heart,
Colder grew to icier but a dim flame of passion lies to be kindled although apart.
Them both a score later brought face to face by fate or fortune to meet,
Love amid them, wedged, now flickered and glinted, sneering smiles as they greet.

Was now at hand frozen silence and two tear blubbering faces,
An old growth of love renascence and regenerates.
Now the feelings cold erase and hate displace,
To make way for their searching love to take them to a higher place.

To melt intrepidly into each other’s arms and embrace,
Depose and oust with grace the long worn mask of the poker face.

Silence Is a Poem

"Silence is a Poem"

Silence is a poem
she is music in me
a constant chattering conversation

she is my daily mantra
big love residing in my heart
wrapped as a gift;

the child in time
finds me waiting
in words she traces from my mind

I’ve written for her
A path,
she intrepidly follows

She unties the ribbons
Love is not blind
It is for her

my present

I - Illusion

Images of incineration interrupt
Infernal imagery imposes in intricate intervals, illegible to those ill with ignorance
Inadequate ideologies imply impoverish ways, never to be incriminated no matter how idiotic
Inattentive to our imaginary inflation issues
Improvident to the waste of industrial indispensables
Keep ignoring the impending invasion and downward inclination or intercept the intrusion on your intellect and intervene
Invent instinctively into your own invincibility
An influx of idiots with no positive incline, our inability to feel insults our intelligence
Intolerant insecurities about income and the "it" influences impair our inner insight
This IS an impeachment against the institutions for informing the incredulous and inciting the irrelevant
I will stand intrepidly, inheriting the impending inferno

Crossroads

My journey has been long
a few steps proven wrong
I keep searching for a way
with the dawn of each day
to discover where I belong
before I sing a Swan Song
I seek a virtuous moral path that will lead me to a much better life
A more righteous one without knowing hardships, miseries and strife
I've walked with countless burdens; each a heavy albatross on my back
And I've grown weary of being dealt yet another losing hand of blackjack
At this crossroads I stand
A choice at my command
Which way shall I choose
I'm not offered any clues
To bear right or to the left
I'm feeling sad and bereft
Tears fall as I humbly pray
Upon my knees, I now say
Give me Your guiding light
A North star shining bright
Or trills from a nightingale
If moonbeams are too pale
I need to view a faint glow
of hope so I'll surely know
the direction of my destiny
Time to declare, intrepidly
in a clear, reassuring voice
the roadway of my choice
Hoping it's the one for me
The path that sets me free

Premium Member That Magic Scent of Lilacs

Day after day I’d be walking on autopilot back to my abode
Till there it was that stop-you-in-your-tracks odorous bouquet
How lovely those long awaited lilacs would magically explode
Brazenly caressing my tender nostrils every month of May
All so very eager for that first sign summer’s on its way

A forerunner reminder that school would soon be out
Lilacs announced freedom intrepidly to the wind
Of that there would be never the least infinitesimal doubt
After a year of being studious, not much left to rescind
Suddenly daydreams of summer were allowed and we just grinned

Anniversary

It was a day that was set so deep back in her past
For as of today it was such a dark contrast
But soon after Roe vs Wade had eked into law
This poor woman would experience her greatest fall

So as each new year so intrepidly passes her by
All those questions only grow louder as to why
And just as tomorrow will soon be here
None of these answers have ever become clear

There is nothing she can change or anything she can do
Except maybe telling her story to someone like you
For tomorrow is going to be a very long day
But it will be for young women like you that this woman will pray

For even though thirty eight years have now since past
Each year gets harder to take than the last
If anyone ever offers you an anniversary like mine
I pray to God that you will instinctively decline

Fantastic four

A genuine hero isn't one that's flawless
Arguably not the one garmented with
Absolute forfeits but one who is purely
Accountable in securing relationships
Amiably without trade of another life.

Fantastically feeding through the
Flickering lengths of surfaces
Flawlessly demonstrating, yet exploring the
Fatal ends of the earth
Formulated with his hands.
Firmly confronting unknown demons with
Frictions slipping through the gutters
Flourished and aided by true
Friendship with an unending ink.
                      Mr. Fantastic.'

Invisibly sewing through the storm
It's amazing how universal laws
Illuminates patterns bearing geniuses.
Intrepidly matched with foxes and foes
Incognito, still dooming through the runs
Inexorable the heiress that jogs through walls
Infallibly without a pause for blockages.
                     'The Invisible Woman.'

Humbly joining the waves in a path
Haven to show light in reflection of
Hazardous challenges and adventures
Hurtful exposures but the
'Human touch' burns through
Heartily thrives not drowning in power
Havoc stricken but banked on
Hopelessly sticking to what's better than potatoes.
Family!
                     'The Human Touch.'

The Thing that Grimm's do is
Tactfully take souls to the other world full of
Turbulence but he possesses a crushing strength
Tenaciously draws the souls back to life
Triumphant discoveries without boundaries
Topped against gravity and human deposition
The sailors enemy isn't the dreadful
Tenebrous storms but the ignorance and absence of
Tough likeminds that can generate a tunnel.
                    'The Thing.'

A fantastic four!

Reflections On a Collection of Pickled Specimens

Men of affairs, scientists, gentlemen collectors,
researchers, technicians, plankton detectors.
Ladies, when permitted, provided manful help
Wading shorelines intrepidly for variegated kelp.

Be-whiskered men off charted shores
their Science to be applied.
From blindest depths defy stern jaws
to reveal a great divide.
Thus predate all faith - shift their cores –
expecting the spring tide.

Knowing their names, seeking their protection.
Categorised, specified, a literal dissection.
Must now each specimen elders plucked, and carefully
selected,
be hidden forever, politically corrected?

Dead-eyed and soaked, deep in their jars.
Pickled in formaldehyde.
Gentleman, killer? The choice is yours,
Think well before you decide.
Is the Creator of countless stores
Dr. Jekyll or Mister Hyde?
